  1. Halibrand might be the most famous (and coolest IMHO) wheels in racing (road racing, Indy, drag). They made some great street car wheels as well. I thought I would start a project to catalog as many of the wheel types as I can. When possible I will include a kit/aftermarket source. I would welcome any and all contributions. All I ask is that you please please please include a photo.
  2. Another nice build Tim. Love old school NASCAR.
  3. Lyle Lovett - Joshua Judges Ruth https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyFEjuIJsng https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuRb21nMysg
  4. Sounds like you did a bunch of work on this Tim. Do you have any progress photos?
  5. Beautiful work as always Geoff.
  6. And speaking of wheels the TdF car ran GT40 style Halibrands at the rear and as best as I can determine FIA style Halibrands at the front. As mentioned above HRM offers a beautiful set of the FIA wheels and Goodyear Sportscar Special Tires but I have never found a nice 1/25 scale GT40 Halibrand. So we make one! The Fujimi wheels are gorgeous but too large as they are 1/24 scale. After some measuring I determined the wheel center could be made to fit HRM's outer rim and tires. Working from a set of Fujimi fronts this is what I came up with.
  7. Thanks Ray. Dann the wheels and tires are from HRM.
  8. Thanks Mitch. Mock-up with the body fully primed.
  9. Its coming along nicely Ismael.
  10. Starts Jan 2nd on NBC Sports in the USA.
  11. Mike, I cut off the leading edge of the roof at the top line of the windshield trim, then re-scribed the trim detail. Did the same procedure at the rear window. The kit glass works fine with the enlarged opening.

    Great builds Tommy.
  13. Great work here Steve.
  14. To improve the look of the current issue of AMT's '66 Fairlane raise the top edge of both the front and rear glass. Here is a modern issue of the '66 Fairlane. Notice how the leading edge of the roof curves too far down into the windshield opening. Now compare that to an original issue Fairlane. And here is a modern Fairlane where I have performed the mods. More comparison between a modified body on the right and an unmodified body on the left. Curiously AMT's '67 Comet doesn't suffer from the drooping roof line.
  15. No problem Michael. Please post pictures of your project, would love to see it. I have a few significant Cobra builds myself and several more in progress.
  16. Here you can see the unique roll bar Loyd "Lucky" Casner (the 2nd owner and the founder of Camoradi Racing) had installed.
