  1. The 350 is nice but I like the 612 better.
  2. Another nice one. I have Hasegawa's 1/24 scale kit that is on my must build some day list
  3. Very nice.
  4. Most fans think the NFL made the right call in suspending Tom Brady. That’s the result of an ABC News/ESPN poll, which found that 63 percent of all fans and 76 percent of self-described “avid” fans supported the NFL’s decision to suspend Brady for four games and strip draft picks from the Patriots for Deflategate. The poll also found that a majority of fans say that Brady and the Patriots cheated, although the vast majority of fans think other teams cheat, too. In fact, only 6 percent of fans think cheating is limited to the Patriots. If there’s any good news in the poll for Brady, it’s that his reputation doesn’t appear to be irreparably damaged: A slim majority still view Brady as a good role model, and the vast majority still think Brady should be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame some day. Perhaps when that day comes, we’ll think more about the Super Bowl rings than about Deflategate. Even if right now, Deflategate overshadows Brady’s other accomplishments.
  5. Some great Rally cars coming from Beemax and (hopefully) a proper BMW E30. I was hoping to see a mock-up of the Escort RS1600 from Belkits.
  6. Won People's Choice. It was an impressive build.
  7. Looks like a cool project Art. I'll be following.
  8. Great kit subject. Wish they would release it in 1/24 scale.
  9. Russel check out this thread: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101789&hl=
  10. Thanks Joe. If I was better at it Gene I would probably enjoy it more.
  11. Yes, Tamiya spray can paint tends to flow out and level themselves better for me than I can accomplish with an air brush. More skilled painters get better results with an airbrush. Plus I don't like spraying solvent based paints in my house. I use the rattle cans outside.
  12. Look forward to seeing your build Gene.
  13. Welcome Russel. I learned a lot for from Bill Coulter's books. I highly recommend them. I understand there are a lot of modeling building videos on youtube. I can't recommend any as I haven't really checked them out. I would recommend that you really focus on building your basics modeling skills before you try to tackle the more advanced techniques you will find on this forum. Some basics skills include: Ceanup all your parts by removing the molding seam and injector pin marks (emery boards, small files and sand paper work great). Get a nice pair of side cutters for removing parts from the trees. I use Fiskars brand that I bought at Michaels. You don't want to twist or break the parts off the parts trees or you will damage them. Read through the instructions a few time before you start the build then follow the assembly order, this should minimize issue during final assembly. Test fit your parts. Kit parts rarely fit perfectly together straight out of the box. If they don't fit correctly work on them until they do. Remember a well assembled box stock build is still an impressive model. Hope you enjoy the hobby as much as I do. JC
  14. Never had any issues with Tamiya paints but I'll test the TS-15 before I spray it on the body.
  15. Thanks Tommy. I use rattlecans on the body Shay and airbrush everything else.
  16. Red Red Wine hit by UB40 written by Neil Diamond.
  17. "Blinded by the Light" big hit for Manfred Mann written by Bruce Springsteen.
  18. "Pushed the envelope" I think the term you are looking for is "deliberate broke the rules". No officer I wasn't speeding I was "pushing the envelope". It's the Governor's fault anyway, If he didn't set speed limits I wouldn't have to break them.
  19. Thanks Ron. Now I just have to hope I can apply a respectible paint job.
  20. Yep Shay that is the final stance. If you lived closer I would let you paint it. I hate painting! Thanks Gene.
  21. They didn't "find" an advantage they fabricated one. Its no an opinion that they balls were under-inflated it is a fact they where and it clearly wasn't inadvertent.
  22. This is what it will look like at our club's show, NNL Mid-Atlantic.
  23. I do something similar but I use very thin styrene rod (.010 or .020). I install the rod then flow some liquid cement in the gap. After it sets up I clean it up with sand paper then prime/paint.
