  1. With the help of a fellow forum member I was able to track down a teardrop hood scoop and fabricated this hood. In addition to fitting the hood scoop I added styrene strips along both edges of the hood to tighten up the fit which was rather sloppy. Please note you may need to perform minor sanding on the hood edges to fit it to your chosen body, much easier to remove a little material than to add it. Also the "FORD" letters where removed after these photos were taken and are not present on the resin copies. I then asked Norm at Replicas & Miniatures to cast it for me and he has decided to add it to his catalog. If you are interested in ordering please contact Replicas & Miniatures.

  13. Option #2 is to install the 1/24 scale 289 from the Revellogram Mustang kits into the Comet. The HRM parts would drop right onto this engine. I have successfully used this engine in several 1/25 scale builds - this AMT '66 Falcon B/FX is one example:
  14. HRM offers an intake and Weber carbs. https://www.modelbuilderswh.com/collections/engine-parts/products/weber-carbs-manifold-kit-1-24th-scale They are 1/24 scale but I adapted them to the 1/25 scale 289 from the AMT '67 Mustang here.
  15. I really like those wheels too Dennis but not for this project. Here is what I have chosen to use:
