Thank you Don! Too bad I did not get the chance to meet you today. I just put the car in the contest for fun......just wanted people to see something a little different from the norm. Too bad they wouldn't let me enter my 1/12 Super Snake......it was there but unable to compete because of the size.

Wish I could teach it Rob! Guess I am fortunate it hasn't happened yet. Entered this in the Miniature Motors Competition Show today......Won second place in the curbside slammer class! Pretty happy with that!

I think it is great!! Don't fret about the color change.....I helped my daughter on her Enzo snap and we did it HOK pearl pink! It is in Under Glass somewhere.

A few more in low light......

Hey guys! Got it done today. 13 total coats of paint and clear + the BMF shapes integrated in. This was a fun build and was a good way to get rid of some parts lingering around, besides it should be a cool display piece because it is one of a kind. It started with the Stingray III concept, then I added the R35 GTR rear (was sectioned heightwise about 4 mm), then the Lotus Esprit rocker panels, and finally the 911 GT2 flares.......+ a couple of other parts here and there. All that is really left is to put the four exhaust tips on but I figured while I had light I would take the shots.

Will be good to see "the guys" again and hopefully meet you (Nick) and some others tomorrow. Just look for the big dark blue gt500 on a table.....that will be me.

Thanks again guys! I appreciate all the support!.....it will be done today. Got the R35 GTR taillights in last night, headlights with projectors, and exhaust tips. Today just have to finish up the graphics with some BMF and put it together one last time!

Hopefully done......I guess I better get back on it!

Hey it is only plastic right? Sometimes the color is not necessarily THE color.....not the only color that is.

As stated before.....the red was stage one, THIS is stage two. HOK Galaxy Gray Pearl with a Starlight Silver blend up from the bottom......the red was masked (BMF) with the shapes and then shot the gray and silver. Took these with the 30D Still getting used to it so they are not perfect!

Thanks Luis! It looks pretty good I'd say in person........but it is the base coat for this paint job so it will be just one of the colors on the body. I plan to do more, afterall it is a DRIFT car.

I'm using up the HOK paint I was getting from my LHS. They had smaller bottles of it.....but I think they stopped getting it in that size so I will be looking too soon.
