  1. Thanks Oscar! Just a little creative cleanup of parts.......
  2. Thanks Kerry! What do you guys think? Not so sure if I should cover the body up with stickers like a DRIFT car now that it is in primer.......wondering if it will ruin the look.
  3. HEY! Got some new photos of it in Tamiya white primer......there are a few spots of white putty on it but they will get sanded out later. The white will make the Kandy Raspberry POP!
  4. http://www.redfroghobbies.com/productDetail.php?id=14348 I found this the other day for the grille material.....
  5. Looks real good Jon! That kit is a real nightmare and you tamed it into a fine looking model. Good job! One piece of advice, try some Elmer's clear glue for the windshield next time.....it wont fog out.
  6. I am glad you posted that info Skip. I figured not everyone would want to build it like the Gullwing America version........that is why I did not cut out the taillights, exhaust holes, and the mini grilles below the headlights and on the rear........should be a fairly easy task to change it over to the original version.
  7. Thanks Jeff! I just work with what's available out there.......then fill in the blanks afterward.
  8. Thank you Jeff! Your comments and interest in this is the reason I keep doing it. I also love the wagon.......when this gets casted I am going to produce a wagon version down the road.
  9. Hey thanks Bruce! Maybe someone will step up and create the decals.......
  10. Thanks guys for all the kind comments! Gerald, you are on the right track......!
  11. Thanks Clint! Still up in the air about the hardtop. Thanks for the compliments! I knew I would come up with something for them. Thanks again!!
  12. First sand done with 240 grit wet. Some filling will be needed here and there but the body is starting to take shape....
  13. Man that is looking cool Kerry!!!! Love the look with the headlight doors in place! When you cut up those wheels can you save me the centers?? If you aren't using them that is.....
  14. Thanks Jon (again)! Today I massaged in the sides and all the areas where parts meet.......it really smoothed out the body, I am starting to look at it as a convertible!! Pics soon.......gotta sand first.
  15. Looks great Rob!! It's gotta feel good to have it to this point! This would look awesome next to my Carrera-PanaAmericana Ferrari 340 Mexico (once I get the body back from Greg Wann.) Heck, you'll be able to build your own soon!!
  16. WOW! Amazing job on this Silvia Delfin! The Super Advans really pop against that paint! Outstanding!
  17. Thanks Jon! I am happy that you enjoyed watching this come to life. The big thing here is that I wanted to make it available for others to build.......if I can do it, why shouldn't I? That was my drive.....!
  18. Thanks a lot for the compliments guys! The paint scheme on this one will be wild!! The main color will be a Kandy Raspberry with white, chrome, black and red graphics with red centers on the wheels.. oh yeah, it needs a wing too.....something driftstyle! I'm thinking one thing to do will be to get rid of the "wing" windows, that should smooth out the side window area, then I'll take a look at the rear window. (Kinda like how the glass fits right now though.)
  19. Hey thanks Larry and Tom!! I am thinking of doing it in a DRIFT series paint scheme....like APEXi or Greddy that will incorporate BMF with bright colors.
  20. Hey guys back again with another build, this time it is a "cleanup" curbside build.......that means most of this was added with scraps from other builds. My 11 year old daughter came up with the name the first time she saw this.......and for me the name fits it quite well. The main body is from the Stingray III kit. The flares and front air dam are from a Tamiya 911 GT2. The sideskirts are from a Lotus Esprit. annnd the rear clip is from a R35 GTR. With the exception of the Stingray III, all this was from the "parts box." What you see was put together Saturday night and part of Sunday. The wheels in the pic are just for size mockup.....still up in the air on what ones will be on it. Right now the lighting is not great so I'll keep it to two photos.......
  21. I'm watching this too Ronald! Love the subject matter!!
