  1. Wow, that got some air! I wonder the cause, hard to tell but looks like the semi was on or missed the on-ramp, glad they're OK.
  2. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74144&hl=tools http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9729 I know I've seen an other one on basic tools to get started but can't seem to find it. These can give you an idea of whats used and what you actually need to get started. As for the cost, it can be as expensive as you want to make it. When I got back into modeling I put an add on craigslist- looking for model cars, parts, and supply's and got most of my tools and supply's at very reasonable prices.
  3. Number 1 not a surprise but am surprised there is no Christine- I mean a movie named after and about a car?
  4. Nice start, I'm really liking the finished models I've been seeing-thinking I need one. I would be interested in hearing of any problems or positives as this build progresses, If you would be kind enough to share. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to this build.
  5. I am looking forward to the Moebius Ford, It seems half my to do builds are pickups and that looks like a nice one. Nick, would you have a stash if not for being a spender? It sounds like you have your supply like most of us but what is one more. Especially a new tooling.
  6. Richard, I've enjoyed your class builds and am liking this new "class". Thanks for sharing
  7. Nice paint work, I would not have the patience to attempt something like that-well done.
  8. Nice build, I like the headers and the whole exhaust system.
  9. That's quite an ambitious project, I look forward to seeing this come together.
  10. That is some pretty amazing work and I agree the details and photography are excellent. Thanks for sharing.
  11. That's awsome-like the colors.
  12. That turned out nice, I might have to add this one to the to do list.
  13. I have never used there customer service but am glad to hear this and believe they are really trying to give us modelers good service and quality models. (5.0 Mustang hopefully the exception and not the rule.)
  14. Nice job Carl, love the color. I have that in primer and hope to finish as a bumblebee-- if it's the amt version it is an 06 but would like to do a Revell, In my opinion the new Revell tooling across the board is making great strides for the price point they are in.
  15. Nice job, styrene is definitely a healthier addiction. Keep at it.
  16. They are right, once you start cutting plastic theres no going back. Enjoy the trip and I'll keep an eye out for ya.
  17. I have been shiny in all my builds but want to venture into rusty and crusty. I hope they look as good as that. Thanks for sharing.
  18. Nice job, I like your signature line, it's similar to the one in my head when I build.--The devil is in the details. In saying that , nice wire work on the master cylinder.
  19. Thanks for the response guys, your thoughts and experience are what I am starting to see but I wasn't sure. I guess it's time to refresh the pond. Thanks Steve, your right not many of us on here but I do hope to contribute. I have lots of WIP over the last few years that will start showing up in under glass as the ideas and inspiration come to fruition. In short, I'm addicted to styrene again.
  20. Nice execution. I was watching this build in the early stages and somehow had not seen it for awhile but it turned great.
  21. Nice job, I like the extra BMF it really sets it off. The Lonestar looks sharp too.
  22. Very nice build and gift.
  23. Yes,15 ft away and hopefully never to be needed.
  24. Great tip, but I have question to the community and I hope you don't mind Steve. I have had a pond for several years now and it seems to be less effective. It is in the garage does freeze in winters and has been well used. My question is does it have a shelf life or use life, or needs to be stirred. This is a question I have wondered and hope to get some others experience on the matter. Thanks
