Was at O'Reillys to pick up some oil & I always look at the paint & notice they have Dupli Color Lacquer Clear for paint guns in the quart can & directions say on the can that no reducer is need & that you spray it strait from your paint gun but have the option to thin it if needed. So has anybody used this to clear there builds.
Thank you for the info on the wing Jesse ! and I learned a lot from building the Bee and that was to be more patient while building.
Art thank you also ! & I hope to have this finished for the show in Oct.
Forgot to let you all know what I had scratch built on the Bee.
Intake Manifold & Fuel Rails & Fuel Regulator & Fuel Lines
Ignition Coil & Has all Brake Lines Ran & Has 4 Wheel Disc Brakes With Calipers & all 4 Backing Plates For Brake Rotors
Brake Line Fittings
Roll Bar & Hood Scoop
Fuel Tank
Does anyone no what the base color is for the body panel ?
Looks like a light orange to me but not sure since there are not very many good pictures out there of this dragster with much detail.
Thank You
Started a new build which will be a Tony Nancy Revell Liner Dragster and this build will be a bit of a challenge for me since this will be my first attempt at building a Dragster. Started on the main part of the frame & Motor & will replace the rear two piece slicks with one piece slicks.
Thank you all for the great comments ! I really appreciate them. Here are few pictures of the engine bay which I still need to add the carb linkage to the carbs.
She is basically done except for adding the rest of the exhaust from the headers on back & getting the linkage onto the carbs.
I'd to thank everyone here on this board for the encouragement on this build & all the great feed back while I was building this sometimes stubborn Mopar which was painted three times ! I'd also like to thank Art and John also for there generosity on letting me pick there brain some on Sunday at the NNL Show and to congratulate them on there Wins ! and Carl Slusher also for following me on this build.
Finished the Bee at 12:10 am !
Well almost finished, I still wanted to add on to the exhaust & add the linkage to the carbs but just ran out of time so I will probably do the add ons at a later date.
Now I'm ready for the NNL in Chatsworth !
