  1. Had a little set back this morning before getting to work on the Bee I discovered that a water line to my sprinkler system had broke but is repaired now after digging up a 3 x2 hole to get to the broken pipe and repair it. But now I'm back on the Bee & doing my favorite thing BMF the trim !
  2. Finally have the last brake line in place & glued ! Gave me a little trouble but it is installed !
  3. Was able to get the brake line from rear ran to the front & the two brake lines ran on the front ran & one to the brake master but still have one brake line left to run to brake master then the brake lines will be finished. Only took three hours to run the three lines & two brake line connectors. Not really happy they way the look but they will have to do. Pictures coming soon.
  4. Slow progress but was able to get the rear wheels installed & the firewall . I was test fitting the inner front fender walls & the right inner did not fit quit right so I had to shave it down some . Now it mates to the firewall a lot better now but there is a little gap now but I can live with it. Seems like the closer I get to wrapping this up little issues come up but I will push on to get this done by Saturday. I want to thank you all for the encouragement on this build which had its issues but the good thing is that I have learned a lot from this build and will be able to carry what I have learned on to my future builds.
  5. Amazing workmanship Art ! Can't wait to see this in person again.
  6. As always Carl a big thank you !
  7. Art yes I'm hoping to get it finished in time for Sunday & will you have the Willy's there ?
  8. Some progress this evening on the front brake hoses which I have gotten installed and the rear brake hose installed also. I know the front brake junctions are probably not in the correct place but it looks good to me. Tomorrow night my goal will to run the front brake hard lines & install the rear also.
  9. I seem to always add something to a build if its something mild or really detailed. But its about fifty fifty on my builds.
  10. Awesome Build ! Going to have to pick up some of those candy paints.
  11. Slow work today on the Bee because I do not want have to redo anything that I have finished. After figuring out where to run the brake lines I needed to scratch build two more fittings so they are in primer & I'm waiting on them to dry. Installed the oil housing & filter, added some black wash to the alternator to tone it down a bit & also worked on the pewter carbs which will just need linage attached to them since they are fuel injected & here is a mock up of the motor in the chassis & front brake rotors installed.
  12. Just noticed on the alternator that the chrome is just to bright so I will gently give it a wash to tone it down a bit.
  13. Amazing Job ! Saw this in person at NNL West in Feb
  14. I have installed the fuel line to the front of the fuel regulator which I had forgotten to do earlier when I was installing the fuel lines. Now it's time to get the brake lines ran & installed to the front calipers.
  15. After the Bee was color sanded & next will be the bmf then the scratch X then polish.
  16. Moving along with this build I have just finished polishing out the body so next will be to apply the bmf but first I will start laying down the brake line from the rear to the front & install the front lines & attach them to the front calipers. I will post up pictures as I move forward on this.
  17. Thank You Carl ! Trying to finish the build up this weekend for the show next weekend.
  18. Worked on the fuel system today which Is installed except for the fuel line that needs to feed the fuel pressure regulator which I will do after the glue drys.I should have installed it when I installed the regulator to the front fuel lines & the headers are on. I also have the rear brake line installed with the 3 way fitting for the soft line which all of these parts I have scratch built except for the brake hard line which is bead wire. More updates to come!
  19. Was able to get the front fuel lines assembled with the fuel pressure regulator & installed to the fuel rails. Then started on the rear assembly of the fuel junction and one fuel line installed to it and will finish that up tomorrow night & will have pictures when engine is finished.
  20. I work at a shop where we build new technology into old school 4X4 trucks by hand from the ground up & the average cost of one is about $150,000. We do not skimp on using cheap parts to build these vehicles plus they are assembled by hand and not by computerized robots which in turn is why are vehicles are more expensive but are built very well with minimal issues after they are delivered. What my opinion on the GM problem is plain and simple corporate greed and its not just the automobile makers it has affected it has affected a lot of the corporate business in this world and it is very sad to see.
  21. That want protection from law suits but what about the bail out they got so they could stay in business and who do you think paid for that .
