  1. Was able to get a couple of coats of clear on today ! So I will let it gas out for about a week then rub it out. May work on assembling the engine tonight & figure out where to run the fuel lines.
  2. Well I have applied the Super Bee decals to the rear strip on the tail end of the Coronet & they look pretty good so after they cure I will shoot some clear on the body tomorrow then some pictures.
  3. Yes they make they bumble strip but in the kit decals it is only on the white strip not the black and that is the strip i used since it goes better with the green.
  4. Thank you for the info Art ! She is looking awesome ! Hoping to get the Bee done for next month also.
  5. Guys thank you for offering the decals its really appreciated but I already have applied the strip on the back after the c strips disintegrated. So I got an idea that I might cut out the bee's from the white c strips and apply those on the sides of the black strip that comes down the sides of the rear quarter panels. Does that make sense ? and what do think yes or no ?
  6. A little progress on the Bee which is that I have applied the rear strip decal but disappointed with the decals that come with this kit because I was wanting to use the C strips that go along the sides of the rear quarter panels but as soon as they where put in the water for about 30 seconds they just broke apart as they came off the paper. Next step will be to clear it this weekend.
  7. Thomas the paint was Testors One Coat Lacquer Lime Ice decanted from the can then airbrushed. Thank you for the encouragement ! This build has been fighting me a lot of the time but it has taught me some lessons as I move along with it slowly.
  8. John every new build from you is just Amazing !
  9. Was able to get the side markers BMF & painted this evening so next will be the decals.
  10. Has anybody else noticed that on a lot of kits that that the configuration of the steering wheel to the drivers seat is always off plus not in scale sometimes. Reason being that I ask is that in the Bee kit the configuration is off on the way the stock steering sits basically on the drivers seat. So I have replaced the kit steering with a smaller one so it looks realistic to scale.
  11. Dennis try TDR 3 and www.shapeways.com
  12. Well I finally was able to shoot some color on the Bee today which now Is a different color since I ran out of the red. So next I will be applying the decals & getting the front & rear side markers detailed and then a few coats of clear to finish off the body.
  13. Amazing work Art ! Hope to see this build again next year in Santa Clara & what i was able to see in Feb was awesome. Art what did you use for the fittings on the end of the brake lines and for the rubber brake hose's ?
  14. Happy Building !

  15. Thank you Carl& Michael ! This build has been fighting me a bit but I will get her completed it's just taking a little patience on my behalf and learning from my mistakes.
  16. Well this is what the Bee looks like before the color coat & will try & shoot the color this weekend.
  17. Well got the body stripped of the paint and back in primer again so now its time to shoot the inside of the body with a mat black for the interior color of the headliner then the silver on the outside for the first coat then the color coat. I also have finally scratch built the fuel rails out of aluminum rod & bead wire to simulate the injectors which will be attached to the scratch built manifold.
  18. Just simply awesomely beautiful build !
  19. Awesome Job Build ! What do you use for paint & what do you use to spray with? Airbrush or Rattle can ?
  20. My LHS is quit stocked on kits & they always have the new releases. I always buy from my LHS and the pricing is always competitive.
  21. I bought a can of Rust-oleum Lacquer Clear for clearing small parts but has anyone actually used it to clear a body after it has been painted ?
