My brother had one that was a brownish color. It was different and did'nt look too bad. But then again I like earth tone colors myself. It had white intereior. It may have been a 73. I'm not a Mopar man but I think it had a 318 and it did have the twin scoop hood.

Very popular with people who want them and cannot afford or plain and simple not wanting to pay for them. There are still alot around here in the Detroit area. I'm not a big fan of the g-body's but being an Olds guy at heart I definately would buy several. Maybe it's a licensing issue with GM.

All good points but it seems to me if you pay half the price of the kit for 1 or 2 parts (including shipping) from the kit then you might as well just spring for the kit. This way you have extra stuff for later. Case in point, I've been looking for a set of wheels and tires from a certain kit. I saw two sets just two days ago on ebay sell for around 20 bucks with shipping for each set. If thats what they are going for then I'de just spend a little extra and buy a whole kit. Just my .02

If it's old kit stuff thats one thing but a new kit ? Some of the parts listed just is'nt worth the price when you add in shipping. Makes me just want to buy a second kit for parts.

How did I miss this thread. Anyway, my wife and I love this movie. I want to build these cars also. And I also love the movie Hot Rod. Great flick. I did start the Willy and researched the Cutlass. They used several cars for both. I'm also gonna build the white 1960 Olds wagon. Not so much that Studebaker truck.
