  1. You do incredible work. That is beautiful.
  2. Long shot but I'de like a 73-77 Vista Cruiser or 4 door Cutlass. 73 being the optimum year for me. Or a 1973 SS Malibu wagon. A 1977 Pontiac Can Am. Maybe a 77-79 Pontiac Catalina or Bonneville.
  3. That is beautiful.
  4. Nice save. Looks great.
  5. Nice work. Wagons rule.
  6. Very nice.
  7. Your getting there.
  8. Thanks guys and thanks for the pics. That is what I needed. I figured it was used in several kits due to the generic engine block, motor plate, headers and a few minor details. I've been researching the Logghe chassis for some details. I'm building a Cutlass funny car and will need to get another one of these kits or simular for the chassis. I'm keeping my rare JoHan stuff for a restoration project later. Mean while this one will be a fictisious (sp?) racer so I'm not worried about total accuracy of any particular car.
  9. Sorry about your loss Dan. I'm sure your father would be very proud if he could see the excellent job you did on this one.
  10. Man, that is sweet as hell. Nice work.
  11. So it is a Cadillac as it originated. Good to know.
  12. What a great save. I have to try polishing colored plastic. Do you have all the Buick rally's or do you plan to use soming else ?
  13. Very nice. There used to be a SS 396 car around here years ago in that exact same color combination. Seeing this brought back some good memories.
  14. Hey Bill, sorry about that. For some reason I was thinking I saw one offered with a modified Johan 75 Cutlass snap kit chassis. Or maybe that was a built up on ebay.
  15. What other kits shared this same MPC chassis ?
  16. For whatever reasons Revell "may" or "my not" have they are only cheating themselves out of $$$$ by not producing this kit. And no I'm not talking about a donk or diecast. If it was such a big deal for the Cutlass owner not to talk then they should have had him sign a confidentiality contract like all major companies do.
  17. The Revell Cutlass would be your best bet. The notched valve covers are wrong for b and c body cars so you want some from any Johan Olds kit. You'll want to cut off the short snorkel of the air cleaner to make a more accurate one. The Revell kit uses a short tail 400 trans as did all a bodies so you'll need to modify it into a long tail. You'll want to toss the chassis plate from the Delta and find something more suitable. The wheel base of the Cutlass will be shorter and can be lengthend.
  18. I remember those. I have one of those Mustang Cobra's I'm still trying to figure out if I'm gonna get rid of it or not.
  19. Thanks Greg. I did'nt know that kit was made in so many variations. Do you have any more pics or info on that Deuce ? That looks cool.
  20. I started this thread because of my disssatisfaction with some polyglas tires offered up for several years until recently. Unaware that the parts pac tires were of a newer design. I was pounced on by a few members who did nothing more then want to "correct" me or make smart azz remarks. Some of those same members did not like it when I posted the actual correct size information. As for being a fairly newbie here I did'nt realize I upset the status quoe by questioning a manufacturer. Forgive me for expecting a little more for the money kits cost nowadays. I belong to 1:1 auto boards that don't treat people like that. Some of the posts have been removed and I have now learned to be careful what I ask and a few special members to avoid. I even apologized to the board for my "apparent" ignorance. I even asked what new kits the new style tires came from ? Funny how those who were so quick to "correct" me were'nt very helpful at all. Nothing but the sound of grass growing. Yah, I know, there are some on every board. Now it appears that this topic is heading a stray so I will lock it now. Thank you to all those who have been helpful.
  21. Is the motor in the Early Iron 29 Ford an Olds or a Cadillac ? I thought it said Olds on the box but heard it's actually a Cadillac. I'm more familiar with the 60-70's Olds motors. Not so much with the earlier ones.
  22. That is beautiful. Glad you chose to do that instead.
  23. I'm not a big fan of the later El Camino's but that is sharp. Nice job.
  24. I'll be watching this.
