  1. That is badazz.
  2. Thanks guys. As fate worked in my favor the seller called me to let me know she had sold them. I never got a chance to see them. Someone found them for me at a yard sale and got her number. She lived about an hour from me or I would have just drove over there. I tried to get picks but the lady wasn't willing to. The phone pic my friend sent me sucked but it really didn't look like I missed much.
  3. I know it's too general of a question but I just need a rough idea of what temp your basic AMT/MPC/Revell etc kit plastic will start to warp and deform at. I found someone with a bunch of unopened kits they want to sell but they have been in a steel shed for a few years. The seller said they were covered in storage boxes and will not let anyone open the kits individualy to check ? I have'nt seen them yet to see the condition of the boxes so I thought I'de ask before I take the drive.
  4. Revell did such a nice job with the A/C stuff and valve covers, I just wish they would have made an alternator bracket. I made one myself but it still would have been nice to have. Also, the JoHan Olds motors used a early Toronado style power steering pump, front cover and oil pan. Even with their 442 kits.
  5. Nice work. Are the P/L kits more accurate then the older MPC kits, chassis wise ?
  6. Very nice Camaro.
  7. I have another but I'm having a hard time getting it to load. So here is a link to the page which also has some info on the car. Or at least the only one left of the two F-85's used. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/munns-root-beer-cutlassfrom-the-movie-hot-rod.455411/page-4
  8. Hey John. No, I don't. Just some pics of the car off the internet.
  9. Welcome and glad you decided to stay.
  10. You're just begging for trouble when you park like that. Even tho I always try to park away from everyone else, no matter where or when, there is always a car or two that has to park next to me. Almost every time.
  11. My daughter and I stopped at the ModelCave about a week ago and bought a 69 Chevelle convertible, The Judge funny car and a couple AMT tire pacs. I bought the Judge for the chassis to do my Cutlass funny car. My daughter has her own model car collection. She just painted her 57 Chevy herself and did a great job considering it's the first time she ever painted anything.
  12. No kidding ? There is a difference between helping someone and always having to be a smartazz while doing it.
  13. That is just plain wicked. I remember the Buick vs Hemi wars back in the 90's Muscle car review magizines. Richard Lassiter (sp?) owned the Stage 1 GS. I don't remember who owned the Hemi. It was alot of drama. One camp said they won while the other camp would say they won. In the end noone really won because the cars were far from stock and original. Being an Olds guy myself my preferance would be a 70 W-30 or W-31 first with a 1970 GS Stage-1, a close second.
  14. Interesting subject but doubt it would sell very well. Growing up in Detroit, I rode in several of these when I was a kid. They were huge inside and rode rather well considering they were built heavy duty to last a long time. But that little jump seat sucked to set in.
  15. Kinda like you always wasting time focussing on correcting people instead of just helping.
  16. Just wondering if anyone would be interested in making decals for the Munn's rootbeer F-85 used in the movie Hot Rod ? I do not have the skills or capabillities of making them myself. There's been lots of the Willy's models built but noone has done the F-85. Anyone else interested in these ?
  17. I'de be happy if someone would just make some nice complete window frame sections to convert the 69 AMT/MPC Cutlass body into a F85. Just a whole piece for each side so all you would have to do is trim and fit.
  18. Dirty Harry car would be cool. So would a Matador cop car from Hot Rod.
  19. No matter what you say, there just is no reason to act that way.
  20. Not to change the subject but does anyone know what year and model the old Ford was that picked up Jimmy Shine at the end of Hollywood Knights ? I think it was a 61 Starliner like this, was'nt it ?
  21. Thats beautiful. I've been wanting to build one for a long time. My dad bought my mom a brand new 64 SS, 409, 4 speed convertible. Yup my mom was a hot rodder. Got a pic of it somewhere but can't make out the colors because it's a black and white photo. Unfortunately my folks have passed on and my older brothers don't recall what color it was. They were both pretty young and I was'nt even born yet. Ok, sorry for the babble. Nice work.
  22. Very nice. Killer detail work.
  23. Nice work. I painted one gold also. The a pillers on these do suck and break often so don't worry about it. I also like your choice of wheels that closely resemble the better looking SS1's. Also, good job on no trunk decals. Everyone always add those even tho they are incorrect.
  24. Thank you for the link. I was'nt able to open before because of my pos computer but now I can see all the great info.
