    Nice VW's.
  3. This is cool. Can't wait to get one. Now I can build the black one from the beginning of the movie Hot Rod. Still need to find someone to do the decals for the 69 Cutlass in the movie.
  4. I never cared for these myself. But I also never realized how popular they are. When ever I think of these I think about Kent's car in Real Genious.
  5. Wow, that is so cool. I never knew they made one.
  6. I buy solely on the subject matter. I do love the older box art ( 60's - early 70's AMT and JoHan) but never eally liked the built up model box art. Still, that did'nt stop me from buying the kit.
  7. Nice work.
  8. Nice.
  9. That block and heads, thats nothing a little sanding can't fix. I've saved worse.
  10. Very nice.
  11. I like it.
  12. I say leave it as is and show it off.
  13. Dave. Thank you for the insight on getting a subject made. I'm looking forward to the F-100. This goes out to any and all the model manufactures. China ? Weeks of waiting ? Rising costs. I can't help but to think of the time and effort in comunication that could be saved by having it done here in the USA. There are plenty of capable people here in the US that can do the same job. Possibly even better. There are still alot of proud Americans out there that are willing to work and do not expect to make 15 bucks an hour flipping burgers. Americans usually know the subjects and can get measurements, pics and details faster then China. Sorry, but as the consumer whom all those costs are passed onto, I expect correct body lines and details for my 25 bucks plus. I don't give a rats patuty about all the costs and hold ups. That is the manufactures problems. Not the consumers. The manufacturers should make better choices where they send their work to. In this day and age it is nothing more then excuses. This is a hobby and there are many more things out there that I can spend the money on, then inaccurte kits. I am a builder and I expect to fix, repair or change things but not when it comes to the most important things people see, like body lins, grills etc.
  14. Thanks guys. Ken's build is awesome. Wish there was some building pics and tips for how he did it. I dug thru my parts stash and found a second body along with some type of phaeton body and fenders. Not sure what it is or from but it's a start.
  15. Thanks for the info guys. Now the search for extra parts will begin. I've already started do research and some assembly on the chassis. Anybody else with some helpfull hints or suggestions are welcome.
  16. Anyone tried to turn it into a stock, original phaeten ? I guess thats what you could call it. Any way, I searched the forum and found some nice stuff but nothing on returning it stock. It's gonna take some fab work for sure. Any suggestions on what body I can use for the sides ? I was thinking using a second body maybe. Is the frame from the Jolly Rodger longer ? I need the fenders from it. Thoughts, suggestions and ideas are welcome and appreciated. Thanks.
  17. And it sold. Looks like the seller is a member here, Rob. On another note. I was able to find a little more info here once I spelled it correctly. Futurliner. DUH. LOL.
  18. Turned out real nice. Congrats.
  19. That is stunning. Nice work.
  20. I saw B/J is gonna have Ron Pratts collection up for sale. It'll be interesting to see what that goes for. I'll have to look for that on ebay. A little rich for my blood but I gotta look.
  21. Nice save. Looks great.
  22. Very nice. Very nice.
  23. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread. As I get older I've learned to appreciate some of the older cars better but have also gotten very tired of the usual cookie cutter cars. Can't wait to see this one done.
  24. Thanks for the pics. Thats the one on bichin' rides. They did a great job of restoring it.
