  1. .........That is THE one, Jesse, and thank you as always for coming to the rescue...lol.......thanks my friend, ......the Ace.....
  2. Sorry, guys, can't post a photo,,,,but just got a mint in box MPC 75 DUSTER annual bagged and truly mint.....happy, happy....the Ace...
  3. Boy, those two look super tough sitting together.......nice work there, Rusty............best, the Ace.....
  4. ...........Always AMT .....best then, best now............the Ace....
  5. .....You say your not a good builder....c'mon Rusty, that's a very extensive project your undertaking at present, and I can tell you so far it looks killer. Your color choice is great, wheel / tire combo is nice, and the interior will look boss once finished. We are dying to see you finish this piece so all of the members can enjoy along with you......thanks for sharing, regards, the Ace.....
  6. ........Thank you, Doug.....even though I have 53 Fords and Cobras, I just gotta have that set...lol.....as for the Petty deal I'll leave my share on the shelve's for the other guy's ....the Ace..
  7. Does anyone know when they are releasing this set.....I also checked the Round2 site and it lists a stock number and such, but no photo....thanks in advance...the Ace....
  8. The 68 Shelby team set has the larger, tandem trailer , where the Gran Prix Cobra and pickup set has the early single axle trailer like in some the early issue AMT Corvette kits, and in the Fireball 500 kit. The smaller trailer is very retro and basic in design, but many racers used trailers similar in the era.....hope this helps...the Ace....
  9. ....I do as well, and I hope when they release it it's just packed with lots of goodies, making it more sellable and exciting with maybe a card board back drop display, killer decal sheet, loads of tire's, and even other new ideas that would make it quite special.....regardless, owning one upon its release is mandated for me.....the Ace...
  10. Yep, most of us would, however the Nova wagon is the problem....to restore it to it's stock form would be expensive for Round2, and its doubtful they would cough up to retool and start again making a completely new piece .....I've often thought this set could have the Nova wagon substituted using say, the 65 Chevelle wagon, or the 65 El Camino with the camper.....say with similar art work on the box, and I think this set could still be quite new and exciting again.....the Ace...
  11. ....if memory serves, that Cobra set was out late in 1969 and around for but a year or so.....oh, and Michael....the 65 Falcon A/FX combo had the 64 Galaxie Craftsman as the tow car in the set...and I'll betcha we see that set again, and the 68 Shelby/ 69 Galaxie too....I think this Cobra/ 53 Ford p/u combo on deck will be the test pilot to see if bringing back the other race team sets is financially viable for them, as they will be pricey and if the Cobra combo sells well then all of us are surely to keep getting the releases we so much would like to see. However, keep in mind that just a couple years back they reissued the 53 Ford p/u in its original format, and the Cobra a year or so earlier, and both kit's as we know have been out many times, so I'm not certain that this one will fly off the shelves at retail prices....lets hope so...the Ace...
  12. ......Not one for me,,, but I would bet it will be a very nice, updated release. Enjoy this one boy's, you can have my share of 'em...lol......the Ace...
  13. Forget the diecast cars as reference here...they are rarely close to correct....use the actual photos of the car here, and if you look carefully the bar was just a regular single piece, with 2 rear supports.....most bar's in pro cars in the first couple of years were basic, like in a S/S or M/P car....the Ace...
  14. ........I have sent and received several lately, with no problem at all.........the Ace....
  15. .......Very, very nice piece, Gene....looks like your back big time, and that's great to see.....all the best, the Ace....
  16. .......Your thread here is a very real and problematic subject.....I myself find that certain job's and step's in building kit's cause's me certain discomforts most of the time. My eye's get sore from sanding, doing various plastic work, paint's, cement....you name it. I can say that even when I was a lot younger that building plastic did at time's irritate my nose, eye's, whatever...but when the aging factor is throw into the mix ,I even now find sitting for long period's play's havoc with my back, leg's, hand's, eye's....on and on....my excuse for completing or not completing a build now is totally determined on most of the factor's mentioned above....I still have the love and interest in all of it, just like thru the past 50 year's, however I find it a chore now, not the fun it once was......the Ace...
  17. ....Great report, Alan....and thanks....the Ace...
  18. ....' I'll tell ya' I you want, what I really really want '..........lol..........the Ace...
  19. .....the latest issue of the MPC/ROUND2 60 Corvette has a driver, but he is a little undernourished in my opinion....lol,,,quite small but nice, also, the MPC Gangbuster series 1928 Lincoln includes very nice gangster figures loaded with weapons and other 30s era bad guy goodies.....this kit is common and usually cheap if you shop online......hope these help, oh, and as another member here mentioned the MPC 75 Dart has 2 very interesting dude's included.......the Ace....
  20. .....color on this car looks great....best, the Ace...
  21. .........they are THE BEST of all of them......end of story....the Ace...
  22. Jeff, that's one outstanding build....I love it........gorgeous all the way, and thank you for sharing....best, the Ace....
  23. .......thanks for sharing, Alan.....love the super/ stock 64 Belvedere and the ' stocker' Olds, Cuda, and Torino.....best, the Ace...
  24. AC Norton

    65 Comet

.......sweet as sugar....and I mean sweet.....gorgeous, the Ace......
  25. ....I had the older issues, and no, they had a generic looking wheel....I found that the Revell excuses for wheel's in any of their S-M GTX, Chargers, Shahan's, etc are weak in general. One of the nicest Keystone set's for you is in the latest AMT 40 Ford coupe or delivery. They will fit the bill nicely for you, and are plentiful everywhere.....hope this help's....the Ace....
