See the attached photos, this is a very clean print. I have an extra engine I printed out. I got the files from Motabas Yen on Cults 3D. This is 1/24 scale, and is too big for most of the 1/25 kits, so please keep that in mind. This is a complete engine, including blower, Strombergs, Etc. It also includes the transmission set, which is the gearbox, shifter, clutch lever and yoke, and 2 versions of the actual clutch. Also there is an optional crab distributor setup, and 2 separate sets of headers. There are also a bunch of miscellaneous parts you can use to get a feel for it. Also, there is a nearly complete, already assembled engine that you can use for fitment and mockups. This is printed with Elegoo Standard 8k Resin, so it is a bit brittle, but I have assembled 2 of these so far for test fitting 1. Complete unassembled engine & gearbox + 2 sets headers + crab dist. setup 2. Nearly complete, assembled engine for mockups 3. Bunch of misc. extras to practice with I am not a vendor, I don't sell 3d printed stuff, this was just an extra that I won't likely use anytime soon. With that being said, I am looking for all the clear parts, including windows, headlights and taillights for the Revell '66 Shelby GT350 Kit in the picture. I may be open to other trades, but this is the particular item I am looking for. If you want to trade for the whole kit, I'd take that too.

Tamiya Nissan 300ZX With 3D Printed Widebody Kit & Engine
Quick GMC replied to Quick GMC's topic in Model Cars
Thanks guys, appreciate it. I am pretty happy with this one -
I don't finish kits very often, but I just wrapped this one up. My first completed build with 3D printed parts. Body kit from P24 on Cults3D, but can also be purchased printed out from Texas 3D Customs Engine printed out from Slowly's Models on Cults3D Front tube frame printed out from Nineteen 3D on Cults3D Other miscellaneous interior bits 3D printed Eduard photoetched seat harness Verte Artemis Lamborghini color from Splash paints This was a lot of work, my most complex build so far, which isn't saying much. Lot's of mistakes and I have a lot to learn, but I learned a lot on this one and hope to get better. Painting and clear coating is my weak link. It took a lot to get it to this point, and I tried to not highlight mistakes in the pics. Completed over the course of 7 weeks

0 chance of that, they would have been taken down very quickly. The fact that the Feds said "don't worry about it" confirms they belong to the govt. No way they would let people fly drones around like that

Please update when you do. He is on my follow list and I haven't had a need to grab one of his files yet, but it is inevitable, looks like good stuff.

I did this one for an online contest and was barely able to finish in time. I should have started a WIP, but here we are. Pics aren't the best. Moebius 1970 Ford F100. Everything is from the kit except the engine, which is the Cross Boss from the old BOSS 302 kit. This is my first time doing rust and weathering like this. I did the salt method. I enjoyed the kit for the most part, other than a ton of flash and sanding, etc. Not terrible, just lots of busy work to clean it up.

Started this over 5 years ago. Had a kid, sold my business, moved from the West Coast to the East Coast, whole bunch of stuff. Finally got my bench set up a few months ago after not touching anything for about 4-5 years. Additions: Model Factory Hiro adhesive leather for the seat, Z-Force Modelworx 3D printed wheels & tires, and spark plug wires.

Hands down. Exactly 3 were made, 2 are left, if I remember correctly. -

I am moving from Southern California where it is 120 in the Summer and 0% humidity most of the year, to North Carolina, where it rains all the time and 100% humidity isn't abnormal. What kind of adjustments will I need to make for spray painting, airbrushing, etc.? I have experienced a lot of issues with paint drying too fast, cobwebbing, etc. Hoping that this will change with the new climate. Just looking for some tips and info

AMT kits suck!
Quick GMC replied to Plumcrazy Preston's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I stay away from AMT. I know they have good kits, but in my limited experience, I have had nothing but trouble. With that being said, this complaint just comes off as angsty and whiny. Revell, Monogram, even Tamiya have some goofy kits out there. One of the kits I consider terrible has been built and displayed by dozens of members here and they look incredible. It just made me realize I need to slow down my approach and take certain things into consideration where I may not have to do that with other kits. Chill, do some research, ask questions, and understand, like many have previously stated, that a lot of these kits are OLD tooling that were made before certain technology allowed for the detail and features we see in new kits. -
Ken Block is an incredible driver, like a surgeon. Calm and collected. Travis Pastrana is a lunatic. Balls to the wall. The "yikes" look on his face throws you off, he's definitely in his comfort zone. Dude jumped out of an airplane with no parachute and broke the Pike's Peak record.

My HLJ order true cost
Quick GMC replied to Bill Eh?'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Once you get past 18 inches or so, the post office is no longer cost effective. UPS would be half that cost at that size. Also, if you don't have a shipping account with anyone, you're going to pay premium. I am shipping some Aluminum rails today. 7.5 feet long, 30 lbs, $26 with UPS Ground. 14x14x14 box that weighs 40lbs, $100+ with USPS, $36 with UPS. Just depends on the size and the weight. But for small stuff, like 8x8x8, UPS is $90+ for next day air, where the post office is like $30. -
My HLJ order true cost
Quick GMC replied to Bill Eh?'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Shipping costs are up around the world. Not a huge cost for someone to deliver your hobby materials all the way from Japan. -
I built this kit several years ago. Halfway through I had a major problem. I bought another kit and ended up finishing it. My only 100% completed model ever, while I have at least 2 dozen started. a couple years ago, it got knocked off a shelf. It was in a plastic display, which I think added to the damage. a bunch of little stuff broke off. I bought a 3rd kit, but haven't started it. Someday I will build it again, it's my nemesis. I don't usually care for yellow, but it looks incredible on this car. Your build is going well, looking forward to seeing it completed.

I'm pretty sure he works for, or is the owner of Alpha Models. He's been spamming multiple forums promoting the kits. When people complained, he started posting build pics, which I'm fine with. Not that it matters. Typically, the only place to see a lot of these high end models built is on Facebook and Instagram, and a lot of forum members don't participate on social media. He is also crediting the builder. Edit: I realize this isn't an Alpha Model, but the transkit from Hobby design, as well as the resin figure. Hobby Design and Alpha Models are owned by the same person.

I am surprised nobody has posted the 356 RSR yet. Built by Rod Emery, a friend of mine helped with the assembly and painted the car. He also paints cars for Rod Emery regularly. He has a shop out here by me.
