  1. It's bad on the shelf nearly every time I see it. The one time I ordered it on line, it showed up hard. Not worth my time to bother with it again
  2. This whole situation sucks. It could have been handles much better than it was, but at the same time, owning my own ecommerce business, I completely empathize with being buried and not having competent help. When he gets caught up and gets a better system going, I will absolutely continue buying Gravity Colors.
  3. I get that some people are just slow talkers, but good god that was painful.
  4. I copied some ideas from Randy Ditton, I even ordered the same fittings from the Train store. I realize how much work he put into his details and I won't be getting that crazy, but some extra detail that will be seen when the model is finished will be nice. I started with these cooler lines that go up and over the back of the tranny and into the R/H cooler. I have to add hose clamps now, which have always been a nightmare for me.
  5. Just the Tamiya white filler putty in the tube. The sanding sticks are from several places. Some are Flexi File which I really do not care for. They sand fine, but fall apart. My favorites, I think I used to get from Hobby Linc: https://www.hobbylinc.com/cgi-bin/pic.cgi?t=pics_user_gallery&item_i=79381&pic_user_i=124612&pic_pic_i=12185 And my other favorite are the fat oners with one side with 2 rough grits and the other side with 2 polishing grits. They come as a gift from Scale Hardware, but I haven't bought from them since they changed hands, so not sure if they still offer them
  6. Lee, here is the full set. I just bought the shocks, filler cap set and LED brake light sets http://acustion.net/shop/each-products/act-0027kits-1-24-fxx-k-full-transformer-set.-1-24-fxx-k/?sl=en I'm still building. I started other projects in between, like the F430 Challenge and R34 GTR, but about the same progress on both. New baby and owning my own business doesn't allow for much build time. All the body pieces are ready for paint and I have a bunch of other pieces in primer, so next progress should be significant
  7. Acu Stion fuel filler set. Still not 100% clear how it goes together, no instructions, but I think I got it. Shown next to the kit piece
  8. Lots of filling and sanding on the body parts. Lot's of pieces to glue together to make the single panels. Not everything needed to be filled as it all won't be seen when done, but I took the opportunity to practice. the last 4 pics show where i taped up the door panels to the door skins so I could fit the 3rd piece, the end of the door, which is the same color as the body. Then I removed the door panel so it could be painted separately. Finally ready for primer
  9. Not sure if I will keep these the way they are, not happy with the hubs. Centered the discs on some putty on a dremel and spun them with some coarse sanding sticks. Then did a black wash, then buffed the rotor faces with a rigid swab. Then did a light coat of Alclad Smoke, enough to get color, but little enough to leave the metallic rotor finish
  10. Acu-Stion shock set. It's a shame they won't really be seen when this is done, but I couldn't help myself. Had to chop the tops of the kit shocks off and migrate them to the new ones.
  11. both his personal page and Gravity Paints USA are deactivated or deleted from FB. I know they were up a day or two ago
  12. so this appears to be created and run by a member here, Samuel S. Maybe he can answer some questions http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/profile/18747-samuel-s/
  13. They launched their website https://www.splash-paints.com/
  14. I came across a company on Instagram called Splash Paints, LLC. Their name on Instagram is Splashpaints. There is no website or Google presence that I know, but their release date is scheduled for today. No idea who is running it or where they are located, all I know is from their Instagram posts. Just a heads up for some of you that have had trouble with other vendors.
  15. Also got this the other day, right after I heard SMS was closing up. Been watching this for a while too and didn't want to miss out Enzo FXX Super Detail Kit with full carbon fiber template
  16. yes that one. Worth the money. It has brass PE for the rear suspension framing. Really cool stuff
  17. I was so excited to get this kit with the hobby design kit, then looked at all the parts and I realized I wasn't quite ready for it. Your build is looking incredible
  18. This is looking really good. I have this kit with the Model Factory Hiro upgrade kit and some other stuff, but not sure when I'll get around to it.
  19. Won't build it for a while, been watching it on Ebay for a year, but I wanted to pull the trigger before they disappear for good
  20. I'm in the middle of this build as well. Looking good!
  21. I might have a bottle of Washington Blue from Scale Finishes I won't use. I'll check when I get home. I bought 2 bottles and used it on this Ford Custom over gray primer. Not the best pics. I got dust in mine and had to strip it, but this is how the Scale Finishes lays down, no clear coat. It's an enamel
  22. I have the HRM engine kit for the GT40, but I have a feeling this will be significantly better.
  23. I purchased one of the 1/8th engines and I would definitely be interested in a couple of these
