I apologize for the poor photos. i am watching our newborn and I can't have too many lights on or I will get yelled at. I have had this kit for a couple of years and I have been waiting until my skills get better to build it. I want it to be perfect. I recent found a nice PE set for it from Hobby Design, so I had to buy it. The Fujimi kit comes with the standard kit, plus some white metal pieces and some photo etch pieces. It also comes with some really nice brass turned snap fittings and turned aluminum headlight bezels. The kit also has an open trunk I did not include the sprues because I already tore into this thing. All of this comes in the kit- Roll, bar, headlight bezels, windshield frame, steering wheel, pedals, gas cap, door and trunk handles, exhaust pipes and a few other goodies. The fittings for the front bumper The snaps This is the PE that comes in the kit

Laser vs injet Printers recommendations
Quick GMC replied to Bowtienutz's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
do you have any advice to go along with that? -
I have abandoned uploading images to websites. Everyone has a different standard. I use Imgur, it uploads my photos and resizes them to whatever I choose, which is usually set for a 17" monitor. i have never had a mod complain anywhere. Site uploads always take forever. Imgur.com has the fastest resizing I have ever used and it does ALL the photos as they are being uploaded. It's too easy.

I was just giving you a hard time for adding an extra i in the name

I have this same kit I got on consignment. The body is painted, but I'll be stripping it. Can't wait to see yours finished

I don't know. I want to put a 6.0 in my truck, it came with a 5.3. I can't even do that now. I have no idea how these guys get these things on the road.

I'm pretty much over the whoe rat rod thing, but this is pretty cool. Looks like it's solid as a tank

Not only is this the most insane Model A I have ever seen, the guy is the nicest person I have ever seen on Youtube.

Check this thing out.

I am going to start using it. I have been browsing and I realize you can create your own "boards" and make your own collection of photos. I will be using this for reference photos for builds. All of them will be in the same place and I can access from my phone, tablet or computer. Seems like it will work out nicely. Don't find the photos you want on there? Add them

You are clearly missing the entire point. It's not about the quality. it's not about bullying (which is an absurd claim), it's about how he presented himself and his model to unsuspecting buyers. Most people won't pick out the details we can see as builders, until they get it in their hand. If anything is moot, it's your ridiculous perspective on what is going on here, focusing on every insignificant point. If you think this is bullying, you have not entered what we down here like to call "life" calling someone out on their deliberate, misleading BS is far from bullying.

I've never used it or considered using it, but I might now if there is stuff like this on there.

I don't see anyone here bragging about being a pro and how awesome they are with all their experience. I've never put down anyone's builds, but when you start promoting how awesome you are, it'd better be decent. If it didn't have all that ridiculous self promotion, i never would have looked twice. But you're right. The guy's not here to defend himself. Now I almost feel bad.

No, they are poor attempts. You can clearly tell he sanded the seams on the hood scoop, however he must have been blindfolded when doing it. Everything is half-assed. A member on here learning to better themselves would not leave blue plastic exposed after scraping away chrome. The guy claiming his experience and pro built and all that stuff makes it open season.
-
This guy's 45 years of experience gaurantees your satisfaction. Just at a glance: •The bumpers don't fit well •you can see the blue plastic on the chrome parts where it was poorly prepped and not touched up • The seams are horribly visible on the hood scoop •No foil •sloppy prep and paint on the trim •the wipers aren't foiled or painted •pieces of sprue still attached to the valve covers •the rear glass is crooked •the emblems aren't painted. I'm not a great model builder and I don't normally pick apart people's work, but when you're presenting something as professionaly built, it shouldn't be a giant pile of BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BILL-GRUMPY-JENKINS-1966-NOVA-SUPER-STOCK-GRUMPYS-TOY-1-24-PRO-BUILT-MODEL-/201020205158?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item2ecdbce866

Some really Sweet turbos from Shucky
Quick GMC replied to envious8420's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Hobby design makes some nice looking turbos too. I haven't bought any, but you can see the impeller and everything in the pictures. They look like 2 piece. what else does Shucky make? is there a catalog or webstore? -
I think Harry clarified why this wouldn't happen yesterday.

Is our hobby, growing or skrinking?
Quick GMC replied to Chris White's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
A friend of mine ordered a model after seeing my hobby room. He abandoned it about half way through due to a lack of patience. I can see him picking it up later in life, he's only 25 right now. His brother was just released from jail and he is building a 1/12 Testarossa I gave him. I hope he enjoys it. i don't know anyone around here that builds. Even the guys at the hobby shop don't know anyone. They stock a reasonable amount of models, but most on consignment, which isn't a good sign. -
How about one conglomerate category for "racing"? Anything purpose built for racing. To keep it easy for the mods. How about one conglomerate category for "racing"? Anything purpose built for racing. To keep it easy for the mods.

I am not as familiar with the aftermarket dealing with American drag cars as I am European race cars. I know about Detail Master, Model Car Garage and Pro Tech, but I am not familiar with all the parts and terminology. I am going to start building the Tony Foti Camaro and want to do it as detailed as possible. I'm looking for photo etch pieces for the engine, brakes, suspension parts, etc. I already have Dzus fasteners and a seat harness.
