  1. I'm not a computer enthusiast, but a good friend is. I recently had him build me a desktop and coincidentally my laptop dumped it's hard drive aroun the same time. The desktop and laptop both got SSD's. I just wanted to give the guys a heads up that aren't familiar with these. Holy mother of speed. The computers will restart in about 17 seconds. You can get 500gb and 1tb, but they are more expensive. I am using a 128gb in my destop just for startup and key programs and a 250gb in my laptop. I use a lot of heavy programs like Adobe and Autodesk programs and it helps tremendously with bootup. Also data transfer is lightning fast. just putting it out there for you guys that are looking for more speed in that department. I got my Samsung 250GB SSD for about $150 and it took 10 minutes to install.
  2. well I have something to say about all this http://youtu.be/iplfWUtKMzI?t=1m39s
  3. everything just seems to fall in your lap
  4. The Russian dashcams are due to the rampant insurance fraud. Pedestrians throw themselves at cars. You can find videos of people diving on car hoods, etc. I'm not sure how you decided that the majority of Russians are alcoholics. That's like saying the majority of Americans in the South are inbred retards.
  5. Very nice. The darker wheels really set it off.
  6. I just put a new hard drive in my ap top last night. 11 months and the laptop crashed.
  7. The only model I have ever finished 100%, the 67 Chevelle. Really nice paint job, even put the mirrors and hood on. I was installing a shlf above my new bench. Of course I dropped it, it sandwiched the model and a bunch of parts exploded out of it. The paint is okay, but the wheels, shocks, engine parts etc. went flying. It's in a box. I tihink I'd rather start over with a fresh kit than fix this one.
  8. He's having way too muh fun to care about us anymore.
  9. Yeah, headers have been a problem for me lately. So basically build everything, then build the cage.
  10. Thanks guys. I may wait a bit on this one.
  11. I see a lot of guys building tubular frames from scratch, sections, etc. Is there a template or plans that are followed or do you guys basically just figure it out as you go. I wanted to try it, but I was hoping there was something to follow. I don't have any knowledge of roll cages and frames like this so I wouldn't even know where to start. I'm thinking of doing something like this for my 65 Chevy Pickup and future cars. Maybe a Boss 429 or something.
  12. I am usually uploading 100mb or more at a time and it always times out or misses several or something. My upload speed is 30mb/s with what I have. For a few pictures at a time it's fine. Maybe it's just me. I haven;t had any issues since I left PB.
  13. I ditched Photobucket years ago. IMO it is one of the worst photo sharing sites out there. It takes forever to load photos. I use Imgur now. Very simplified, no BS. You can upload a quickie and share it without logging in and adding it to your album or photos. It will float around in the Imgur cloud, forever lost, unless you save the URL. Or you can have albums and all that neat stuff. You can set the picture size so as it uploads it automatically re-sizes the photos. Lats time I was on PB they didn't have that, not sure now.
  14. I really used to stick with Strada Sports, but a year or two ago the cimmunication started going downhill and it took months to get parts. A real shame, I lilked that place. They're still in business, but I have a bad taste in my mouth at this point. For the detail sets, race car stuff and the harder to find parts, Media Mix Hobby in Singapore is fantastic. Cheap shipping, great prices, and it gets to you fast. They are my go to, they always have everything in stock.
  15. It works better than you might think. All the hot piping is under the car. Reduces underhood temps by hundreds of degrees. They work pretty well.
  16. It's not that big of a deal, I don't understand why OP tried to make a huge thing about it. respiratory protection isn't that expensive. If you're that sensitive to the 2k, you should be wearing protection for everything else anyway.
  17. I don't feel like it But thanks for the heads up
  18. I use Scale Hardware. Mostly for larger scale stuff but sometimes for these.
  19. I appreciate the comments. I finally got the photos the way I want them. I had to get a smaller photo tent, the 30" one I had was too big for the lights I have. This one seems to be just right.
  20. The chassis and underside of the body are now assembled with the engine and everything else. The ride height is final. Wheels are from the 67 GTX kit. I have the interior almost done. I'll post it when I get the final details finished.
  21. Revell's newer kit. Body color will be Ford Washington Blue, a very dark blue. I added a turned brass bolt for the oil pan bolt.
  22. Meh, not a fan of any of those combos, but out of the 3 I would opt for the glass roof. Pull the trigger and don't look back.
  23. http://www.motostash.com/node/344 check out the interior at the end of this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5Td-b7jbU0
