  1. They could pass for a Motor Trend picture "stand off" for the new for next year bit. LOVE IT!
  2. Thank you for the pictures Casey.
  3. I did the same thing. First ever big commercial truck I have ever bought.
  4. I had two '79 Town Cars in the late '90s to early '00s, you nailed it!
  5. One of the best examples I have ever seen of this series. I wish I could get the Thunderbird they made. I would make my very first car, '78 Diamond Jubilee Edition in that blue/silver color.
  6. Beautiful!
  7. Imagine how HS was for me...................anytime I walked into a room or played golf with my dad.
  8. HA HA HA HA! Not at all. Saw one day this form had been shut down, thought it was dead and then life got really busy. But I will never stop building, just slowed down at times (like now).
  9. Looks like a nice kit. Been thinking about adding one of these to my growing fleet of Fords "biggies.
  10. I was born in 1979. I have already owned the two I like from that year: Triple black Lincoln Town Car and a Volvo 245 DL wagon.
  11. I have bought a few parts and a few cars here and there from The Modelhaus. Always liked their service quality and products. I am a Volvo/Mercedes tech and my standards are pretty high for most things in my life. So I sold off a ton of kits I will never build and dropped about $650 on kits and parts from them, never seeing pictures up close and personal. As always, I was not disappointed. I had ONE flaw in the chrome work but that was easily rectified by Don. Both Don and Carol are a God send to this hobby and have set the bar for products and services. Would I drop that kinda money again for their products? In a heart beat.........now if they come out with a '73-'78 LTD Country Squire, '75-'79 Lincoln Town Car or coupe, Buick Century from '73-'77...........we can all dream, right?
  12. Very nice build! Glad to see factory stock on one of these.
  13. Man that looks sharp!
  14. I screwed up a few decals on one of their kits. Called up the 800 number, I was sent a few sheets. That was almost 20 years ago. Good to hear they are still at that level of paying attention to the customer, wish more companies would be that attentive now of days.
  15. I remember putting together one of these years ago, goes together pretty nice.
  16. Looks awesome man! Love the back round story to the car to, really adds depth to it. Welcome to the life long addiction to plastic!
  17. It is crazy how some of this stuff goes off the scales in price. I think I will dive into cutting my "Vantacy" reissued kit and go from there.
  18. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! I LOVE that rig. I had a '92 F-250 with the 460, XLT Lariet, extended cab, 8 foot box, trailer tow package. Man how I miss that truck.
  19. This is what I want to build. I remember these, the Fords, also Chevy and Ford wagons a lot in the '80s before the imports took over like crazy.
  20. My first car, '78 Diamond Jubilee. I still have a lot of DJ parts for it.
  21. I had no dark red flocking at 1am many moons ago. But I had black and red flocking from Model Masters, took half and half, poured it into another container and shook like crazy. I'm not 100% happy with it but it will do til I get a better color arrangement ordered from Detail Masters colors.
  22. Indeed red is hard to capture correctly. It is the same auto dye I have been using for my dark red interior cars, cap says burgundy but it really turns out dark red (just the shade I like).
  23. Lookin real good man!
