All Super/CA Glues will fog a clear plastic, as they all exspell a fog when drying.... The only real way to break a Super/CA Glue bond, would be to use a Finger Nail Polish remover to the joints... The Down side to the Polish Remover, would be that it would also remove any of your paint in that area, or where it comes in contact with.... Personally I would do like a Dark or Smoke type tint to the Headlight covers, after you have masked off the surrounding surfaces.... That way you will get a nice contrast that hides the inside fogging, and it will also look like the popular Smoked/Tinted Lights on todays cars(Also shoot a lighter smoke/tint on the tails, for a Blacked Out effect!!).... Just be sure youre ready when you get pulled over, if you go too dark

MINIDREAMS 62 FALCON TWISTED OUT PROMO !

Amazing little Build as always David, so what's planned for the Falcon wagon, and the Unibody pickup in the backgrounds -
Why do I say good for her for what she did, cause she did exactly what many a driver has done over the years, after some idiot pulled a stupid stunt..... I know alot of the Male Drivers/Owners are jerks to her, cause she is a female trying to compete in a male dominated sport.... So she was supposed to be a Good Little Girl and Put up with that idiot move, why cause if she was a Guy, then the playing field was even, and the other driver could fight back..... Who's to say that she would have even gone beyond pushing the guy around, or yelling at him??? Who's to say that if the roles were reversed, that he wouldn't have done the same to her??? I say Good for her for atleast making the walk, which no doubt put the idiot on his toes, and maybe help to get him to drive like he is supposed to(if not, maybe a Team Mate of hers would make the walk next time, and give him an adjustment for his learning curve) .... Do I agree with violence being a solution, no but when you and others are doing 200+ Mph's with your Heads Sticking up, it's an understandable reaction.... When Driving at the speeds, one had better quickly knock off the kiddy stunts, or you can easily Seriously Injure/Kill Someone(Heck even being a Fan in the Stands becomes more Dangerous with an Idiot on the field)....

we may be saying goodbye to Mercury
Dragon7665 replied to gasman's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yep they were able Laugh All the way to the bank when it came to changing a little sheet-metal here and there, then rebadging, but as always with Greed, they got Lazy.... It just got to be to easy for the General Public to identify what was the same as what, and then they started losing buyers... When it became apparent that sales were suffering due to their choices, they instead listen to their Bean Counters, and Drove even more Customers away..... Yes sad to say, but My Generation was the First, and Every Generation since has gotten progressively pickier..... Heck I Grew Up reading Auto Mags, along with Factory Shop Manuals, and I was able to point out Platform/Part Sibilings at a young age..... Take for Example the Last Cougar that Art pointed out as being geared towards women, it was actually a Rebodied Mitsu Eclipse(Ford and Mitsu partnered up, after Chrysler dropped their Mitsu ties by dropping their Eagle Lines) , that was passed off as an American Sports Car(Just like what Ford has done for years, with Rebadged/ReSheet Metaled Mazda's)..... My Generation and those that have followed, easily figured out alot of the changes, and also found out that the Original Versions were actually alot more fun/generally better cheaper deals.... -

Hmmm Chrysler's out of your Loop since they want/have Fuel Efficient Sports Sedan(Sedans/SUV's/Etc), but new CAFE Standards are pushing them down the throat of every manufacturer..... The other problem with your BIG3 list, is that GM is the Original Innovator, who in recent years perfected their Original Concept, with the Help of Daimler-Chrysler/Toyota/and Honda..... Ofcourse Ford/VW/Audi/ and Porsche all have/ will have their own variation on DOD(Displacement On Demand, which is the Term GM up with in the 70's, and Cadillac used in the 80's)... Try Googling VDE's(Variable Displacement Engines) or Displacement On Demand, and you'll find a list of Various Manufacturer/Press Articles on the subject.... Here is Ford Media's Hybrid & VDE Release... http://media.ford.com/article_display.cfm?article_id=6445 Now as for the new Fuel Efficient Sports Cars/Sedans/Trucks, don't worry too much, cause CAFE Standards are becoming even tighter to keep them from happening for much longer...... The New Camaros/Challengers/Mustangs/Etc slid into the Lime Light, and CAFE is slamming the door behind them(The reason why GM won't be releasing another RWD High Horse Impala SS anytime soon) -
Doesn't this just.....

Racing is Just too boring nowadays, and I change the channel as fast as I can, when I can(Unless it is F1 or Aussie V8 Supercars).... A few months before Dale Sr's last race, was about the time I gave up on "___Car"(Funny other letters seem more appropriate in there ), I just lost too much interest in them, when they became Cookie Cutters... Used to be a Fan of Baja/WRC/ Paris-Dakar, but even they have gotten away from what they were.... -
Let's see, here in the States that would be a 1980's Mazda 323 Sedan, with a Ford badge added(Kin to our Ford Escort Sedan/Hatches), but over in Europe it was refered to as a Ford Tonic and a Sao Penza, and in Asia-Pacific & South Africa it was called a Ford Laser Sedan  Sorry for the draw out, Mazda Ford's are fun!

I like Harry's Design, and would buy one over a Mustang in a Flash..... The Sad reality is, Mercury's Sales have been at a Steady Decline for years, and the only thing that was Keeping it afloat was the Grand Marques.... The Panther Platform has already recieved the Axe, with the '09's Crown Vickies,Lincoln Town Cars, and Grand Marques being only available to Fleet Lease/Law Enforcement Agencies/Town Car Services/Etc... After '10, none of those will be available, and it doesn't look like FORD is running to make anything similar available to the General Population.... Hmph Hard to Believe that only two years after Dyno's Passing, would it soon be the end of the Other Great Racing Icon pictured below..... They will definately live on during their Glory Days, in my Memories atleast -
Meh I just did a Google Image Search for a Sciro, and the Best Pic happened to be that one As for the new one not coming here, yeah VW is basically saying that it wouldn't be cost effective for them to ship them over from their Spain Plant... Yet they know that they have rediculous amounts of pre-order requests for them, and their New Eos Hardtop Convertibles that are built at the same plant are selling like Hotcakes!! What I mean by them not coming to the States within the next ten years, is that VW has been scoping out locations here in the States to build a new plant, which might actually give them a better standing to affordably offer more of their models here... Also there is a pretty good chance that some of the new Sciro's will make it to Canada, or othering Neighboring Countries, which would mean some will more than likely find their ways here(I know quite a few Euro/South America only Cars/Trucks that have made it here from Canada and Mexico)

First Gen VW Scirocco Really would Love to get my Paws on the New Sciro, but it doesn't look like it's ever going to hit the States within 10yrs...

Dragon7665 replied to evilone's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes would have been nice, but there isn't going to be another Firebird/Trans Am.... Bob Lutz has said for along time, that even though the Camaro is coming back, that doesn't mean Pontiac will be getting the Firebird/Trans Am.... Sales were low two say the least, and a single named car with Performance Accessories is the likeliest... With having a Trans AM and Firebird, you had to give them different noses and trim, where as a GTO would only need slight changes here and there if they wanted to bring back the Lemans/Tempest names(Probably would be just GTO, with trim packages instead of different names).... -
Ahhhh Another Fantastic Job by Chopper I will Always be a Fan of the Wrong Wheel Driven Gentleman's HotRods B) B)

How's everyones gas prices?
Dragon7665 replied to forthlin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Geez that's about a little over half a tank in my Caprice, and we're at $4.09 for Sup My Trk takes Reg, but it has two 20 Gal tanks, and I still refuse to use anything less than Uni-Cal76/Chevr/Tex/Exxon/Mobil.... Anytime I use Arco/BP/Citgo/Shell/Etc, all I get is crappy Half the mileage from a tank, and knockin & pinging from them blending it :) Guess we can't get too upset at Barrel Prices, I mean Ol' GW's got to pad his retirement fund while he can right(No Politics, just guessing what an Oil Man would do to keep his Security Team compensated after he's out) :P -
Great Looking Deuce Makes me want to breakout mine, but I got alot of mods and a few kits I need to bash with it

Model A Frame, '32 Frame? Need Some Help
Dragon7665 replied to FORDSVTPARTS's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Not entirely true, you can get a V8 between a Model A's frame rails, you would need to replace the Engine & Trans cross-members with that of a Deuce(If not just use the whole thing) to do so... There has been a few write-ups about the process in 1:1 scale mags, with the most recent just on/have left newstands... -
EEK RUN AWAY FAST!!! Those Linksys Units are JUNK, no matter what model, trust me on that one!!!!! A couple of buddies had one through Veriz, and all they did was quickly throw it out with the rest of their Garbage(after Target practice, and a Serious Stompin'!)... Got a new one through Veriz a few years ago with my Wife, and wound up sending it back, wait 6wks for it to be refurbished(was told we were getting a new one ), and even after that time, we still wound up trashing it!!!! If you do go with DSL, go with Belkin or D-link, or a Motorola if you can find one, as they are well worth the money, and your not getting charged $12 a Month during your Contract period(Like Verizon did to us ).... Honestly, for a self induced rate cut for your Cable TV/Internet/Home Phone/Cell/Etc, call your provider, explain to them that their rates are too high, and your looking else wheres.... Most will quickly adjust your rates to your comfort level within reason, to get you to sign another contract(Which locks in your rate for that time period).... If that doesn't work, tell them that you want to discontinue your service as of (A week to a months time), due to the rediculous rate increase(s).... I was told those by a Buddy of Mine who is a for Veriz Cust Support Manager(Now works for Comcast), a few different Comcast Employees(Installers, Service Agents,Etc),Dish Maintainence Techs, and Quest Service Specialists Just want to make sure that your contract has ended/coming to an end soon(within a few months is fine), or if you are on a Month to Month Plan(If not, most Reps are a pain to get them to do this, and you a better off going to a Supervisor Directly!!! Works even better if you have been a regular Customer for a few years!!)....

Oddly enough, add some side-step nerfs,Front & Rear Bull Guards, and a Quad Light Roof mounted bar, and I'd Stompa' that Sucka As for the Vert', All I can say is "Go Go Gadgetmobile Lifters!!!"

If you can't locate a Goodwrench decal, take head on level picture of the front of the car, then take the picture to a Photocopy Shop.. Adjust the size of a color copy machine, till you get the size that works for what you need(Take your front end/plate backing with you to match it up)... Once you have the right size, cut out the plate(and the Jegs decals if you did it right), use spray tack(Found in the Art Section of Micheals/Any well stocked Craft Store) to mount it to the plate backing, and then finish with a shot of Clear Coat over the top.... ***Edit***Okay Nevermind the pics, I found these to make it easier on you Just print these two pics out, then take to the Color Copier, and Follow the above tip from there.... Size should be 1/24th Scale, for all three decals, so ask one of te copy techs about adjusting the machine for the proper sizes(Print both pics seperately, as the size differences will cause you problems getting them to scale on one page)...

What Are 'donks'
Dragon7665 replied to HotRodaSaurus's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Donk refers to the rather Large size of the Rear of the Late 50's to 70's cars, later was used more in reference to the Rear Leg Kickout of the Leaping Impala Badges... Recently it is now being incorrectly used for anything with Rims 20" or Larger, lifted or not.... Why a Lifted Car cause it= Something different, something people notice & talk about(good or bad its attention).... Sure a Lifted truck would be better, but in most areas, lifted truck= Redneck Hillbilly(Dang I'm included to in some instances ) ... Yes they ride like _____(You fill in the Blank), turn even worse,a school bus has a Better Braking Distance,is terrible on the Drivetrain & Powertrain, but who doesn't do something so that they are noticed by others??? Do I like Donks, no not really my thing, but can respect those that have put in the effort to make themselves different.... Personally I like Bigg Wheels, but I prefer to see them Tuckin' like nobody's business, with the frame Huggin' the Ground, as apposed to sky high!! Trucks do look better lifted, but only if they are 4WD, and No higher than 2-4"s(Not including tires, only suspension and body, anything higher just makes it easier to roll over in a turn...) Especially a half ton, otherwise you may as well lift a 2digger, it would be just as effective.... -
Amazing Detail Work Kinda funny, I have always wunder if I am related to the Levi Garrett Clan(My Grandfather doesn't talk about his Southern Roots in detail, except a few here and there....)
