More fabrication on that thing you've seen once before.

LOOKS AMAZING Scott! -
Yep '73-88(1Ton and Above) Pickups were the same, 73-91 Fullsize Blazer's/Jimmy's and Suburbans were also the same running gear wise.... The only real difference, would be that the GMC is 4wd instead of 2wd, but you can actually use a frontend from AMT's kits of the Next Generation Bodystyle (88-98), as GM basically used the same parts on the Fullsize Trucks/SUV's, when they were only the 2wd models(Except in 96/97 GM went from the 5 on 5Lug to 6Lug Wheels Standard on the 2wd Half-Ton Models)....

^^^^^ With Chris, Very Beautiful Car , but got to disagree on the door count! Nothings wrong with a Kustom Mor-Dor Sedan!! -
Great little X you got there A Buddy of mine has/had(Think he may still have it) a '91 that's a pretty durable little bugger for sure! He has always called it his little Throw Away car, and despite how much he has thrashed it, it has still come back wanting more..... At last that I heard about it, he drove it 2yrs needing Half-Shafts up front, and he just replaced them before they actually went out on him.... To me the '91's was the best of the Overall Design, and I have always wanted to build one in full size, but I would never feel comfortable in driving something that size(I used to ride in my Buddy's, but even then I couldn't do it for too long)..... Bill your thinking of the Honda Remix Concept http://www.thetorquereport.com/2007/05/hon...gives_us_a.html That was supposed to be released as the CRX-Hybrid eventually, but Honda recieved so many complaints about the design, and told(So many CRX Fans Wrote alot of complaints... I heard some were even at the Unveiling and Booing in the background, when Honda announced they want it to have the CRX Name ) that it should never wear the CRX Badge, so they have been franticly trying to redesign it so they could......

I hope I did this right.

Fantastic Job with the Cutty It was one of my Favorite of Chips Builds, but I guess it was his Nightmare(The Couple that owned it, harassed him and the shop that rebuilt it to no end, so much so, that TLC & Overhaulin's Producers refused to let the show Re-Air after it the first time it was shown)....

Realistic Job Uelder!!! Looks like an Old Pickup Truck that Triple X RootBeer & Burger Drive-In used to show off during the Local Parades when I was growing up(That was during the Late 70's to Mid/Late 80's)!!!

Thanks for the Info Ed! So far I accidentally found out that my Wife's Pink Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover would get the paint soft enough, that I could easily wash off the left over black residue... I just wasn't sure what would happen when I attempted to soak it.... Back when I was still in Auto Parts Sales, that was when CSC first came out, and I remember trying it to remove paint then.... Both when it was left too long in contact with Rubber(20-45 mins), it would turn into goo, and the first model(a 90's AMT '63 Impala) turned into a Lump of plastic(3 or 4 days later) even though it seem fairly solid the first couple of days.... Heck I remember some of my Auto Parts Customers saying that they spray a Concentrait on their Concrete Garage Floors to remove Grease/Oils Stains, and coming back the next morning, to find it had etched into the Floor

The Zundapp Janus was basically a 4 seater(Two Facing Forward, and Two Facing the rear) Micro Car similiar to the Isetta, and was given a front & rear Isetta style doors... The original VW Beetle...
Dragon7665 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Hilter was the biggest push for the car, he wanted a design that was affordable for the German Public.... When it came down to it, he did have a final say in the over-all design.. The car became Hilter's staff cars when the war broke out, as Ol'Adolf considered himself the next Alexander/Ceasar, so he wanted to proudly have his Officers driving his cars like the Romans/Greeks had their Chariots.... -
Amazing Save so far '62 Just curious, could you share what you used to strip the old paint, and for about how long??? I ask, as I have a Revell '62 Newport that was a part of their Metallic Series(Would love to just Polish and display it bare, but it has deep glue sink marks by the boot area), and I am a little worried that I might melt it in the Purple Stuff....

Great Job Rollin, Looks Amazing Bro!! Especially digging the Graphix and Kolor With that Buick Steering Wheel, it looks like it should be my next Fullsize I have been wanting a Fullsize Cutty Formal for awhile, and I even have a few of those Buick Wheels to go in(Wound up with 6 or 7 of them, and they have done duty in the Majority of my Rides over the years!)

Ha this brings back memories! I used to do this back when I was still in High School!!! Anytime I got a new Car/Truck/Kustom Magazine, there was always new ads for the different Dakota Digital Dashes that were really clear.... What I would do, was take them to the Local Color Copying place, and the Cutie behind the counter would print me up a bunch in 1/24 and 1/25 scale.... Haven't done any more of them, as I got a little carried away, and made them too complicated, then lost interest in them.... Tip, to make them a bit more realistic, use a sheet of transparent film over the top of them.... I would even go as far as using a Red or a Blue transparent, to make them seem more like a real instrument panel.... Btw: One of the easiest and realistic way I have found to mount the radios, instead of making them into a slide decal, is to mount the face to a small piece of thin plastic card stock..... Using a good Artist Spray Tack/Mount, lightly mist the card stock, and place the face to it, that was just quickly cut from the sheet.... After the spray mount has dried, take a sharp #11 Exacto Blade, trim the plastic card to the size of the radio face outside bezel.... From there, just use a dab of your favorite adhesive to mount where you want it on your model interior..... Be Creative with were you mount your new radio, if you are mounting it in a Vintage Ride, as in the real world they are mounted any where(Open the Glove Box, and mount it in there, for a Modern Vintage Sealth install... Add a box to the back of the Card stock, and mount it under the dash, for the look a Resto Builder does, so they don't butcher the vintage dash.... Mount it in the Trunk, for a Kustom/Hot Rod Stealth Show System)!!!
