  1. Bill, the Original Mock Up car(No Engine, just a Roller) that the model is supposed to represent debuted in '63, it was a Gloss Red with a Silver Top like on the box... The Functional '64 Show car was a Candy Burgundy Red(Almost a Brandy Wine Red), with a Silver top.... I also remember my Uncle telling me and showing me pics of the '64 driver, displayed next to the '63 Roller that was repainted white, with the same silver top..... The Cougar II,Cobra, and Mustang Concept I all came about because of Bordinat....... How the cars currently look......
  2. WOW that thing just boggles my mind Somebody built an H1 that actually looks like it would be taken Off-Road Very Nicely Done!!! I'm tired of seeing all of the Local Rich Posers that have any Hummer, and they never actually use them the way they were meant for..... Course Personally, there should have never been a 2,3, or the Up & Coming 3/4 HUMWRANGLER wannabe .......
  3. NP Joe, Sorry it wasn't the news you hoped for..... Are you looking to do an R/C build too, or were you just wanting a 1/24 or 1/25th scale replica??? I have wanted to build some R/C and Scale replicas for quite sometime, and I have always thought the M35's would one of the easier designs to carve out of foam/etc, then cast a copy out of it in resin or fiberglass..... Mainly for an easier time getting all of the details correct, a 1/10th Scale Body would be the best route for detail transitions(Atleast when it comes to my lower end Hobby Scratchbuilding Skills, but decent fullsize Autobody Skills)..... Don't see why you would have any trouble building one yourself Joe, especially since you could use a High-Lift chassis as a R/C basis, or an Italeri Opel Blitz chassis for a scale build......
  4. Joe, The problem with a Military RC Replica Builder, is in most cases they will scratchbuild the body his/herself(In this case he is a South Korean Replica Builder).... I've met quite a few Die-Hard Military Modelers/RC Modelers, and all of them were quite capable of building exactly what they wanted, usually only for them...... Here's his page: http://www.youtube.com/user/mkgimmsonjin
  5. Kool looking Kustom Vair I now I must be on crack for thinking this, but does anyone else see a Citroen through the nose???
  6. I hear ya Mr. O! I fell in love with them when I was little(Was 4yrs old when the '80's came out), as they reminded me of a Modern American version of the Classic Bustle Back Rolls Royces...... I was Lucky enough to have an '80 as a first car, back when I was 18yrs.... It was Silver Metallic over Black 2-tone, with a Gray Interior, and it was a Diesel to Gas Conversion started by the previous owner(I got it with a gas '78 Olds 350R, that my Father and I eventually rebuilt).... Man I miss that car like Crazy (Trans Blew, and could never get the replacement to drive right, but I keep the engine) Any Pics of said car??? I used to Love to Smoke the Tires on My '80, and have been able to do some impressive ones with my Father's '66 Toro(Now my Longterm Project).... The Hot Wheels looks to be closer to an '81-85 Model, as the '80s had more of a Verticle bar arrangement, with the horizontal support bars behind them, disappearing into the radiator support visually(Always prefered the '80's for that very reason, and the later years seemed to dull the look abit)....
  7. Didn't know that there was another manufacturer that offered the Doorstops????
  8. WOW AMAZING JOB SO FAR!!! I will be watching this one, as I got an Original kit to rebuild.....
  9. Great Job I have a similar one that needs refinish, but it has opening front doors..... Definately makes me miss my Fullsize Ka-Dad-d-Yo Villa I too wish that there was one in 1/25th or 1/24th Scale...
  10. Right Back at You and Yours Mig!
  11. NP Bro! You know I wish I did, but that was back when I was still in High School, aka Pre-Affordable Vid capable Cells.... I want to say that he did have a Myspace and Cardomain page that he posted pics & vids on, but for the life of me, I can't remember his full info.... His first name was Chevelle(yes he was named after the Chevrolet), so maybe if you google his name, and Dodge Caravan Lowrider or Hopper, you might find something....
  12. It's supposed to be one of the kits Lindberg was going to release, so I would still check their site or your local hobby shop.... CB is right, the rack is back farther on the fullsizes, as there would be unwanted weight around the sunroof... As Spike said though, the location notches in the roof places the rack too far forward, one of the things I complained about when the kits were new, but atleast it was an odd-ball subject... Maisto released a diecast one around the sametime, it had opening front doors, and I believe it is still available/ easier to find... Size wise, it actually seemed like it was the same size as the Lindberg Plastic, instead of Maisto's usual 1/26,1/27th,or 1/28th scale diecasts...
  13. Great Job with Caravan, reminds me of the '98 I helped a Buddy build in our Shop Class... His was a Purple Pearl that we shot over the Factory Burgundy Red... He too added pumps and dumps, along with the Mini 14" Triple Gold Daytons... It looked Cool, and hopped like a Rabid Bunny, but those Wheels caused it to eat through front & rear wheel bearings, and axle shafts like no tomorrow...
  14. Kool Lil' Mad you got there! The Fullsize is one of my Fav Kustom Mads in recent years... You've done an execellent job with the Mercruiser Lotus Built LT5(Chevy took Mercruiser's SBC based Marine Powerhouse Engines, and contracted Lotus to correct the problems they were having adapting the engines to the New ZR1's at the time)... The LT5's are more or less better served as a Boat Anchor in Automotive applications(Practicality is poor due to lack of parts availability, the PCM programming is picky to say the least when attempting to make power modifications, and the list goes on), but they were High Horsepower Water Terrors when they were placed in Cigarette Speedboat... Their Automotive Application All Aluminum DOHC design is very visually pleasing though, and I have always wondered why GM hasn't explored the Concept further, especially given Toyota's impressive Success with their DOHC V8's that were Originally based off of GEN. I SBC's....
  15. Outstanding Job The AMT Chargers have always had alot of potential in my eyes, and I'm glad to see someone do these kits Justice
  16. I Got to say I agree 100% with the Superb comment That is exact how my Fullsize would have looked, if I was able to by it back when I was 18 Now for my Complaints 1) It's not big enough to fit my BIGG Ol' Butt behind the wheel 2) It's not sitting in my Dream Garage 3) You Completely Spelled my name wrong on the Plate!!! Let me know when you have corrected those mistakes, and I'll give my address so you can send it right away....
  17. Amazing Job Customsrus! One of My Fav Showcars from the 50's You know I have always prefered the B.O.P. Roadster/Hardtop Vette-based Concepts of the '50's(Olds at the Top for me, Followed by Buick, Then Pontiac), and I think it would have made GM quite a bit of money, had they allowed one if not all of their marks have a lightweight Roadster like they had planned.... Honestly the B.O.P. Cars offered alot more Styling to the Roadster(I prefer the 50's-60's Vette's, even though I could never fit in a Factory one comfortably).....
  18. Very Kool Idea Are you going to go full Big Fink Style, by Drilling the Frame Rails to reduce weight, & then Chrome/Alcad it,the Suspension, along with the cage
  19. Depends on if it was a 2wd or 4wd, and which Axle(s) it came with...... The Majority of them were/are 8-Lugs as a 3/4ton, but you could order with 6 Lugs for a smaller setup.... GM went to a Standard 6 Lug Configuration on the '96/98 Half Ton models. and 8 Lugs on 3/4 Tons..... With that said, It's a Great Looking Truck I wish there was more Truck Kustom Wheel choices that are 6 and 8 Lugs, as I got a couple of 3/4 Tons I would like to build myself(My '89 Standard Cab LWB Silverado had 16" Factory Steel 6Luggers, and my '77 Standard Cab LWB GMC has Factory Steel 16" 8Luggers. neiither of which I can build a Replica Box Stock )....
  20. Bryan's looking for the Base Model Monte Header.... Here is the basic Differences SS front like the Revell/Monogram has LS front like Chop Shop attempted, but has the wrong Regal/GN/GNX Sealed Beam 2 piece light style, as opposed to the LS' true Single Composite Lamp Assembly(Oddly it is closer to a Base Model setup, but has the wrong bumper trim, and modified 91-96 Caprice Grille).... '86 Base Model(Earlier models had slight changes, and later Years the Base Model nose was the SS Nose from prior years).... It almost looks like you could shave the Bumper Trim on Chop Shop's header, and then add a GN/GNX front bumper to correct the look somewhat, then modify the Grill & Opening for your disired look....
  21. I'm with Zuk, too hard to just pick one, as they would all look good on my shelves
  22. Looks Great Gmcer I got an old build up that I have been trying to decide the route that I want to go with it.... Can't decide if I want to do a Dyno Don,a Slammer/Lowrider,a Base Model Imp,or a Mild Kustom... Yeah I hear ya Bill, I don't understand why they went through the trouble of doing the Belair's, then modify them for the Verts, but then dropped the ball with the Impala Hardtops like they were talking before..... Personally I like the Belairs,Biscaynes,Caprices, and Base Non-SS, but I have really wanted '62 Hardtop for sometime..... I Lucked out and got mine a few months back....
  23. Personally I like the idea of them only taking Pay Pal, as I have had a few guys try to tell me that they never recieved my M.O. Payment, even though I had checked with the M.O. Company, and they said that the Payment was cashed by the sellers.... Some of the Sellers are Now saying that they Prefer Pay Pal, but then they go on to say that they won't accept your Pay Pal payment, and will report you for non-payment, if your account is not Verified... Yet they say they will accept a Personal Check, Postal or Bank M. O. as well
  24. You're thinking of the '62 Belair's, the Impala Verts had buckets with a console in between them(wish they did come with an optional bench, as it would match the interior for a base Hardtop I want to build)..... If OSL wants to do a Custom Interior, he can use the full '62 Belair interior, modify the door panels if wanted, but add the Bufford dash.....
  25. Dang Geezer, you got some serious talent for sure!!! I've liked both Chopped & Un-Chopped T-Rods for sometime, and you have done an Amazing job replicating with this one.... B) I vote for a Gezzer-Rodified '15 Center Door next http://www.aardvarkmodels.com/product_t.html
