Coming from a Longtime '91-96 B-Body Lover, and an owner of a '96 Caprice since '03, I must say Very Nicely Done Bro Best thing about the '94-96 Impala's, was that they could be had on a Beer Budget, but they could easily Beat the Snot alot out of those who could afford the Champange Lifestyle ***Edit*** Btw, all of Revell's Bubble Bodies have problems with the Headlamp Assemlies sitting correctly, and the easiest way to fix the problem is by trimming the Locator Pins, and Glue Mounting them to sit flush against the edge of the Front Bumper Cover.... The piece of the Bumper Cover it should be resting against, is actually a Rubber Filler Piece(Typically Black, but can be painted body color when the Owner decides to color match, or the Painter didn't mask them off properly), that fills the gaps between the Bumper Cover, and Lamp Assemblies...

Fantastic Job, and Great Subject Choice all around!!! I'm a Longtime Wagon & Olds Nut, add Surfing to the mix, and you'll get applause from me!! Especially like the Green Steels,The Black Windshield Exterior Sunvisor, and how it looks like you added straw inserts to the interior.....

Everyone thinks Bob's Magsimo looks Volvo-esque, but that thing really does with Volvo's Wagon/SUV Trademark Vertical Taillights....

Dragon7665 replied to tuffone20's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Great Job So Far, coming along nicely Not a fan of the Yeller Gold Cragar's, especially since all I am seeing is Silver Accents throught-out the rest of your build Gold D's are halfway tolerable on a Lowrida, but preferably with a Chrome Lip..... -
New Beetle Hebmueller
Dragon7665 replied to Modelmartin's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
HA TOO KOOL!!! I did a Sketch on a Legal Length Notepad(The Long one) back in High School that was along the same lines yours... That was around '96 or '97, after I had seen pics and mag sketches of the New Beetle Concepts..... I called it Heb-Revisited, since the Hebmullers( American Bastard Translation, it loosely means the Herbert Miller Coach Works) were my Favorite Variations of the Beetles...... -
Plasti-Kote's Own Main Dist. Vendor Started Jacking around the prices + they had problems with product getting to the Retail Locations in a Timely Manner + Not Enough of their Complete Lineups were available to keep thos Retail Locations properly stocked = Retail Locations that decided to Go with a Product that less difficulties, and gave them what they wanted, for the price they wanted..... I was in Automotive Parts Retail back in '00-'01, and we had trouble with Plasi-Kotes Vendors then too.... Really too bad, as their the Only Sandable Spraybomb Primer I like, and Stand behind

'61 Falcon Sedan Delivery
Dragon7665 replied to Bruce Poage's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I've liked R&D's stuff for years, but it is too much of a Pain-In The Keester to get ahold of(And I live Close to them, but never can get ahold of them, within their schedule anyways), and when you do the parts don't exactly seem up to par for their prices.... Personally I like Jimmy Flintstone, as they offer the Odd-Ball Bodies,Quality is Top-Notch,Easy to Get Ahold Of, and they are Reasonably priced for what you are getting quality wise...... Jimmy's 1961 Ford Courier Sedan Delivery(Granted there is No Pics, but you can check out his Resin Shiftknobs that he designed, to know he is a Freak for Details)..... http://www.jimmyflintstonestudios.com/onli...etail&p=249 -
1973 - 1980 Chevy or GM Suburban???
Dragon7665 replied to impcon's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Nobody has ever offered the 73-80 Frontend on a Burb, but R&R and Modelhaus did the later Square Fronts(I know MH is an '82, and I want to say R&R's was the same)... Out of the two, MH has the better offering, and would be your best bet for a conversion starting point..... From there, you could use the front clip from the Rides '75 Blazer to give you the earlier nose.... -
Also '65 was the change over in engine design, but when in scale, a Later 60's-70 small block engine can be used to replicate the earlier '60's design..... Most noticable differences, is the Valve Covers, and Exhaust Manifolds..... The Earlier Engines had Covers that were boxier designs, like the Buick's and Aftermarket Chevy Covers of the day(Bolting surface was towards the Covers in the Traditional Pattern), whereas the Later Engines had a bit more of a rectangular design that tapered towards the top of the covers(Bolting surface was away from the Covers to give them more of a Positive Seal, which actually was less likely to leak)....

During the time that the Majority of GM's Divisions were using X-Frames, Oldsmobile was still using a perimeter frame of sorts... Oldsmobiles Guard-Beam Frame Oldsmobile added a Driveshaft Box on earlier cars, to for a bit of strength to their Guard-Beam Design when chassis was to be used on Convertible Models... The Addition of the Center Driveshaft Box, and Diagonal supports to connect it to the outer rails, resulted in an X-Beam Reinforced Perimeter Frame Design(something Olds had actually been using since their '48 Converts, and Some Hardtop Coupes).... Cadillac and Other GM Marks also used their own versions based on this design, but Oldsmobile was one of the few that continued the Practice.......

I'm a longtime Watson Fan, and I agree this is even better than some of his works!! To get that kind of results on a Fullsize is an acomplishment in itself, but for one to achieve said results inscale, is truely an Artisan.... Bravo for doing such an AMAZING JOB on one of my favorite Ford Designs!!! ;) B)

How Do I Achieve this Paint Job?
Dragon7665 replied to hungry4knowhow's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
The Fullsize Caddy is wrapped in a Vinyl Fucci (Fake Gucci pattern, and personally will never understand why anyone outside of a Car Show would have that on their car, as if a Company Rep spotted them, could you say Fat Trade Mark Lawsuit... Yes they do look cool cause it's different somewhat, but I don't have the money to afford the consequences) As for the '76 Donk Glasshouse (Only Bodystyle that should be refered to by this name), it looks to me almost like Fatkidd's Fishnet idea in the smaller pic, but looks like a Metal Screen Mesh Pattern when you enlarge the pic (Pattern is fairly thick between the design openings, and you can see how the top edges of the bodysides pattern looks fairly lighter than the flatter surface areas.. That actually suggests the spray templated wasn't flexed or flexible when the effect was being attempted, thus the edges are lighter, rather than uniform with the rest of the body)..... -
HOLY FREEHOLAYS Ya Stripped that Be-U-Te-Muss Finish WOW DAT WAS LITERALLY PLUM NUTZ!!! Sure the new Kolor fits ya more, but since you went through all of dat, I'm suprized that you didn't Dropp Da Roof in on it!!! Dragon7665 replied to Clay's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Gawd I remember watching Jeff back when he first started out!! Walter and Peanut would give me the creeps when I was younger, but it was always Funnier than Heck!!! I had a couple of Buddies that did Open Mike Night Stand Up Comedy, and they eventually became regulars at alot of the Local Clubs..... I was Lucky enough to meet Quite a Few Local and Big Name Comedians...... At the end of the Night, My Buddies, the Majority of the Comedians, and I would go out for drinks or dinner afterwards..... Was always a Blast Drinking and Chatting with them..... Lucked out and got to hang out with Jeff,Kermet Apio, along with a few other Great Comedians on several occasions...... -
Way out of the Cardboard Box For Sure, but right into a Pine one Hey how bout some scorch marks on Ol' Skully's noggin'???

Fantastic Job, definately a car that would never be kicked ot of my Garage(Always enjoy COPO's, and that Green for them)...... The only things I would change, or add to that, was that the first C stood for Central.... It actually still exsists today, but for the most part it has to do with the Fleet Management aspect of GM (Ie most Police/Taxi/Commercial/Government Vehicle orders go through there, after it was reabsorbed back into the Corporation)....... Also Berger/Yenko/Motion/etc Cars all started their lives as COPO's, once they figured out thatht ey could order the cars directly from GM, with the majority of the Options they wanted already on the car/ in the trunk(The Bigger engines could already be in the car off the assembly line, but the manifolds(Header/Intake),Aircleaner, and Etc were placed in the trunks(Basically an easy way around the Performance Restrictions of the past).......

Monte carlo header panel
Dragon7665 replied to bryan_m's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Every LS Replica I have seen built using that clip, not a single one has had anytype of lenses added to the front(Probably missed a couple, but for the most part I haven't seen any), so I wasn't aware that it was setup that way.... Yes I am aware that there a High and Low Beam Headlamp Buckets behind the Single Composite Lense, I have R&R'd enough of them for Buddies of Mine, and Used to sell them on Flea-Bey & Craigslist..... The way the Buckets are staggered on the First LS Clip, it is easy to tell that they came from the SS Header Panel, thus would cause the single lense to sit out too far on the outside, and would also pitch the inside edge towards the right/left of that side.... 408 actually has the right Idea with having the Buckets seperate from the Header Panel, as it would be easier to come up with a more correct bucket angle, once the lense has been established for them.... The biggest thing most over look, is that the lenses follow the contour of the surrounding lines, so that way they blend with the panel..... better -
WOW VERY BEAUTIFULLY DONE B) I don't think I have ever seen a Cleaner & Highly Detailed fullsize Superbird, let alone an engine compartment, heck not even at a Ferrett Jipsome Auction

Very Cleanly Built Ol' Ma would be proud!!

Yes most of the well stocked fabric stores will have the smaller stuff, mainly for doll clothing & etc, but it can also be easily found on 1:1 scale Dept Store Clothing.... Just make sure you don't raid your Spouse's Underwear Drawer, or She may have alot of questions for ya You could also check the clothing dept. clearence sections, but again be prepared for the weird looks or comments(It can be less of a Nerve Ordeal, if you actually tell the small clerk that you need help finding something in a Lacy Top, for a Wife/GF/Etc that is about her size )

Very Well Built Fiber should always be part of a regular healthy diet

Very Nicely Done Scare part is that there used to be one around where I used to live, and the guy even had an Evilone-styled Green Jacked Up '63 Pontiac Hearse(The body itself was probably worth more than the $1500 he had on it at the time)..... The guy that owned them, was apart of a Local Odd-Ball Mudder/Wheeling Group, that had a few Lifted 4x4 Converted F-bodies('67-'98)/Pinto's/Gremlin's/Pacer's/Yugo's/and various others(Had some interesting cars and wagons, but the group were idiots)......
