  1. Here's another one back from the dead,...or stalled,.. I wasn't happy with the black stripe on the lower body,...tried sanding it out,..didn't clear it before the black,.. couldn't strip it for fear of loosing all the bondo/squadron white filler I had put on it so,.... Hit it one more time with a close yellow Acrylic,...and, ok it needs sanding and ,....yeah maybe one more coat,...but it's gettin' there spent some time doing interior ...stock....for some reason AMT/ERTL had two clocks? molded into the GPS driver interface. So I installed a piece of pkg. plastic,Tamiya smoked into the opening screen,..? Gauges are cutouts from Detail Master Tach parts,..Cleared with Tamiya Clear gloss and washed with Tamiya clear red,.. Engine bay still needs work,... Had to sand some bolt heads down to close the hood,.... Got the undercarraige close to done, and wheel/tires mounted... Had to cut off the kit spindles and drill for wire to take tube to take Pegs,.........yada .... OMG that was touch and go for abit Anyway,..trying to clear the bench, and this is just another step (baby) Thanks for looking and of course Q, C,+ C's are welcome Cheers

  9. I just started back into the hobby about 2 years ago and my best finds are thru Kijiji here in Canada,.... I don't know what the similar U.S. Site would be, but people put up stuff for sale in your area.....you meet them and pay them directly. Not eBay way too much $.... I've been buying case lots of AMT , MPC, Johnny lightning kits....10 models for 50 - 60 bucks.... Mostly unbuilts mostly older, mostly cra.... but it's the building that teaches. Check your local flea / antique consignment shops. Loads of stuff out there Cheers

  20. Paul Simon Slip sliding away
  21. Yes I have built that piece of..plastic Built the engine, drivetrain Stock,.. had a heck of a time with flash and fitment on this kit. Lowered the front considerably just by drilling new holes in the inner fender wells. Head light buckets/front bumper needs alot of attention just to get it close (there is still a gap). According to alot of folks on here and other sites the dimensions on this car are all wrong,..but with a little patience it turns into a nice shelf model. I laid down a nice coat of midnight blue and glossed it It looks pretty good from your house duddnit? Have fun with it Cheers
  22. Thanks Mike I'll give 'em a try
