  1. I have seen the HPI guy review of this kit. It still shows the round glasspak mufflers from the 1966 MPC Mustang kit. The 1969 Cougar Eliminator has flat mufflers that are more correct.
  2. $300-500 is too much for a resin model. So, I guess I,m out too. There is a 3D print 1979 for about $100 out there.
  3. A 1/25 1965 Mustang fastback would be nice
  4. You may be correct about Round2, but sending parts to be chromed is easy
  5. Me too! The only way we will ever see a 1/25 1965 Olds 442.
  6. The AMT 72 Chevelle is what's left of the 1971 Chevelle. The same is true of the MPC version, except the 72 MPC Chevelle became a NASCAR kit and then Street machines in the 1980s. Bottom line; the body is somewhat messed up
  7. I used a1970 kit to fix a damaged 1966
  8. I believe AMT scrapped some tools in the 1970s, yet surprises still come.
  9. What you say is true. I think it is terrific Round2 is bringing the kit back in one form or another
  10. When ERTL reissued the 1963 Impala in 1987 all the collectors took the gas pipe;$200 down to $50 in one short stroke. I am happy for the builders that just want the kit.
  11. It was a small block Chevy for sure. My original kit is lost somewhere but the real car was supposed to accept a 283 yet didn't appear until 1964. Then a 327 in 1965.
  12. I got my 1940 Ford coupe in 1964. Was blue plastic like 59 El Camino and 58 Impala. For a 10 year old they built easily.
  13. What do the correct hood vents look like?
  14. That Poor man's Porche couldn't compete with a Mustang or needed more than a Nova as a family car. About as wanted as a mini Cooper US spec in 1969.
  15. I know that the AMT and MPC 1971-1973 exhaust are incorrect with round cherry bomb mufflers. They were flat ovals. The ERTL/AMT 1969 Cougar has the correct exhaust and seem to fit okay. It's just annoying thinking that one must buy another kit or parts to make a correct model. I bought this to fix a problem Model Car Parts AMT 1969 Cougar Eliminator Chassis 1/25 | eBay
  16. Mrs Halicki is sort of a pain in the licensing area. I would bet Round2wouldn't bother
  17. I hear everybody's complaint but the kit seems better. I have stockpiled a bunch of AMT and MPC 1971-1972 Mach 1 kits in the last 10 years. Now they can sell the 1971-3 Eleanor Mustang molded in yellow?
  18. Do you have fotos of the roof rebuild. I would like to try it.
  19. Maybe not but they sure were in 1969 when AMT reissued the 1962 Bonneville hardtop kit.
  20. The Post Office is stressing me out. I pay Priority shipping and they take weeks to deliver or lose a model so that people get mad at me.
  21. Thank Tim, for the great photos. Looks like a winner plus I imagine an engine in a future kit issue
  22. I have the original 1971 and 1972 MPC Mustang kits. Unfortunately, they are packed away. These sillhouettes are fuzzy but appear a little thinner bumper wise. The missing-Link gille bumper sets will do the trick. I hope Round2 includes correct decals and muffllers as well
  23. The Tope racer eliminated the exhaust , stock interior and stock body items like emblems, side marker lights and completely stock grille.
  24. Without a small bumper, it's not a 1971.
