  1. Yup.... That where i saw it at! Unfortunately, my copy is water damaged.... I couldn't stop drooling all over the picture!!!! Thanks for the compliment, and hopefully I'll get this thing done before I kick the bucket!
  2. I missed the 50's, and half of the 60's, but I remember the cool cars in Orange County, and going to OCIR when I was a kid. I really loved watching the races, and seeing the best of the best racing down the quarter mile. The custom van shows held at the beach was another memory that I have that inspired the builds I do. Never got to meet any famous custom car builders, but i got to see their work every so often. I miss surfing, but still listen to the beach boy's and The Ventures. Ahhhh.... those were great days! Thanks for the trip down memory lane Dave!
  3. I love the work you do Dave. Now if I could do as well, I'd be thrilled to death.
  4. To the forum! From what I can see it looks good. I'm old, so I can't see them as well, but the interior looks good.
  5. That looks great Marcos! The work you did on the BMF looks awesome! Makes me want to finish mine. Keep up the great work!
  6. WOW!!!! 231 in 1929! Thanks for the history on this vehicle, I like learning about stuff like this. Good luck at the GSL this year with this build.
  7. Here's some pics of the scoop on the engine....
  8. Thought I'd have a little fun with this build, so I scratchbuilt an intake scoop for it. Here's the pics.... It looks pretty good on the engine I think. It'll go through the hood, Which I have an idea I want to try on it. I'll have another update later tonight....
  9. I scratchbuilt the valve covers last night, but they didn't come out as well as i had hoped, so I re-did them tonight. I was wanting to get a good arch on the tops, and I think they came out much better the second time. Each valve cover has 7 separate pieces. Here's the new and improved parts.... More updates later tonight.
  10. After looking at the pics and the valve covers, I've decided to re-do the tops. I'll have new pics tonight.
  11. Just got a third 1/20th scale van in today. This time I got the MPC "The Wizard" van. Here's some pictures of it.... This now adds to my collection of MPC 1/20th scale vans, including the "Supervan", and the "Visible Van".
  12. That's awesome Rob! It looks really cool. Post a couple of pics when you get it done and installed.
  13. Well.... Almost. I just need to drill some holes in the top of them for the wires. here's the pics.... More soon.
  14. I'm gonna go with model.
  15. I like it Rob! it looks really good. this should be an interesting build.
  16. My best to you both, and I hope she get's to feeling better soon. I know what she's going through, I also suffer from migraines. We'll see you when you get back.

  19. I got this in the mail today.... I plan to turn it into the '55 from the Stephen King movie "Sometimes They Come Back". I also received the Datsun custom fenders and parts sent by Dan Popeko A.K.A '59 Chevy Impala. Thanks so much Dan! I really appreciate them!
  20. That's because Harry hasn't gotten to them yet. Just give him a chance....
  21. And yet you still post pics of real cars.... Like the one you're standing next to.... What do you mean by Photoshop? THAT"S A MODEL???? Just kidding you. You really do awesome work, and it was a shame they didn't like it. I remember that. The members son has cancer, and all he asked was that we pray for his son. I posted here about members of the club I belong to being sick and injured, and it was left on the board because these are human beings to the forum, and not models.
  22. When i read your post, the first thing I thought about was the rodders of the '50s. I remember seeing pictures of one guy who took a small sledge hammer and beat the tar out of his oil pan so it would clear the tie rod. What you did was akin to that. There are always drawbacks to building a car, and adding things (bigger engines, top chopping, lowering the body, etc. etc.), that will cause another thing that has to be altered to get it to work. You do what you can to achieve the results you want, nothing more....
