  1. I decided to remove the valve covers that were on the engine, and scratchbuild a set for it. This is the first part of it. The base of the valve covers.... More to come....
  2. I seriously doubt it'll be ready Jon. Plus the fact I have to work on Saturdays doesn't help either Thanks for asking though. If you happen to have plans in advance for another one later in the year, give me a shout about a month in advance so i can ask for the day off, and I'll come on down. Thanks for the compliment on this build!
  3. Thanks Cap'n. I'll be working on it some later. My days off have ended, so it's back to the old grind stone again....
  4. I'm starting to get the engine together. I first had to scratchbuild some motor mounts for the car. Here's a couple of pics.... With the motor mounts attached, I painted the engine yellow, attached the valve covers, painted them black, and added 3- 4 barrel carbs to the supercharger.... More updates soon....
  5. Thanks Cap'n. I'll be working on it tonight. I'll have some pics posted later.
  6. Congratulations Kevin! Now I'll know someone who can work on my car!
  7. Did some work on the rear fenders tonight. I used some Evercoat 2 part polyester putty on them to mold them in. Here's some pics.... Still need to add some more putty, then smooth it out completely, but it's looking better.
  8. I'm using a 4 speed trans from the Revell '67 pro street kit. here's a few pics of it.... The engine and trans before separation.... Separated and cleaned up.... Attached and ready to paint.... I'll have another update later tonight!
  9. I received the 1/16th scale Swamp Monster kit from Steve A.K.A. Cragar8 this morning, and it is a great kit! He communicates with the people he trades with, and discloses any and all problems the kit may have. Everything in the kit is fixable, and will be a great kit to build. Thanks Steve, you're a great trader, and i would trade with you anytime!!!!
  10. Great looking kids Clay! Very adorable. You are a very lucky man to have such cute kids.
  11. I'm gonna go with George.... Real....
  12. Nice Gregg! My other hobby is R/C trucks also. Here's mine.... This is the Tamiya TXT1. I re named it overkill.... I bought it brand new, and instead of building it stock, I installed 2 15 turn Reedy modified motors, 2 Novac Super Rooster speed controls, and I use 2 3300 MaH 6 cell battery packs to run it.... They used it for a display model at my LHS because I bought the body there.... Up next is my Team Losi XXXT race truck.... I added aftermarket wheels and tires to it.... And this is my 1/10th Parma '32 ford.... It even comes with a detailed Hemi.... Everyone tells me i need to turn my TXT1 into a crawler, but i enjoy speed!!!!
  13. Thanks for the compliment Kevin! I appreciate it! Here's a few names you could give it.... Ford F-EVIL 1 Flippin' Evil (for the flip front end) Dark 'N' Evil Spellbound (AC/DC song title) Hellfire Pure Evil I'll probably think of a few more later....
  14. And still continued.... A couple of pro streets A vampire Van And about 20 other starts I haven't photographed yet! YIKES!!!!
  15. Continued.... The "Corpsevette A hoard of hearses A stretched hearse A super detailed hearse A Magnum police car
  16. Continued.... C-Cab custom A variety of Vettes A couple of trucks
  17. What isn't on the back burner for me!?! My problem is that I start one kit, find another that peaks my interest, and then start on that one. It's a vicious cycle. My new years resolution this year is to work on one project at a time. I still mock up other projects to see how they will look, but I don't start gluing them. These are my projects in waiting.... A '57 El Camino Lincoln Continental hearse '49 Merc '60 Starliner '68 Charger 2007 Trans Am
  18. I think it looks like one of the jars of formaldehyde they have in a science lab.... "Here we have the preserved body of a New York city rat. And over here we have a preserved head of a possum. And over here we have a preserved form of an AMT 1960 Ford Starliner kit, generously donated by Marcos Cruz....
  19. Ya forgot to paint Model Cars Magazine on it! Nice work you both did on it. You have taught your son well!
