  1. And another update. I test fit the Mercedes grill to the body and frame, and found that It sat too high. I cut off about an eighth of an inch off the grill, and fit it into the frame. Here's a couple of pics of it.... I've started on building the front suspension on this, and will have an update soon.
  2. I'm building the Allison engine from the AMT/Rc2 Competition parts pack, and I've been sanding the chrome off to glue the parts together. After I sand the chrome off, the part emits a weird smell. It smells like latex paint. The chrome seems like it doesn't hold real well, and it flakes off when the part is being cut off the tree. Can anyone tell me why it smells like this?
  3. Update.... I stretched the frame on the Me-Rodder so that I can fit the Allison V-12 into it. here's a couple of pics.... I cut 2 frames apart to stretch it It now extends out where I wanted it More updates soon.
  4. Thanks Cap'n. I'm gonna do some work on it tonight. I've got 2 frames from the Revell '41 Willy's I'm gonna chop up and stretch, so I can fit the Allison engine into it.
  5. I'll have to say model. Either that, or you have really gotten us with this one....
  6. I do what I can.... Insanity is my best quality!
  7. Looks great Marcos! I've been wondering how it's been going. I've put mine aside for the time being, due to lack of time to work on it. The undercarriage is nice, but the wheels and tires are excellent! Keep up the great work!
  8. I clicked on your name, and then clicked on find members topics, and they are all there....
  9. Careful.... I'll sick Dawn on you! And thanks for giving me the kit!
  10. Thanks Jose. I'm doing as much as I can with it, but work has kept me busy. I'll add an update soon. Yes Foxer! I butchered it! HAHAHAHA! And I'll do it again! Thanks for the laugh! I'll have to fix the firewall to fit the Allison engine in, and stretch the frame a bit. Hopefully it won't be too much trouble.
  11. I'll have an update soon for this one. My hours at work went from 20 hours, to 44, so I've had little time to work on this.
  12. You're building a rare kit!?! Shame on you! This looks great! I'll definitely watch this build. I read Dennis Doty's article in MCM, (January 2008 Issue #129) and I would love to have one, but they're far out of my reach. Good luck with this build!
  13. And TWISTED!!!! Looking forward to seeing them. Call me, or E-mail me and let me know whats going on with you two. I hadn't heard from either of you, and I got some good news to tell you both! Talk at you later.

  23. Those are looking great! I definitely need to pick one up as soon as possible! Thanks for showing the builds!
  24. Update. I've added new wheels to the car, from the Revell '57 pro sportsman kit. I also glued the windshield frame to the body. I may go ahead and keep it a convertible instead of scratch building a hardtop. It doesn't look half bad with the uptop on it. Not much else done to it right now. Just trying different frames to see which one would be good to use as a modern style.
  25. Uh-uh.... I asked first! he's sending it to me for my birthday!
