  1. Thanks Rick! Yes, it is Missouri....
  2. Thank you Ed! Only one of them was wild and crazy. Our secretary had unavoidable medical problems. Again, thank you so much.
  3. Thanks Douglas! They could your prayers. It's been rough for them. They're the the type of people who really treat others well, and will help out in any situation when needed. The way it's going, I'm kinda scared to outside!
  4. I belong to the 4 State Modelers Club here in Joplin. One of our members was seriously injured in an accident on a 4 wheeler. He hit a snowbank, and was thrown off the bike. He broke several bones, and split his head open. I won't include pictures, because it was really bad. I learned today that he is back in the hospital due to his injuries. Today I also learned that the secretary of our club is in the hospital for surgery. I went and visited her, and she stayed awake for a whole hour until her pain meds kicked in. Please keep them in your thoughts. They are really good people. Thanks. Marshall.
  5. If I ever get tired of seeing this build, there would have to be something seriously wrong with me! I'd have to find a nice tall cliff, just so I could take one step too many! Excellent work my friend!
  6. Show off.... You get a free round trip across your street and back!!!! Congratulations!!!! B) Nice job!
  7. See if you can figure it out who it is driving this rear engine funny car.... John Force’s first funny car was a major flop. Not only was "The Night Stalker" a rear engined car, but the engine was mounted sideways. John and Louie Force purchased the Mustang from Jack Chrisman. Chrisman had built the car but never raced it. The car’s weak point was the chain drive. Irwindale starter Larry Sutton was so tired of being hit with chain links, he had John banned from the track. The car had a SOHC 427 Ford to begin with, but a Chrysler Hemi took its place. The car later became the "Cop Patrol," but still was unsuccessful. 9. Thanks Rodney! Actually I've been able to use the parts on other builds. The parts of one kit is going towards the '59 hearse, and the front and rear suspension is going on a JoHan '66 hearse.
  10. Looks good! Here's what I did to make a frame for my '59 hearse.... I took 2 frames from the Monogram '59 Elderado Seville kits.... Cut them apart.... And then re-attached them.... This what the '59 looks like with the front of the roof chopped and lowered looks like. I got the idea from the car Michael has posted. George Barris' "Cargoyle". I love that car!!!!
  11. Do I sense jealousy from the "other forums"? I was on the other magazine's (I can't say "magazine" with a straight face) forum, and all they do is bicker, whine, complain, cut down, chew up, spit out, and try to humiliate people with less experience. One of the most ridiculous things I saw over there was the competition to have more posts, regardless if what they posted made any sense. I feel this forum is more family than a community. I have gotten great tips, comments, information, and advice from members here (notice this is the exact opposite of what I wrote above), and all the words were NOT harsh. If I made a mistake on something (i.e. if I put the oil filter on the wrong side of an engine) I don't hear, "well, you don't have a clue of what you're doing dummy!". Instead I get, Didn't the oil filter on the Ford go on the left side? I hope this helps." And it does, and I'm grateful that they helped me! Gregg is the best moderator (you're an excellent moderator too Harry, I didn't forget you!), and will help you with whatever needs to be done. Everybody here has some awesome talent that they show, and help others with whatever someone needs help with. I have yet to see any ego's get in the way, and it makes me proud to be a member here! Thank you all!!!!
  12. I agree with you 100% Robert. When someone is just starting to get into cars, it's not easy to to know what is going on with the car, and people should remember that. I know what you're going through Kevin. I owned a '76 M&M with a 500 C.I. at one time, And when you're first starting out learning about cars, allot of it is learn as you go. There's still allot that I don't know about, and I'll be 46 soon (transmissions are Greek to me). When you take it to a repair shop, ask as many questions that you can, it'll help you to learn how things are fixed. Glad to hear you got it back on the road! Just do me one favor.... Don't drive by my house.... I can't afford to replace my windows!!!! :D

  14. It looks great Ron! What color are you going to use for the flames?
  15. Just one word for it.... WICKED AWESOME!!!!
  16. Very nice Dave! Now that's thinking outside of the box. I am definitely keeping a close eye on this one, because this one's going to be a big hit!!!! Excellent work bud!
  17. I'm gonna say real.... And if I'm wrong, it's all Georges fault!
  18. Well.... Oregon will be a great tourist attraction. It'll be the only state in the union that evolution took a giant leap and bound backwards. You can bring the kiddies to see the "greenies" living in caves, eating moss from trees, wearing Sabre toothed tiger clothes, and talking like: "Fire good", "Me hunt down down wild possum", and my all time favorite: "Me drag woman by hair after me club her...." What the real problem is, is that they want to get richer, by exploiting the concerns of the people to their advantage. And people ask me why did I move from California....
  19. It's looking good guy's! Keep up the great work!
  20. A friend of mine tried to pull that one on me.... It didn't work. I did scare him half to death though. I have a Halloween screen saver that when you move the mouse, something jumps out at you (i.e. bats, a vampire, a witch, etc, etc....). I had him move the mouse, and he jumped out of the chair, and nearly fell backwards. I laughed so hard it hurt!
  21. All I can say is YEEEEEOOOOUUUUCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. I couldn't tell you Tim.... You'd know better than I would . It is a very different truck though! It's a special edition Peterbilt, known as a Legacy Edition 379. Here's more pictures of it. I think it would make a great project....
  23. Hmmmm.... If I remember correctly, I think Bill "Mr. Obsessive" Geary has a copyright for that name....  This build is going great Dave! Keep up the awesome work!
