  1. I'm gonna say model....
  2. Your site is closed right now, but I've bookmarked it's location. I was wondering if you still have any of the Merc wagons left, or are you sold out? I would also like to know about the Merc woody? Is it available? The workmanship looks great!
  3. That is really awesome! I love that movie! You did an excellent job replicating it.
  4. With the 1/20th scale Corvette parts I have, Oh what I would build!!!!
  5. Engine looks great.... So.... which vehicle have you decided to install it in? I think it would look good in any of the three you've got. Let us know....
  6. I like it Virgil! IT'S HOT!!!! IT'S COOL!!!! IT'S EVIL!!!! Your friend should market the webbing. I'd bet he'd make allot of money selling it. I also agree with Jairus, you definitely know how to make a presentation! I'll be keeping an evil eye on this one!
  7. THAT IS AWESOME VIRGIL!!!! I've already thought of at least 20 applications I could use that on (yeah.... HEARSES! ) This looks to be like a really Kool Kat build! I'll definitely be watching this one!!!! I wouldn't mind knowing how you made the hood either. Keep up the great work!
  8. Looks awesome Virgil! I got a good laugh from the trunk! keep up the great work!!!!
  9. Looks good Virgil! I can't wait to see these 2 built! By the way, I know for a fact that you didn't get cold feet on your "Rat Out Of Hell" build.... It came back to life, and your just waiting to lull the beast back to sleep before you go near it!
  10. Thanks Greg! I'll look forward to seeing yours built too. I couldn't believe the detail this kit has either. I haven't seen what the '62 Pontiac is like, so I look forward to that too!
  11. Looks awesome so far Jairus! This looks like it will be really cool. I have some 1/20th scale corvette parts if you need anything. I'd be happy to give them to you for this project.
  12. Why do I feel sick to my stomach when I compare my builds to yours? Looks great so far Bill! I'll be looking forward to seeing this one!
  13. Thanks Marcos! I'm just following your lead. I saw the photoetched you ordered, and have done the same myself. It should be here in a week or two. I also plan to add pieces from the interior junk photoetch set, and a radio faceplate photoetch set. I still look forward to seeing yours being built. You do awesome work!
  14. Thanks Tommy! This is a first for me in a long time. I haven't built a box stock model since.... What year is this? Thanks again!
  15. Thanks Hemi! This thing is turning into one of the longest WIP I've ever done! I appreciate your compliment!
  16. Thanks Jody. I thought it would be a cool idea! Thanks for the PM you sent Virgil, I appreciate it. This build has only taken about 3 days to get where it's at now, but I've also got 2 other projects going ('60 Ford Starliner, and of course, as always, the "corpsevette"), so I'm doing quadroople the work at the same time. Thanks again guys!
  17. This is another project I have been working on.... I bought 2 Little Red Wagon kits, and decided it might be kind of neat to have one as the race/wheelie truck, and one for a tow vehicle. The trailer is from the AMT '76 Chevy kit. I'll add the tow pieces to the stock truck for the hook up for the trailer. The wheelie trucks rear wheels were widened for a better looking wheel.
  18. Thanks Clay! I really appreciate your compliment! Here's an up date for anyone who's wanting to know what's been happening.... I added some aluminum sidepipes to the Corpsevette, using some tubing I got from the LHS (I have no idea what the tube diameter is, I just used the plastic side exhaust from the kit, and matched up the plastic pipe to the same size tubing). A friend of mine loaned me his set of tube benders, and away I went. I then polished the tubing with metal polish, then sprayed a coat of lacquer clear to keep it from dulling.
  19. Thanks Kevin! Mine won't be as nice as Marcos, but at least I can relax with this build (I.E. customizing the body work). It's just going to be a straight build for once....
  20. Here's the detail for the front and rear brakes I added.... I used some #1 braided lines for the brake lines, front and rear. I plan to add an aluminum exhaust pipes to the kit, so I used the headers that came with the kit. I'll be buying some tubing at my LHS, and hopefully be able to bend them to the correct shape that I need. Until next time....
  21. Just like Marcos mentioned, I saw the box art, and I couldn't pass up buying this kit. Here's some pics of the body painted, but not polished as of yet.... I found some really nice paint from Dupli-Color called Medium Quasar. It came out really nice. I had to go to 2 different Autozone parts stores to get 2 cans, as each one had only 1 5oz can each. Oh well....
  22. Hi everyone! I thought I would show you my newest project I'm working on. It's a box stock build with some aftermarket parts thrown in. Here's the engine.... I added a couple of turned aluminum oil breathers, an aluminum distributor (both from detail master), and some blue wrapping wire from Radio Shack.I used some thin heavy wire to make the air cleaner removable by drilling holes in the carbs.
  23. Sorry, that's the biggest pic I could find. I found it here: http://www.70sfunnycars.com/ This is a really cool web site, that has tons of pictures of '70s funny cars, and stories.
  24. I found this pic on the internet that I thought everyone might enjoy.... Here's the story on this one(notice in the lower left hand corner, the "instruction sheet"). ...magazines tore funny cars apart, showed you what they were made of and what they cost? In the late 60s, SS&DI broke down one of the Jungle Jim Novas, in the early 70s Car Craft dismantled the Whipple & McCulloch Duster (total investment was approx $49,000 including tow car, trailer, spare motor, insurance, etc). In 1978 Car Craft magazine dissected the War Eagle Firebird of Dale Pulde ("55 Easy Pieces, June 78) but didn't discuss the costs involved. In the new millennium, just like in the late 70s, if you have to ask, you can't afford it. (Photo from cover of Car Craft magazine, March 72)
  25. Looks good Marcos! I'm working on that same kit myself, and because of the box artwork, I too had to buy it. The main problem I'm having is with the company that is making these AMT re-issues, Auto World. I've bought 2 kits from them, and both have warped trees, and warped parts. The interior floor pan is twisted, and the tree that holds one one the engines in this kit was twisted. the other kit I bought, the Digger 'Cuda, has a warped body, and the chrome tree is warped. I've decided to just use the Cuda for parts.... Anyhow.... I'm watching your build to see how it comes out. you do excellent work!
