  1. Congratulations, and that does look really nice. However, I can't be the only one who thinks they're missing an opportunity by not doing a Cadillac.
  2. I know you mentioned something something the last time I asked. Preaching to the choir here.
  3. And it looks like the price will be pretty reasonable.
  4. I would have liked the Deuce grille option on the roadster, but apparently it's not that easy.
  5. I enjoyed this one quite a bit when I was younger. This was the first book in a series, including titles lie "The Black Tiger at Le Mans", and "The Black Tiger at Indianapolis" As a kid, I'd basically devour any book having to do with cars.
  6. Like I said, AMT will still sell you one with the proper wheel wells.
  7. If it's like the last edition, hopefully, there will be a less surprised option.
  8. Thank you, this is exactly the sort of information I was looking for, real world examples of how it was done, and it got me looking for some real world examples of how to run those upper braces around a blower. I found a radiator in the parts box that will fit in the sectioned shell, since this is supposed to replicate a late '50s build, I am curious about they did back in the day before specialty radiator builders were a thing.
  9. Here's a photo from the NNL show:
  10. From what I understand, the big difference this time around is that it has the wheels and tires from the '30 Coupe. And of course, if you just have to have a stock bodied Model A, there's still the AMT kit.
  11. A question for the folks in the group who build real hot rods. I've been building this hot rod model, and I want to mount the radiator low and in front of the front crossmember like in this photo. Now obviously, I could just glue it to the front crossmember, but it has been bugging me how you would actually attach the radiator to the frame on something like this. I've been looking through Google and the H.A.M.B.But maybe I just haven't been asking the right questions.
  12. Honestly, the box art is not a factor. If anything, I prefer photos, because you at least have some idea what you're getting.
  13. Though I will say that someone is missing any opportunity by not making a leaf spring adapter kit for the rear.
  14. I want to get another too. Sure, there has been a lot of talk about what people would have liked to see, but everyone has their own idea about how a hot rod should look, and it's still a great starting point for your ideal hot rod. Even if you don't care about Model A roadsters, it's still a great collection of kitbashing parts. I already have a use picked out for that SBC.
  15. Oh, that is nice! Especially great job on the roof paint.
  16. And yes, I would be totally okay with someone releasing a decent Aerocar kit.
  17. I believe this is the car today, and it is a beauty. The top and windshield from a Jo-Han MB 500K look like they might be close. I think the '31-'32 Imperials are some of the best looking of an era of already stunningly beautiful cars. Sure, it's a copy of a Cord L-29, but there are far worse things to copy.
  18. I was going to bring up the Aerocar in The Bob Cummings Show, but it turns out it was offered as a kit
  19. The '32 Chrysler Imperial "roadster" is definitely a convertible coupe. Here's a "31 Imperial roadster for comparison: Also, according if these production figures from HowStuffWorks are right, Chrysler didn't build any Imperial roadsters in 1932, though a few do seem to have been custom built: https://auto.howstuffworks.com/1931-1933-chrysler-imperial-eight5.htm
  20. Really, if you live in North America, you're more at risk from flu. https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm If you really want to worry about something, maybe think about how many Amazon/UPS/Fedex employees, or for that matter anyone you've come in contact with, have decided that they didn't need to take off a sick day.
  21. And if you just have to have all the extra detail, I suppose you could swap parts from the Revellogram '59.
  22. A '59 Chevy wagon would be pretty cool, and I think the El Camino is already most of the way there.
