It's from one of the Monty Python books. I can't remember which one. Back on track, Premier has some pretty interesting subjects, like an Allard and a Kaiser-Darrin. Too bad they made Palmer look like rivet counters.

I'm going to guess that it's Premier's attempt at a Lincoln Futura.

That's always been a part of the car hobby for sure, but thankfully not everyone has that limited a worldview. Cars like this are interesting precisely because they are outside our experience. They represent a time that is in many ways as alien to us as the world of Game of Thrones. Someone in the brought up steampunk in the brass era model thread, a whole fantasy genre based on 19th and early 20th century tech. There are people who are interested in this stuff, though as you say, it remains to be seen if there are enough to make it worthwhile, though it seems a few companies think there might be. In any case, I'll take this over yet other painfully boring generic malaisewagen any time.

Once it's together, I want to to stay together.

Also, a big round of applause to Round 2 for bringing back one of their classic kits. Here's hoping that more will follow.

I already had the four door, so the roadster is defintiely on my want list. It will most certainly be built factory stock.

Definitely looking forward to this one, either the roadster or the convertible sedan. (it has windows, so it's not a phaeton.)

I watched Banacek regularly too, and my memory required some jogging from the Internet. It's a 1941 Packard with a body by Darrin, and it is a beauty.

Speaking of Bewitched, this one has not only made an appearance in that show, but in Star Trek and Batman as well.

The 1932 Packard from the series Banyon I don't think the cars from the series UFO were ever released in kit form.

Some more progress on this one. Revell's '48 Ford Custom coupe supplied the steering box and associated linkages, though the steering column will be replaced by a piece of polished aluminum tube. Revell's '29 ford pickup supplied a nicely moulded set of Houdaille shocks for the front, while the tube shocks and brackets in the rear were scratchbuilt from styrene stock. The original split wishbones up front were too short, and will be redone, and some holes still need to be filled, but the chassis is almost ready for paint.

Or build it with the rear axle from a Model T.

I think it's a lot like the demand for the Uncertain T, in that people want it because they were told they can't have it but hey, I could be wrong.

I would have liked an optional Deuce grille like the coupe, but this is still a kit with lots of potential. A quick change is nice, but I have a pile of those in my parts box, so I'm good there.

Considering some of the unicorns that have been coming out lately, it can't hurt to let the companies know what you want.

It's okay to get excited about things you enjoy. Within reason, of course.

Some AMCs would be nice to see. A Nash Metropolitan and a bathtub Nash spring to mind. Sure, I have zero interest in a 1968 Coronet, but obviously some people are very interested in them, and they're perfectly within their rights to talk about them.

All right, any other topics we should stop talking about while we're here? I'm sure your happiness is important to a lot of people here. It's not my thing, but we don't all have the same interest, and that's just fine. The only way the kit companies will know what we want is if we tell them, and who knows? Maybe the numbers will work this time, maybe not. Worst case, we kill some time shooting the breeze about model cars, which I understand is the point of a model car forum, but of course, I could be mistaken. Now, I know that bandwidth is an issue for a lot of people, so I'm just going to point out how much you'll save by not clicking on topics that don't interest you, and how you'll save even more precious bits by not posting passionate pleas to stop talking those topics.

Apparently the roadster is coming out in March, and an all new Jag E-type is in the works.

I did like that they were up front that there things they'd like to do, but there is only so much they can do at once. Also nice to know that some licenses are hard to get than others.

Lots of good news for the sci fi fans.
