Engine compartment is under construction now. Some wires are assembled but radiator, firewall parts and battery are still missing. -
Can I see some crazy Drivetrain swaps?!

This is my Fiat 500 with two olds Toronado engines. I hope to get it finished someday. -

Small update. Engine, brake- and fuellines are assembled but handbrake cables are still missing. Steering parts must be installed in the engine room before body can be put in place. Side frame bar needs still some trimming but can be done, I hope -
Great job. This is a quite challenging kit I made cabriolet years go. Only complaint is steering wheel position that should be like in this picture when wheels are straight.

Foiling has been done and it took a week with one coat future to protect it. -

Nice idea. I have a couple surfboards available in some kits. I started foiling, I hate foiling. Still, a man's got to do what a man's got to do. -

Hudson's paint is polished and then coated with Future now but it is not enough smooth and glossy I expected. Can I polish it before I start foiling? I'm not very familiar with Future. I have that wagon body too but donor kit will be different. Maybe from a modern mopar -

Here we go again but much progress has not happened. Interior parts are almost painted, floor flocked and side frames mended. Stance testing with modelhaus steel wheels. -
I ordered Rebel resin body from dami -alex via ebay. He sended item fast and resin cast quality is great. I don't think he is Kustom resin Mark because sender name is different and he lives in other state. Last week Kustom resin sent me a message in facebook. He told about divorce and he did not have internet accaess to complete orders. Now he has set up his store again and he promised to send items that people have ordered. Hope he keeps his promises.

Kustom resin sells resin stuff in facebook now:https://www.facebook.com/pages/Kustom-Resin/1416898025192573

I don't know what is going on. rdsxfan2 ( http://www.ebay.com/usr/rdsxfan2?_trksid=p2047675.l2559 ) does not sell resin parts as earlier and marksfreeshippingstore ( http://www.ebay.com/usr/marksfreeshippingstore ) had same resin kits for sale yesterday but not any more. Strange. I really hope Mark will come back to business because I really need some of his parts.
-
It seems http://www.kustomresin.com/ has shut down and rdsxfan2 does not sell resin parts in ebay anymore. Mark sells now in ebay using username marksfreeshippingstore. I have waited my parts for four months and hope to get them soon. Mark answers emails but have not sended my parts.

Engine is done at last. Throttle linkage is diy and distributor is a resin part. Interesting engine. -
I found some issues in this kit: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78726

Ok, body is painted. It needs to dry completely before polishing and foiling. Colors don't show right in the picture but are too light. -

All engine and chassis parts are now painted. For body I chose Jefferson Green and Mint Green combo from hudson colors. When the rest of the body is painted I start to built engine. Hudson H-145 inline six spark plug wire order is 1-5-3-6-2-4 clockwise as most I6 has. -
Cool car and great built. Nice to see these here. Currently I'm restoring 1:1 Hornet Sportabout '71 and it is supposed to be ready this summer.

Has frontier resin desing improved their resin cast quality? I found some nice studebaker kits in ebay and think to buy if they are worth of it.

Can somebody measure front and rear track width from a built model? Rear wheels don't fit but side frame bars can bend a bit to get more room. Real Hornet specs: wheelbase 119.9 in | 3045 mm front track 58.5 in | 1486 mm rear track 55.5 in | 1410 mm http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z17207/Hudson-Pacemaker-Custom.aspx Edit: corrected dimensions -

Body, interior, chassis and frame has primered first time. They need some more putty and sanding. I added a side frame bar beside back wheel openings (if this is understandable in English ) Hope wheels still fit. -
I started Flintstone phantom Hudson pickup. Resin body is quite good outside but inside is rough casting and needs some putty, Donor kit is Moebius Hornet '52. Hood needs sanding to fit in place and chassis was 4 mm too long. Spare wheel box, gas tank and wheel housings were removed. Flintstone recommends to use backseat and parcel shelf but used front seats as they are more realistic and can recline. There is room behind seat for luggages.
