Well, here's a little update/mock-up. Almost done, but , I'm having problems with the floor pan, or , 'belly' pan as they call it on the kit instructions, lol. It doesn't want to line up lengthtwise with the sides of the body. I've found one of the probelms, that being the gas pedal being too low, so I can re-locate that easy enough, but,....... I don't know if that's going to solve the problem totally, I might have to do major surgery on the pan, I hope not at this point in the build. Anyone with any experience with this problem please chime in! Merry Christmas, and , Happy Holidays to all! Here's some pics of where he stands: Well, it's not uploading the pics, server problems maybe, I'll try later.

Looking good Bill! You just need to run the picture files through some kind of photo software so you can adjust them before you post them, they're not 'that' bad, but,....... The interior looks good but could use some silve/chrome detail to 'lighten' it up, it's very dark in there. The body looks good from here. I've never done a multi-colored body before, (I have one in the planning stages for a Miss Deal Studebaker) have you encountered any problems? . Looking good on the build Bill, Merry Christmas! And, Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing! I thought those welds were real Tim, has anyone commented on what appears to be a 'Cobra' symbol on the inters box? -
I'd buy it for sure.

Tim, I paint outside, AND , with rattle cans, life is hard, lol. I've found the the most crtical element of the weather, other than overall temp, and , wind conditions (I live on the edge of the prairie) is the 'relative' humidity. I'll try that this spring, with the higher temps you mention. I'll check out Harry's car too.

That engine bay is looking REAL good Bill! It may have been awhile since you have built a kit, but , your skils don't seem to have suffered too much.

New kits with flaws.

Seems to be one of the more, (if not 'the' most) relevant posts in the whole thread. The major (the elephant in the conversation if you like) issue with domestic companies doesn't apprear so much to be people 'not' doing their job(s) to assure quality kits, but , rather the fact that those kits are being manufactured on the other side of the world and the problems inherent in that fact. Go figure. I love modeling, and will continue to purchase and build kits -

Not familiar with the effect you're going for, but, would like to see. Maybe you can show a spoon when you get one done. -
X2 Really nice work Jeremy. Love it when someone puts this kind of effort into a build!
-
Those pieces look good from here Jeremy, keep at it, should make a stunning product.

Adam, that is outstanding my friend, I can see why you're so excited about it, love that yellow, beautiful work! -
Tim, this is outstanding and very inspirational! And yes! It belongs in the Drag Racing section, we need something truely different here! Plus, part of the design was inspired by Tommy Ivo! And, it goes in a straight line. Great work, can't wait for spring. Tim, Do you paint outdoors?

Niko, I think the weathering on the block is just about right, the valve covers and bottom plate look fine as they are. I found that making this AMT Fiat DD look 'real' took a 'LOT' of prep work. Do you have a body color yet? -
Nice fix on the radiator. That engine bay is looking good! (Pictures are better now too).

Everything looks great Brizio. How did you do the tires? Are they rubber, or , resin/plastic? -
Bill, that engine is looking good man! On post #30 your picture was bigger, that makes them easier for us to see what you've done. Keep up that good work! Can't wait to see more.

Wow! That is beautious! The solder joints/seams look like something on a 1:1 build. Tim, what are the " inters? Thanks. -
Brad, thanks very much. The decals are on the car, I need to get some update pics up, there were some pics that showed how they were going to look that got lost in the server transfer. Yes, I'm in the home stretch!!!!!!!!! Just messing with the tint on the windows, and then final assembly begins. Thanks for the comment Brad! How's your 'Puffer coming along?
