It had about 3 or so paint jobs on it.

Here old school pictures of the car, with the white walls and steel wheels, definitely and odd bird.

The owner said it was more of a pepto pink thank panther so I used the closest pink I had to that and I think it's pretty close.

After seeing this barn find at last years MCACN show of this 1 of 1 pink 1969 super bee, I was chatting with the owner and he showed a few vintage pictures of the car as it was when new. I knew I had to build this odd car. Revell/ monogram kit was the base, revell 68 charger wheels and hubcaps, mpc coronet tires and harts parts resin for the hood and side scoops. Rustoluem pink was the base and then topped with 2k auto clear. Pretty happy with how it turned out and a nice change for this kit I've built a dozen times.

No talk about the Round2 1971 Dodge Demon ?

I'll wait till they show up at a local hobby shop and buy half a dozen. Rather support the little guys and help keep the hobby alive. -
MPC Dodge 'Country' Charger Open Box Review
iangilly replied to hpiguy's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Not happening. The original tooling is long been changed. Also hard to justify the cost of new tooling when so many 68-70 charger kits exist already. -
I know all 3 of the guys behind the new johan and they are not affiliated with Okey at all, completely new company. They don't want to put a bad taste in any mouths so theyre starting off small with the trailer to see how those do and are going from there. They won't do any sales till they have product in hand.

No demon? Isn't that due out in November?

1970 Dodge Challenger Kits - Whose is best?
iangilly replied to jjsipes's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I think the monogram kit is ok, not perfect but it works. For best results I like to use an annual body and the use an amt engine and chassis. Its a shame round 2 hasn't retooled the body on the amt with how many times they've released it. -
I really wish they would a bit of work and retool to a 67 or a 68 barracuda, so tired of the 69s and it was just released a couple years ago.

Steve If you thought the convertible sold well, I can't wait to see how many hardtops sell when the orders open.
-
He was contacted by revell to build 2 version of the car. He builds for me occasionally ans happen to see it on his workbench.
-
Saw the actual model this past weekend at a guy's house who was building the box art car, looks really sharp. Not a mustang guy but this kit is leaps and bounds above the mpc kit.

Test shot of Moebiuse Altered wheel base '65 Dodge coronet

Not complaining, but just curious what's taken this kit so long to be released, this was 1st mentioned in early 2022 -

As a curbside builder, I'm fine either kind of chassis/ engine bay. I'm just happy to have a kit that isn't $400+ or a resin. This kit will sell crazy good, I know I'll buy at least 6. -

I joked about this being the next kit they released from the dead, they didn't really confirm or deny so anything is possible.
-
It's better looking Than what they had offer back in the 60s and 70s kits, I should have taken a picture of it, but im sure one will turn up here eventually. I'd describe it as one step down from the roadrunner chassis.
-
I talked to the guys at round 2 about the coronet in depth. This is all new tooling. The chassis is a new version that's a bit different than the old style promo chassis that came with the kit. Its a mix between the promo stle and the amt syle the gaps arent as bad.The exhaust and axle will be separate. You will be able to fit the 70 super bee/gtx/ roadrunner stuff underneath. The trailer isn't the same as the one in the 63 nova wagon and a hardtop version will eventually be out. I don't care if it doesn't have the updated chassis and engine I'm just glad there will finally be a 68 coronet kit for under $100. Hats off to round 2 for listening.

Ramchargers and d50 are welcome reissues in my book.

Some good kits getting release I'll probably grab a few roadrunners and 442 kits.
