  1. Spellcheck is such a joy sometimes!I just noticed a typo in my own comment, above! 'tough' instead of 'though'! Cheers, -Don.
  2. What an interesting subject, even though it sadly can't be made to run. At least there's no danger of wearing out those notorious rotor tip seals. May I respectfully suggest you correct the typo in the Subject heading? Cheers, -Don.
  3. Yes they were fun to look at, no offence meant, Jesse,
  4. Fair comment! Also the GT70, thought that was a lot less successful. And the handling benefits generally speak for themselves. Just call me old-fashioned!
  5. It's a fake. Not a genuine survivor - but in fairness, pretty well put together.
  6. These aren't Palmerisms, they're body kits.?
  7. We had a choice of one of those creations or a proper Daimler DS4200. We chose the Daimler, naturally.
  8. Mid engined cars? Nah. Ford did good not to persevere. '"Take the cylinders out of my kidneys The connecting rod out of my brain, my brain From the small of my back get the crankshaft And assemble the engine again" Best not to turn your back on the engine!
  9. I once wrote to Motorhead to try to get sponsorship for a car I was racing. I got a letter back: 'Sorry, Don, the band ain't that rich.' I saw Hawkwind after Lemmy left once. They weren't anything like the band they were before. Saw Nik Turner solo too, playing outside a festival and painted completely silver, head to foot. Great sax man. I didn't like his new direction, as I remember - we just walked past.
  10. Well thanks Snake I just might! Cheers! Oop - I just looked and they're all in the US. Postage to the UK is around $60. But maybe one will turn up for sale in the UK 'cos now I really want one! ?
  11. Maybe it's that excellent blue fogged paint job!
  12. Is that what crack does, make people go on Ebay and buy part-built and incomplete AMT Mustangs for too much money? That's pretty sinister.?
  13. Ok Snake, I'll bite. I reckon it's the one with no wheels 'cos people are strange!
  14. Lovely models. Good to look at,
  15. And it looks great. I never knew this concept car existed so thanks for the education!
  16. Nice! I got to know Martin Ace (he sometimes played with Man) a bit in the last decade, he played with a drummer friend of ours regularly in a gigging rock'n'roll band. Love Man, never saw them. Was Lemmy with Hawkwind when you saw them? Cheers, -Don.
  17. My ears were ringing for 3 days after I saw them in '76. The car sounded awfully quiet on the way home!
  18. I like it, looks like a real one would be fun. Shame there never was such a thing.☺️
  19. I envy you! For me it was Hawkwind, Hammersmith Odeon 1975. Time stood still for a while...
  20. I just don't get chance to build models or much else geniunely recreational any more. But my holy trio would be these (I'd paint the Bandit a deep metallic blue like the Hot Wheels one and the one I built years ago):
  21. Thanks. There's a few of us would like to see the finished machine! Any chance, Bruce?

    Car wreck

Wow - the impact was so bad that the Partridge family bus seem to have been knocked right out of scale compared to the other vehicles!
  23. Makes sense, thanks Dave!
