  1. Lookin' forward to it.
  2. Man if I would have started off with what you did I think my outcome would have come out worse than with the putty on the side. lol . Great work goin' on here!
  3. Wow! What a clean build!!!! I had a red coupe just almost like this one and it sure brings back some memories.
  4. This is cool!! Thumbs up here!
  5. That looks like a good build to me especially considering that its the Revell kit. The last time I built one of those was about 30-ish years ago. I've got a Tamiya Mustang in the stash as well and one day I hope to build it.
  6. Tyrone I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your builds. This is some inspiring stuff and I learn something every time I check in it seems like.
  7. Thanks Lloyd! Tadah!!! I'm now able to get back on this site at work!!! Cool!!
  8. Thanks Kevin! I've been on this one now for almost 6 months and with any luck I'll be done by the end of the year. lol
  9. Hmm.....looks to be a cool build.
  10. I've always been drawn to this car. I've never really cared for the wheels but the layout is awesome. Great job on a really wild car Bernie!
  11. Thanks Mike! I dunno yet. I'm just building on it somewhat steadily and seeing where it goes. We'll see how "professional-built" it is when it all starts coming together near the end. You know that point where all the "boo-boos" that weren't thought out all the way through start to show up? lol .
  12. I'll second that! Cool build!
  13. I'm not through building fully finished muscle cars just yet. Maybe one day when I get bored with the high gloss finishes I'll take on a project like this. I'll have plenty of help with threads like this though I can tell ya that!
  14. I've got this kit in the stash. Looking forward to the build there Kevin!
  15. Ok fellas. Finally some worthwhile benchtime this morning. I managed to modify the OOB rear flooring to fit around the wheel tubs in the back and mate up to the original front floor section almost perfectly. I shot primer, then the red coat and then flocked it after the red had dried. So far so good. The wheel tub coloring / flocking is up next. From here: To here:
  16. I remember that van of yours and that was / is incredible!
  17. Thanks Dave , Richard and Carl! I'm going to try to make some sort of progress on this jewel tomorrow morning. A couple of days ago I spent the morning doing repairs. One of the headers broke off of the motor, the dang gas pedal came unglued and the R/H rear wheel started moving on the axle. Got all that fixed. Hopefully I can squeak some bench time in. Thanks for the good word in regards to my wife Carl. Some days are good and some are bad. It's all part of the recovery though and overall she's doing great so far.
  18. That's some pretty awesome body work there Todd!! White pearl above the side trim and purple metallic below it is what I'm thinkin', however it's been posted here already.. 1.) What colors do you like? and 2.) Have you seen a similar truck somewhere with a paint job that strikes your interest?
  19. Thanks Darrell and Lloyd. Things have been a little better in regards to resting through the night. We went to a Def Leppard concert Thursday night and she handled that ok. We took our 12 year old son and we all had a good time. Styx and Tesla were there as well and did a great job but Def Leppard really rocked the house! Well I spent dang near an hour at the bench over the weekend to work on the interior a little more. It was enough to get the seat belts assembled and finished..........
  20. Just jumped in on this one Rich. I've never thought of doing anything like this but I do like the work your doing on it. More please...........
  21. And therefore and a heavily customized '54 Chevy.................in the works. Thumbs up Greg!
  22. I haven't really been on this one as much as I'd like lately due to a new phase of my wife's brain aneurism recovery. Overall she is doing very well but has been up between the hours of 2-5 a.m. (which puts it right in the sweet spot of my usual bench time of 4-5a.m.) with leg pains. Priorities are in order and I tend to her to help her through this time. I'd like to extend some appreciation to Mr. Greg Pugh for the inspiration for this build. I was going to tackle this car any way but I was going to go with the gasser look originally. After seeing his I couldn't help but to slam mine as well. Although I wont be going to the masterful lengths that he is with his '54, I am going further than I thought I would with mine. Thanks Greg and for all who peek in and encourage me along here.
  23. I'm right there with you on that one Bill. When I started mine I had no idea this thread existed and in reading it I see more flaws than I would have known about. I'm definitely looking forward to more progress on this one. My progress is stalled for the time being as my wife is now waking up at around 1-2 am due to a new phase of her recovery from the ruptured brain aneurism a couple of months ago. Its all a priority thing and as soon as this phase of her recovery looks like it's over I should be back on it.
  24. Whoa HO HO YEAH!!! Lookin' totally killer Rich!! That finish is beautiful man!!
