  1. Sounds very interesting......
  2. I missed the responses to this due to all I have going on right now but I appreciate each and every one of them. She'll definitely see another show.
  3. I'll do that Mark.
  4. Thank you all for your support and concern. With each day she gets better and better. I just got through talking to her and she is having to accept a few things/ changes but I'm talking her through it by paralleling some of our experiences. Acceptance goes a long way towards recovery ...of any kind. She's listening. There have been times where she didn't but I think she is now.
  5. Thanks Bill. This has been pretty good fun so far. I've actually made a little more progress on the engine but will save the photos for when I have more done.
  6. Got any other shots of it Mike? Looks pretty dang good from the angle I'm seein' it from.
  7. Thanks Richard. She was released from ICU yesterday and was transported to a rehab center where she will continue her recovery. She's a bit shaken by some of the things that were revealed in therapy but she knows she's very fortunate to be doing as well as she is. With any luck she'll be back home fairly soon.
  8. Thanks Kevin, Martin and Greg! Martin: I've always liked this kit since I was 14 years old and now have a second chance at it. I just don't care for the gasser look like I used to with this one.
  9. Woooooow......
  10. I'm on six different forums and can say that this by far is my favorite forum (and among the first) that I post to. Great people, great staff and totally awesome folks to go to for help. That includes automotive AND aviation!! In short......I don't think we have anything to worry about.
  11. Watching this come together has been really fun. I like the vision as well as the implementation of the ideas behind that vision at work here.
  12. Thanks Mark! Work flow on this one has been "hit or miss" as of late but I'm trying to make steady progress with it. Hopefully I won't be 10 months on this build. lol
  13. Just to show that I am still making progress on this bad boy. The wire looms/ retainers were a real PIA only in the fact that the holes were too dang small. I had to drill each hole out to .024" to be able to run the wires through them. The two hole looms were a nightmare to insert the second wire through due to the fact that they flopped all over the place. A friend of mine (Mopar D) gave me the trick of leaving them on the PE fret and installing them over the wires that way but during the drilling process they came off of the fret! Anyways here the engine is with the wires mostly ran. I've got the spark plug boots slipped onto the wires and painted and all the wire looms in place. Now for final routing and wire insertion into the cylinder heads. I've got the ignition coil all painted up as well and ready to go.
  14. That wouldn't be Kings Hobby would it?
  15. Nice score on the book and the Fokker Kevin! Some say I'm crazy for getting it but I just love this spacecraft and there's really no other halfway affordable version I can think of than in this scale that's worth a dang. So I just had to have the Revell re-release of the Fine Molds kit to use as a platform. Don't worry, my wife admitted for me that I'm nuts..... My son wanted this..... (upon opening it I should have known it was a bit more than he could handle but it's going to safe keeping for now)
  16. Thanks Kevin. We'll see what happens when that time comes I guess.
  17. Thanks Dan, Tom and Dave. So far she's recovering well. I was just up there yesterday spending our 20th Wedding Anniversary with her and she walked about 8 ft forwards and 8 ft backwards. She also did some occupational therapy yesterday. Wore her out but she got through it ok. Thanks for all the support fellas.
  18. Man I hate to hear that about the interior set. I can't tell you how many times I've bought AM items only to use just a few parts out the set. I know you'll do this one right though.
  19. These aircraft really took a beatin' from Allied fighters but I've always liked the lines of this bird! Will be watching.(A 1/32nd scale? This thing outta be HUGE!)
  20. Jeez. I hope it doesn't come to nursing homes for her. She's 46 years old. I guess we'll find out in the weeks to come but I'd just as soon she come home. Thanks for the kind words Joe.
  21. I did not. But I do thank you for the info as a lot of the folks on my thread here who are trying to educate me. Thank you all. I'm currently researching and digging. This'll say it... https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=terminator+i'll+be+back+clip&view=detail&mid=B715B1F3996CDFB65999B715B1F3996CDFB65999&FORM=VIRE5
  22. I'm a humble guy. There were no awards for this one this go round. Got totally shut out by the competition with her. In my defense there was a lot of great competitors at that show but I'm still happy with the outcome.
