  1. Thanks Kevin. We'll see what happens when that time comes I guess.
  2. Thanks Dan, Tom and Dave. So far she's recovering well. I was just up there yesterday spending our 20th Wedding Anniversary with her and she walked about 8 ft forwards and 8 ft backwards. She also did some occupational therapy yesterday. Wore her out but she got through it ok. Thanks for all the support fellas.
  3. Man I hate to hear that about the interior set. I can't tell you how many times I've bought AM items only to use just a few parts out the set. I know you'll do this one right though.
  4. These aircraft really took a beatin' from Allied fighters but I've always liked the lines of this bird! Will be watching.(A 1/32nd scale? This thing outta be HUGE!)
  5. Jeez. I hope it doesn't come to nursing homes for her. She's 46 years old. I guess we'll find out in the weeks to come but I'd just as soon she come home. Thanks for the kind words Joe.
  6. I did not. But I do thank you for the info as a lot of the folks on my thread here who are trying to educate me. Thank you all. I'm currently researching and digging. This'll say it... https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=terminator+i'll+be+back+clip&view=detail&mid=B715B1F3996CDFB65999B715B1F3996CDFB65999&FORM=VIRE5
  7. I'm a humble guy. There were no awards for this one this go round. Got totally shut out by the competition with her. In my defense there was a lot of great competitors at that show but I'm still happy with the outcome.
  8. Thanks Dave. She's a tough lady and is willing to do a lot for herself. She's tougher than a lot of men I know................
  9. So far.........so good Nick. The prayers are working. There's just no other explanation for it.
  10. Man thanks Craig.
  11. Carl: Gratitude can't begin to cover it. Roy: I appreciate the comments. One day at a time we're makin' it.
  12. Thanks Richard. I found out this evening that the doctor wants to start rehab pretty soon so that is really good news. She's in for a ride but the big picture looks great.
  13. Thanks Dan and Tom. So far she's recovering well. She can speak normally and move all four limbs. Her fine motor skills need some work but she is working real hard to maintain her independence by trying to feed herself and use her hands. She will be in ICU for the remainder of this week and maybe half of next week but will undergo physical and occupational therapy while she's there. I appreciate all the comments, concern and prayers.
  14. Thanks Wayne! I may try to run her at the Nationals in '18 of they're going to be at San Antonio
  15. Thanks Kevin and Scott. Yeah I was unsure if I was going to be able to do anything with it but I made it work fairly well. You can see it if you look close enough (and is what knocked me out of getting Best Aircraft in Show-It was between me and this 1/32 scale F-4 Phantom which I was totally flattered that it was even being considered for that) but other than that it looks fine.
  16. I had a really good friend one time who had a good "counter punch" for that one. Don't say you can't , just say you won't.
  17. Wife is talking good and healing well so far. Good day today was.
  18. That's pretty good. lol. My sister in law says, "Post to". As in "You're post to obey the law." But then again she aint the brightest bulb either. Funny story....and true unfortunately. I went over to her house to pick up my son a few years back. I walked through the living room (the front door was wide open) and noticed the TV out in the living room was on but was blacking out and coming back to "TV" in a rhythmic way. So I go back to her bedroom where she's watching TV in her room with my son and asked her what was up with the TV in the living room blinking on and off the way it was. She replied, "It's those dang airplanes that fly over with their radar on." ( She lives near an airport that has Navy trainer planes doing "touch and goes" all the time). I couldn't help but notice the TV in her bedroom was working just fine so I said , "But Liz, your TV in the bedroom works just fine." Her reply?............"That because they don't fly over this side of the house stupid!"...................I turned and just walked away with my son.
  19. Thank you Joe.
  20. Man thanks JC.
  21. After the upper and lower wing separated at the wing root on the starboard wing in transit to the last show I went to with this one I didn't think I'd be able to enter it in another contest. I was able, however, to repair it and make it presentable for her last appearance on the show circuit before retiring her to the display case for good. She won 1st place in the category and then something I didn't see coming was this: A special award for Best WWII Axis Aircraft in Show: She went out with a bang.... Given all that's happened over the last few days with my wife this is a momentary distraction from it. Thanks to all who have voice concern and prayers, Joe
  22. Thank you Ray, Kevin & Joe. Joe I'm sorry to hear that. It was close on this end. I had just went to a model show in SA the day prior so she was all by herself that day. I thank God for being right in front of her when it happened. Every time I think about how things could have turned out it scares me down to the core. Again thank you everyone who's voiced support, prayers and concern .
  23. Thank you guys. Today is just monitoring. I'll be taking my son & her sister back to Corpus today and returning here to San Antonio later this evening .
