  1. As rubber tires do not rust I suggest removing some of that finish on those surfaces. Your gun metal color looks great BTW.
  2. Any updates?
  3. We woke up this morning to 4" of new snow and the sound of one of our dear neighbors snow blower running in our drive way as he cleaned everything out for us. Great people!
  4. I agree, both pieces look good. You might consider extending the Chevy hood profile down and over that grille rather than create a ledge there. I would add some representation of hydraulic cylinders under the back side of that bed spoiler to make it look like it would be adjustable from in the cab at speed.
  5. How 'bout a ?53 Studebaker style front end ?
  6. What is that boat tail coupe sitting in your work space? Looks interesting.
  7. Blinding plow drivers
  8. looking very slick. I like the idea of having the exhaust exit through the license plate indentation. I suggest molding those headlight farings into the lower body profile. They are the only squarish feature on that front end. Thanks for posting your progress here for us to enjoy.
  9. Thirty years old and very much on trend with it's "industrial" look. Great stuff Tim.
  10. I had no idea that this idea had been explored previously. I have had a life long intrest in the origin of words and phrases and wondered what motivated members to choose these names. My personal thanks to all responders.
  11. New intake is spot on. Very much in style with the overall design of the balance of the project.
  12. Nice that you can get some bench time in while at work. I used to work on some of mine during lunch back in the '70's so I know that's a great thing to enjoy.
  13. We were coming home from Columbus,Oh yesterday north on I33 and got passed by a lifted pickup pulling the strangest trailer I ever saw. The trailer was about 20' long, divided into two length wise sections. The upper sides, roof and central divider were covered in heavy steel mesh. The floor and font wall were wooden. What first caught my eye as he blew by running at least 80 mph were the two rather crude large targets drawn on the inside of those wooden walls. I said to myselfelf "that's a little odd". The explanation for all of this oddness was the "Mobile Axe Throwing" sign hanging from the rear end. Really ?? Who thinks up stuff like that? Sorry but no photo as he was gone in a flash. At 80 within 10 miles of an Ohio Highway Patrol post he was really asking for a nice fat speeding ticket.
  14. Very cool story. I had wondered if that was the back story. Thanks for sharing.
  15. Is this a 1/32nd scale kit?
  16. Looking good. I now foresee a lot of Putty,Sand, repeat,Putty,Sand, repeat in your immediate future.
  17. Next you might consider tapering the profile of those front wheel flares clear back to where the cab side windows are for a more swoopy look.
  18. Nice old school custom build indeed. Makes me wonder what Barris and other customizers were thinking when they did this on full size cars in the 1940's and '50's. Thanks for sharing.
