  1. Love the hunkered down, wide-tired, street racer look! I personally wish the hood was all black, but I think its because Im soo used to seeing them in black!
  2. Thanks everyone. I am getting a new phone today. So maybe new/better pictures.....
  3. I actually misted some flat clear on the tires but it didnt change their look. I was quite confused! It is REAL rust
  4. I'm going to attempt to make the correct grille. Wont be spot-on. But close enough. Will be using evergreen and a photo etched grille.
  5. without flash Yeah, I know, the engine is crooked. Let me know what you think! Enjoy!
  6. Been working on this thing off and on forever. I dont have a permanent place to build so anything takes me a long time nowadays. I fogged the whole car with a flat clear to make a dusty look on the windows. It's not a perfect model, forgot to build a roll bar for it. But I'm happy with it. with flash
  7. I'll start an under glass topic for the finished pic.
  8. Final pics before it goes "under glass" Yes... I've been here since like last year and FINALLY finished something. lol Sat the engine down on the frame, I notched the body of the car to fit the headers, and they seem to fit pretty good on the engine in the frame. Used a blackwash and got the plug wires dirty and aged looking. Got the front lights in, well, minus one. But I think it adds a touch of forgotten charm to it. Interior is simple. No roll bar, didnt have the materials to build one... plus, I completely forgot. I *may* do this later. Wheels and tires on the frame Close up of the engine on the frame Added the Bel Air hood ornament, and glued the grille in place.
  9. Oh yeah.... its definitely happening now. Been staring at the car on my shelf thinking "what should I do with it...." Got links for the wheels and rotors?
  10. Door is definitely too tall on the Torino. Looks like an easy fix though. I will definitely buy a few.
  11. I finally got in touch w/ the member who was supposed to send parts for my Charger. Hoping to get them soon. Then I will be back to working on it!
  12. I started a General Mayhem, but I haven't finished it. I need to though, because its part of the Cannonball Run 2014 build...
  13. Roadkill has pretty much inspired many of my future kit builds! I just need to cut the grille out since its a newer style grille, and find something w/ an older eggcrate grille to graft it in, like the Muscle Truck has.
  14. Got two little gems off ebay. As if I dont have enough to do. I was trying to get these 5 mustangs that were on there, but the bidding went to $50 and I was out like swimwear in the winter. First was a Chevy stepside truck. I thought it was neat, paid a little more than I wanted to, but I really wanted it for a project. Then I bought this lonely, plain looking little '40 Ford coupe. Won the auction completely unchallenged. I dont think I'm going to do much with it, I like it just the way it is. I may add a little bit of weathering to go with a patina'd look. So, for the truck... I'm thinking....
  15. Where'd you get the brakes? I have the same car that I built years ago, due for a rebuild.. was also going to do it in Black, w/ either black or red interior. looks killer!!!! love the wheels on this car too!!!
  16. I've always wanted to build a group of 67-71 Chargers. Looks great! Only thing that I would do, would be to add realistic license plates, and fix whatever is going on w/ the back of the hood sticking up. Other than that, gorgeous!
  17. I dont like hydro lowriders, or gold chrome daytons, or any of that type of car culture, just not my thing... but man... the work you do, is stellar!
  18. Saw this today on the way in to work.
  19. "The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take ya 10 minutes to hack thru it with this..... if youre lucky, you can hack thru your ankle in 5 minutes......Go!"
  20. I'd love to have a bunch of those Monogram '30 Model A coupes. 30-31's are my favorite. BTW - Peter, LOVE the Possum van in your avatar!
  21. These make me uncomfortable just looking at them. They just dont feel right!
  22. I know where there is a '55 is that was shortened like the top car!! But, its completely rotted out and twisted, sitting on a trailer.
  23. I got this off of ebay. I think I have a hotrod addiction... I'll be adding it to the list of rebuilds...
  24. Oh same here. I'm just hoping it got more screen time than Mad Max 1 and 2. Car deserves it. Supposedly it was to be based sometime after Mad Max 1, and Mad Max 2, but if the interceptor gets destroyed in this one, that leads me to believe this is more of a reboot than a movie to follow the original story line. But, in seeing the preview, it looks to me that its just a reimagination of Road Warrior/Mad Max 2... because many of the scenes and ideas look to be reimaged scenes from that movie... Interceptor being flipped and blown up... people being captured and strapped to poles on the front of vehicles... Max being the one to drive the semi truck chased by 100's of baddies... They've definitely given him a darker personality. Old Max wouldnt have killed the lizard like in the opening. Max was a damaged individual emotionally due to the loss of his wife and baby, but didnt harbor hatred for all living things and still had a soft side. He had Dog in Road Warrior... and the music box he gave to Feral kid. This movie makes it look like he just hates everyone and every thing. But, I could be wrong in my interpretation. We will see.
