  1. Welcome and cant wait to see the project!
  2. I'll just be glad if we get to see the Interceptor more than a combined total of 10mins before it gets blown to smithereens like in Road Warrior. Such an awesome car to only get a little bit of screen time in the first 2 movies.
  3. Where do you get your random trucking, farm, and other decals that you put on the doors of these creations of yours Shane?
  4. Looking good! I gotta ask.... what is the rockabilly thing that the engine and stand are sitting on? I like some rockabilly/psychobilly music!
  5. I probably have about 60-70 built on the shelf, and some packed away. I'm also really bad about hotwheels/matchbox/johnny lightning stuff too... I have bags and bags of hotwheels still in the package, packed away in the closet. Not to mention the 1:1 hobby... I've got a '94 Mustang, '88 Mustang, '77 Mustang II, 93 Lincoln Mark VIII, and my daily driver '04 Ranger Fx4 level II... used to have 2 more cars... lol
  6. I was hoping for red/white/blue lol What a cool name for a car... the Rebel, The Machine I'd love to have a '69 AMX to make a replica of my dad's old car.
  7. That is pretty much the most perfect sleeper truck ever!!
  8. I was just looking at a '57 Tbird I built as a kid, on my shelf last night, thinking how I'd like to restore it some day. I didnt paint a thing. The body was molded in red, and everything else was molded in white.
  9. thanks guys. I'd like to make a little roll cage for it, but I should have cut the back seat out before I painted it. Oh well. Guess the bars have to go down behind the back seat in the package shelf. I think I have enough spare roll cage/roll bars to make one for this car. Of course, wont be able to get to it til the weekend.
  10. I really need to just dive in head first and try my hand at a realistic looking weathered model like this... I'm afraid lol
  11. Most of the yards I've ever been to used small 4x4 trucks to get around tight spaces, one of em used old Suzuki Samurai's and Bronco II's and the other place I usually go, had a lowered ranger w/ the roof chopped off (was a custom truck that was towed in and adopted as the yard truck) Sounds like fun if I can finish what I have going on
  12. Bringing this one back from the dead for a bit. I packed up all my building supplies and unfinished kits and brought them home from my friends house. The 60+ mile drive when I get the urge to build at 7:30 in the evening sure kills the mood. So, everything has sat packed up in my closet for a few months til I found the inspiration to drag it all back out. Got me a folding table, and a milk crate as a seat, and brought everything back out. It took me a few mins to remember where I left off, but once I got my bearings, I started working on the suspension again. I glued in the front straight axle, and the arms that go on the back... radius arms? Also glued on the ladder bars underneath. Didnt take any pics though, silly me. glued the wheels together front and rear so no more fooling with that. I also glued in the red windows that are a gasser MUST. Then mocked it up to amuse myself. Other than that, it hasnt changed much!! Unfortunately I had to pack it all away for the week as I'm staying w/ sister who lives down the street from my work, to save a few bucks. But, once I get this one out of the way, I can finally focus on my Cannonball project.... If I ever get the parts from the member who was supposed to send them in April...
  13. Dont own a kindle... but would love to read that some time. Big Steve McQueen and Bullitt fan
  14. Haven't touched my Charger. Still waiting on parts from another member since April.
  15. Recently had a great trade experience with JeffK
  16. I kinda think i need a couple of these kits now lol
  17. thats exactly what I was thinking about the Revell kit. something looked just... off.. with it.
  18. I have like 60 kits, and I'm not going to build all of them immediately, and my problem is that I keep accumulating more. I'm only 28, but I took about a 10 year break from the hobby. Most I bought when I was a teen/late teen, some are pretty rare as far as modern kits go, but my biggest deal is, I only have 1, maybe two if im lucky of certain kits, and I catch myself thinking of multiple iterations of how I want to build this ONE kit.. then I tell myself I need more than one kit. So usually I dont build a kit until I 100% decide what I'm going to do w/ it, and build another kit instead. Or, I get a new kit, and it pushes the kits that I'm less interested in building to the back of the line. I'm bad about that. I organize them in my closet where I keep them by order of interest. Chevys at the back lol
  19. I cant wait to see how this is going to go! Judging from your past builds I bet you could simulate letters by getting a piece of tape, cutting the letters out, sticking it on the car, and painting on the rubber cement or maybe even elmers glue, then peeling the tape off slowly lol
  20. LOL!!! This is true! I didnt think about that!! haha maybe next to the window perhaps
  21. Radial engines are neat! seen em in a few cars on youtube!
  22. I agree. the proportions of the front end are a little off.
  23. Then the C pillars are shaped a bit different as well. Dunno why an '03-'04 hasnt been produced... mega popular car.....
  24. Looks good. I dont particularly care for the skirts, I like seeing the wheels. I think it needs some sort of front splitter to make the air go over the car rather than under. Plus, some daylight shots might make that green pop. good work though!! love old fords!
