  1. Fantastic work. I love old customs
  2. Steve's Wilshire Shaker is what made me want to paint my Rat Packer the colors I did.
  3. aaaaaaaaaand the destroy the interceptor again. sonofa........
  4. I'm terrible at buying things on impulse. I'm *just ok* on managing money... but I also have 4 real life project cars. Which is sort of a problem lol I like 1:1 cars I like scale models I like hotwheels/matchbox cars I like antiques, mostly vehicle related stuff like signs I like vinyl records/8tracks I like guitars I like movies and video games I like guns (but dont own any as of yet) I like spending money apparently
  5. Had these pictures on my PC at work for a while, thought I'd share them. Found them thru random Google searches for inspiration material for model building. Decided I would go ahead and post them for all to see. I got a bunch of model A and T bodies and hot rod stuff on trade lately and I am hoping to come up w/ ideas for all of it... Even got pictures of Miss Belvedere in there too... (which I want to replicate one day)
  6. 1/8 scale... thats huge!
  7. Havent seen or heard him around in a while.
  8. In my opinion that double cadillac is a little too standout-ish to be a hero car. Needs to be more subtle... like Max's interceptor of course.
  9. Pretty much any old AMT kit, like the '69 Mach1, and The General Lee, '68 Barracuda... anything molded like that. I've always fairly happy with Revell-monogram stuff, for as far back as I can recall... although I havent been building forever either. Although I do like the more detailed AMT/Ertl kits like their '71 Charger, and '71 Duster.
  10. It's funny you say that, the car that the "drag" version of this kit is based on, actually runs in the neighborhood of low 10's-high 9's. Well, did before he took it apart to change classes. I know the guy and the car.
  11. Very cool. I've got a '69 Charger I'm slowly working on for the Cannonball build that I also used the 727 trans for, and pedals, etc. Love me some wing cars!
  12. If you get "chicken" from the USA it's probably not so much chicken, as it is a "grown organism" meant for consumption. Think about that. The things the gov lets companies get away with... growing meat. Yuck. Because what we dont know cant hurt us right?
  13. I feel like I've come full circle on my "build space" I've changed interests and quit building for years, and other things took its place, no longer have a desk in my room. Taken up now by a 2x2 12" guitar speaker cabinet half stack with a guitar amp on top, crates of records in a few other corners. My build space is now a foldaway table, with a milk crate as a chair. However my stash keeps growing, and I'm a slow builder nowadays. I spend more time building my real 1:1 cars. I keep telling myself I wont buy anymore, and once I run out of trade material I'm done accumulating... but that never happens. I'd love to have the space, but I'd love to have finished models even more.
  14. Pics turned out a little bit blurrier on a big screen than on my phone, guess thats the price I pay for using cell phone for camera.
  15. NHRA stickers on it Looking down the side.
  16. No real progress on this one. Just messing with taking pictures of it and tinkering with camera effects. I finally took a picture of the chassis too. Looks how I think a car sitting in a damp barn would look after 30 or 40 years! LOL I also realized when its upside down you can see some red and black paint from its old life, I'll have to cover that up with some rust haha added some more rust to my white headers. Cant tell theyre white anymore, but they look cool
  17. Welcome. East of Cincy here.
  18. Had smooth and successful transactions with Miles "chunkypeanutbutter" and Al "thatz4u" Also Rex for some resin parts. Thanks guys!
  19. Cool, I'll check that out! I've always liked very guitar-driven music, and a friend of mine turned me on to Link Wray, and I couldnt get enough of the guy, then that sorta transformed in to looking for the next genre of music I could get in to, and I came across Reverend Horton Heat... and I cant stop listening to him, he's fantastic! Always looking for a good Rockabilly/Psychobilly/Roots Rock/Rock n Roll band now... soo much undiscovered stuff out there I'd say I like that kind of music the most now, and I used to love me some heavy metal!
  20. I would consider one as well! Always did like baja bugs. Not big on the bugeye front end, but it'll do
  21. I think in that color it would make a nice street rod with fenders.
