  4. January is officially Diamond Reo month! Your off and running buddy
  5. I keep mine in the packages as well, I just keep the packages in these tubes.
  6. I normally dont post prices, but I want to pass this great deal on. I just got these two KWs from Hobbylinc for $21.43 a piece. I also backordered aCali Hauler for $25.00. I got a bunch of cool PE stuff also. Heres the link http://www.hobbylinc.com/amt-kenworth-k123-cabover-plastic-model-truck-kit-1:25-scale-687:06
  7. Lookin great Sean. Let me know what parts your short, I may be able to find them.
  8. Since I discovered Evergreen and Plastruct, I have kept plenty of it around at all times. Keeping it organized soon became an issue. I made myself a little caddy to hold all of my plastic, but quickly outgrew it. I made a few more, and took a few pics in case it can help someone else out. The best part part is the price, free! Hopefully it will be free to you to. Anywhoo, its not very high tech, just some cut cardboard shipping tube glued to a piece of wood. It gets the job done though. Here it is. I had some scrap 1X4 and a 4" shipping tube. I cut some strips of cardboard the size of the wood to cover it. I added some wood glue and stuck on the cardboard I cut the tube to various lengths Then I glued each cut tube to the cardboard, running a strip of glue down the size of each tube. Done When this dries, it will be rock solid. I had some rectangle tube, so I made a 2nd one with that. These really help me stay organized, I hope it can help you too.
  9. Leather punches work on styrene. I bought a set of them online years ago for making gaskets and whatnot. Turns out, the part that normally gets thrown away is useful for that.
  10. Autocars seemed to be good at this. I have about ten photos similar to this. I have one framed in my shop. I cant believe these guys never broke their front axles. This also speaks to the strength of the walking beam suspension.
  11. I would definitley be interested in a kit of that subframe, headache rack, rear fender set up. Very impressive work.
  12. Construction on the dump body is finally finished. I lengthened the tailgate with the section I cut off of my dump trailer project. I need to add a taillight panel and the main hinges. I shot some color on the cab and fenders. I also made a bigger doghouse to compensate for the shorter hood.
  13. Alan! Good to hear from you buddy. I hope to see you back building. Thanks for dropping in
  14. Thanks Dennis. Im trying to get a few wrapped up. My in-progress shelf is cluttered.
  15. Thanks man. No, I cant make it to the show. I wanted to, but it just didnt work out. Are you going? Is there usually a truck turn out?
  16. I got the hood sanded and ready for primer. I mounted the roof lights and mirrors. I cut the fenders to mimic the new angle of the hood. I also scribed the fenders where they are split for the short hood. I got it all in a coat of primer.
  17. So, I put the engine in the proper place, and marked where the firewall needed to be. Before Firewall cut out New firewall More updates tomorrow
  18. When I wrap up the the Pete 359, and Diamond Reo tri-axle, I may pull this one back out.
  19. Dude.....I love it Good call on the tank color, and the black bumper. Im glad to see those wheels worked out. As simple as it is, this truck is a work of art.
  20. I havent gotten that far yet, its just sitting on the radiator support. Im going to remove the firewall and mount the engine, and then see where I need to go from there. I would estimate about .250 back from where it is. I should just extend the hood, but Im trying to avoid any cosmetic work. I wanted to knock this out in decent time, the last thing I need is another long term project. My shelves are full of those! I think Im going to cut out the grill and put in some PE mesh. Ill get back on it tonight. I want to have this rig ready when the paint gets here.
