  1. Well, for a minute I considered scratchbuilding a cab to cast a replacement conversion, until I noticed that the hood is wrong also(never really looked). So thats means a cab and a hood, which Dave already makes, so Im gonna pass. But, after digging back through my Marmon photos I found a model that I like much better. I dont know the model number, but it has a KW hood and me likes it. So, I will definitley be building one of these As for the Revell reissue, look at it for what it really is. They are reissuing the Pete 359. In a Marmon box. The kit contains the Pete grill as well as the Marmon grill, so if nothing else its a new Pete kit.
  2. Top notch work my friend. Im in suspense to see the end result.
  3. Looks great Sean, and yes it needs a little stretch. The kit builds a perfect daycab length, but they screwed the pooch on adding the sleeper. This will be the first one Ive seen built like the brochure truck, and it looks killer with the Kw sleeper.
  4. Great work Sam. This really came out great. Great combination, great execution.
  5. I guess someone could make an inexpensive cab conversion to make this kit a lil mo better. And that would make it a good situation. Ive wanted one of Daves Marmons, but its in line behind about 15 of his other kits. At $80 a pop, I cant buy as many as I used to. Theres too many Autocars to build!! I dont know what the price on this re-issue will be, but to add a correct cab for a few dollars more would be the way to go.
  6. In ten years both of these kits will be sky high on ebay. People will be beating each other over the head to get this "rare" kit.
  7. sorry to get your hopes up JT, I was fibbin
  8. Juss kiddin
  9. Your in luck, I have inside information that they are releasing the Freightliner Coranado. The only downside is 99% of the truck will be a W900 Kenworth. Oh well.....
  10. Thanks guys. This is probably the only kit Ive ever built box stock. The only added part is the stack.
  11. This is why Im not going to waste my time with the "Revell share your dream" anymore. Ive been voting for years for a modern lowboy, etc, just to have inaccurate junk like this reissued.
  12. With all of the Diamond Reos currently being built, I just realized that Ive never posted this one. Its a box stock DR kit with a dump trailer modified to be frameless. I built most of it almost ten years ago. Until recently it was sitting on the shelf about 95% complete. I finally gave it the finishing touches. Its not perfect, but it was a milestone for me at the time.
  13. Hey Sean, heres a few brochures I have. Its lookin good sofar. Id put an AMT Kw sleeper on it if your going for the look in the pic. Heres some more viewing material. Heres some short hood eye candy just for the hell of it.
  14. Excellent work. This has been a great build to watch.
  15. I had planned to do a few with the Ca hauler decals. This just confirms that it would look great.
  16. Awesome man thank you. I would like an 18x24 please
  17. Thanks man. I have to get back on it. I put it to the side to get some other things done for a show, and now Ive gotten into a few others.
  18. This is actually the Don Hientz Big Stick wrecker. The Holmes wrecker is a lot more complicated design.
  19. This is the first post of 2015!
  20. Man that thing was beautiful in the original box art.I mean seriously that might be one of my favorite builds of this kit.
  21. Well itll look better without that bulky sleeper and some more tool storage. Youll have to move the tanks forward and lose the battery boxes, but it will be a much meaner rig. Let me know when your ready!
  22. Very cool build. Im diggin the engine mods. Keep up the good work
