  1. Cliff, you definitely have a way of doing these die-cast traditional hot rods!!! Very classy stuff.
  2. That's a lot of builds in a year Sam!!!
  3. Great builds Pat!!! Every one a winner......
  4. My thoughts exactly Neil!!! I picked up my first two today! After reading this thread this morning, and seeing that people were getting them off the shelves already, I had to divert our grocery shopping to the local Hobby Town down the street, and scored. After opening this kit up, I was amazed at what I seen. Brett said it best, it's very nostalgic, with a twist uniqueness, and a true joy to see back on store shelves. The belled exhaust, and injectors being molded open is impressive. The slicks remind me of AMT's old 7.50-15 Firestone slicks, they're tiny. All in all......1 GRT KIT!!!
  5. Very creative Sean! What a clean build, and perfect subject. I wish Round 2 would do the Daytona Transport as the Ramchargers dragster hauler w/dragster.
  6. Very nice!!! Is this a kit, or a reconditioned die-cast?
  7. Both look great Terry, but I really like the black one!!! I personally like the old Monogram Deuce roadster kits, and have most of the reissues from the original Little Deuce to the present, only lacking the Early Iron, molded in black version that still had the Pontiac engine w/injection. These kits literally fall together, and look great. With a little attention to detail, these kits build up some great traditional hot rods. Here's one I did back in '93 before Revell's new '32's, and back when everybody was saying a highboy couldn't be done.
  8. Beautiful!!! I always love seeing these awesome 1/43rd's.
  9. Very, very nice Bernard!!!
  10. I've always like the 1964 Monogram "Little T"....
  11. I never get tired of looking at this one Boban!!!
  12. That would be a good question answered by one who knows!!! I'm sure that some sort of permission with the Elvis Presley Estate would be needed. I personally thought that was a lame reissue of the Manx, maybe if they would have made the few alterations needed to make that buggy correct. I just know that Round 2 didn't get my hard earned money for one.
  13. This brings me to the thought, is this deal with just the AMT brand, or Round 2? If it's a whole company thing, then here's a couple buggys that MPC did.... How about the 1/20 scale buggys from MPC, and IMC (Lindberg had these molds, and was getting ready to release the Surf Buggy before Round 2 bought them out) I'm sure there's more that just might be in Round 2's inventory, any thoughts?
  14. I was looking at Round 2's updated website this afternoon, and in the Bugaboo reissue, it says " The Kats at AMT have finally been able to acquire licensing for select Volkswagen related kits" It goes on to say that "Bugaboo is the first off the line" Hmmmmm, this is interesting. Could we be treated to something like these? Or could we see some of the John Bogosian designed VW caricature kits.... ^^^ (I know what some of you are saying about those last three, but C'mon.... ) I know that AMT has other VW based kits like the Superbug Gasser, the Scirocco, and Rabbit kits that would excite many!! I'll continue in a new post........

    From the 60's

How cool is that to stumble onto, and in your own stash..... Both are very neat pieces of history, thanks for sharing Dave.
  16. Being an AARP aged modeler, I would love to see the old Monogram hot rod kits back dated to their original versions, and a few could be 2-n-1 version kits. Say the '29 Ford pick up with two building options....1. Blue Beetle, 2. Boss A Bone. How about the '23 T brought back as....1. The Little T, 2. Sweet T, Etc. You get the idea. Even the older versions like the Red Chariot, Yellow Jacket, Etc. The Miss Deal funny car has been reissued several times now, but how about the other 1967 Bob Paeth creation, the Dodge Revellion? How about a reissue of the Corvair powered C-cabs that Bob did with Revell? The Moon Mixer, Patent Pending, T bone Stake, Etc. Who wouldn't want that series back? Orrrrrrr, maybe even a few of Revell's old annuals.....'62 Dodge Dart, plus many more. Yes, I love the old stuff, and yes I am excited to see so many old kits being reissued, that I'm beside myself at times. I know so many others want newer vehicles kitted, but in this day, and age, be happy to get a chance at some of the kits us older modelers had as kids. and just be thankful that the company's are still giving us plastic models to build....period!
  17. Another great build Pat!!! Love the whole shebang.....
  18. WOW!!! You nailed the LOOK with this one!!! Fantastic James...
  19. Great job restoring, and turning out such a neat mild custom James!!! That old Cammer looks kinda small in that engine bay these days.....
  20. Great barn find!!! Excellent weathering on this old fella.
  21. I'll be danged, another fabulous builder, that I have known for countless years......welcome Boban!!!
  22. Hmmmm, I've know this amazing model builder for many years, I am one of his biggest fans!!! Welcome aboard Tory, your work will be welcomed here amongst the clan.....
  23. About when the top secret 2014 Revell kit announcement was supposed to be! http://www.tomdaniel.com/TD_sez/td_message.html I stumbled on to this this morning, while checking Tom's site. I hope the mods don't think I put this here to get some people all worked up on "When" Revell will make it's announcement, or the TD haters complaining, but rather give you a little peek at a few that are coming back to store shelves in 2014!!! Enjoy...
  24. Always have loved the Corvair Funny's, and this one is perfectly executed. Great build for sure.
