  1. Thanks Bill!!! Actually the chassis is the 22jr dragster with a '64 Plymouth 426 Super Stock V-8, and the body is a '62 Dodge Dart 4 door. Pretty cool they kept this one Mopar.
  2. Here's a couple pics of the '73 reissue box that shows the open front end, and was the last time this kit was ever seen again. Also those copies of the original sell sheets are the icing on the cake for this set, as I have signed poster of the original box art too!
  3. I have finally finished my 47 year quest to add these to my collection!!! Seems silly, but when I was 9 years old, and walked in to the hobby shop only to see these.... I was hooked, but never did get them because back then Revell kits weren't the easiest to build. In the 80's Revell reissued the Miss Deal, and I bought several, but didn't build one until 2008. After that I knew that I had to have a Revellion to sit beside her, so in 2011, I accquired an original body minus hood. I already had several of the Tony Nancy double kits, so I had the correct chassis, I had reproduction decals made, but still no hood. After a three year search, just recently a member here had a hood!!! So, the desk was cleaned, and this grail was completed!!! A very special thank you to Mr. Chuck Darnell, and Mr. Ron Lambert for your help completing this 47 year old quest. One last thing, if you have ever seen a Dodge Revellion, team Revell back then in the frenzy kinda left the front end un-finished, so I took liberties, and made an aluminum grille filler, and some turned headlight covers, I think Bob Paeth & team would approve!!!
  4. Another Gorgeous build Sean!!! I'm always impressed with your work.
  5. Wow, that was quick Chuck, what happened?
  6. I sure wish MCM was available on more newsstands. It was suppose to be in Barnes & Noble, but never an issue at ours.....
  7. Nothing NOT to like about this beauty!!! Do you have the part # for the bumpers by chance?
  8. Yep, they did two, one like a mini racer, the other a chopper....
  9. Really nice little rod Dennis!!!
  10. This is really looking great Bill!!! I like the way you reversed the rear wheels, I was looking at them awhile back thinking the same thing..... You should add some lug nut detail with Pro Tech's smallest AN fittings.....just sayin'. At any rate, a very beautiful build!!! I have all the stuff packed in a box here to do one for ME, someday.
  11. I love this reissue!!! Now my mint original can just stay on the shelf, and age more.... The new nose looks great.
  12. I hate what rat rods have become. When I picked my user name many years ago, people started building traditional hot rods using vintage speed parts, that had rust. They were sound, safe, and the start of bringing back TRADITIONAL hot rods. Now they have evolved in to Horatius pieces of junk!!!
  13. The Model Car Garage used to sell them. Still do... http://www.modelcargarage.com/store/pc/showsearchresults.asp?idcategory=0&priceFrom=0&priceUntil=999999999&sku=&keyWord=Throttle+return+springs&customfield=0&resultCnt=6&order=0&Submit.x=36&Submit.y=10
  14. Maybe this is where the Pontiac valve covers come in? Looks like another good project Ron!
  15. Nice build Ray!!!
  16. As usual Harry, another fine example of automotive history in scale!!! Love how they all end up looking so real.
  17. I know it's been said, but, THAT is the finest example of how a 50's Kustom should look!!! Perfect in every detail Steve.
  18. A very clean build!!! Love the subject..
  19. I've always been a big fan of your builds Peter, and after looking through all those builds......I'm still a big fan..
  20. Really nice clean build Larry!!!
  21. Another beautiful custom Cliff!!!
  22. Ask Bob Downie, he uses it a lot, and very talently too.
  23. AMT, and Monogram flooded the market years ago with Nascar kits, and most of us stocked up well, now you can't hardly give them away.
