  4. Man, what a perfect build!!! Very nice work.
  5. Very nice builds!!! Gotta ask, are you the Stefan that built this Volksrod?
  6. Very nice stuff Jeff, love that gold '34!!!
  7. Very nice '67!!! Love the stance, and wheels. Your name sounds really familiar, we might have met somewhere at a contest in the PNW!!!
  8. There's so much goodness going on!!! Fantastic build....
  9. This build proves that the "old" AMT '40 still holds it's own today!!! Great build.
  10. Great batch of builds James!!! Always waiting for your newest creation....
  11. Lookin' great Ray!!!
  12. They look like pretty decent sets, but I just don't see how the P.E. window, and wheel well trim could look any better than BMF. I think they would look very tacky myself
  13. Had one as a kid, and was dumb founded when R-2 reissued it. Built this one in '08 when it came back..... A fairly simple build, but the tracks need a little extra work, I used a heated screw driver to mount all the bogie wheels, and you really need to replace the rear axle shaft with aluminum rod, as the plastic kit piece can't take the pressure of the assembled track. Good luck Ray, you don't see many built, but you can do this!!!
  14. Nice work so far Bill!!!
  15. Very Cool!!!
  16. Thanks for the heads up!!! I was a little upset when Autoworlds Collectors Club announced this as a member exclusive. I wrote to them telling them what a stupid idea it was, I guess most others thought so too. If this is a "Must Have" version of this kit, I wouldn't wait to get one.
  17. I suppose you could Roger, but when it's all together you can't hardly see it...
  18. Here's a little history on this kit, The 1964 original Blue Beetle..... This kit represented a cool 60's style hot rod roadster pick up with a beach style theme of the time. It had a Cadillac V8 with six two barrel carbs, custom bucket seats, a roll bar, and scuba gear, and a surf board. It also had a bed cover, wide white wall tires, and Racemaster slicks with five spoke rear mags, and reverse chrome steelies on the front. In 1970, Monogram, and Tom Daniel came up with a change, and this was it..... The BOSS A BONE was a multi use hot rod, it featured a new tunnel ram style intake with dual fours on an "Olds" engine with finned valve covers. Other new items unique to this version are the outside headers w/side pipes that mounted to the running boards, new five spoke mags all around with 70's style rear slicks, and front "push bar" front bumper. The bucket seats, roll bar, scuba gear, and firewall are still there from the Beetle, but gone are the surf board, and bed cover. Sometime in the mid 70's the '29 RPU was again changed, and added to Monograms "Early Iron" series.... In this issue the tunnel ram, and finned valve covers are still there, the wild headers from from the B-A-B are gone, and the Beetle style headers returned. New for this issue are 5 slot wheels, new axles front, and rear with heavier mounting pins. The new rear spring was to set the rear axle lower to go with the Goodyear rally gt tires that were included. The bench seat was new, as were the stake bed wood rails. This is the second version included in the new Blue Bandito kit!!! In the 80's, Monogram once again changed the '29 RPU..... This was a wheel & tire change only version, molded in silver. In 2014....we get this..... Kudos to Revell on this transformation!!!
  19. Scott, not at the moment, my home PC crashed, and I haven't figured out this laptop yet. BUT......I can highly recommend it, buy as many as you can afford!!!
  20. Being a big fan of the "Blue Beetle" '29 Ford pick up, and having acquired three '64 originals, I picked one of the new Blue Bandito's Saturday after work. I spent the weekend comparing the two kits, and here's what I came up with. The new reissue is a very close copy, but has a few differences, the surf board, and scuba gear appear to be from the original molds. The new chrome tree that has the rear mags, and reverse front rims (I can't believe they molded the front rims backwards, ala Lil Coffin, and Starbird Predicta on the trees) Everything looks great, but the two bar spinners are molded counter clock wise, and the original, and 1970 follow up "BOSS A BONE" have them molded clock wise. The rear mags aren't the same, the reissue mags have a smaller spoke more like the '62 Corvette Gasser, The spokes in the original are a more rounded fatter spoke. The new tree with the whitewall inserts, like the above mentioned chrome tree are obviously reverse engineered, and the seats, bed cover, and spear gun all seam to match exactly. With the secret inclusion of the "Roadster" / Early Iron version there's a molded in strip in the rear of the interior the supports the bench seat option that needs to be removed if your using the buckets (It sticks out like a sore thumb) Otherwise, what do I think of this new kit? I love it!!! It's not 100%, but it's so cool to see the '29 RPU back in this stage again, I hope they keep up with this trend.....Little T, Little Deuce, '30 Woody, ETC. One thing, if they wanted to slip in a second version, it should have been this one....
  21. Well look who is finally back at the bench!!! This thing is so amazing John, glad it's almost there.
  22. Very cool Pat!!!
  23. I have to agree with Jeff, Steve Scott will NEVER get a new kit done......EVER. I love the Uncertain T, and would love to get an original kit someday, but won't hold out for him to do it. It was cool at first when he finally came out of hiding after all these years, but after seeing him turn into a pathetic beggar, I lost the hype real quick. Not interested in his foolish dreams anymore.
