  1. Man that looks great, but I think the wheel change was wrong. The rim in the spare looks more correct.
  2. As always John.....beautiful workmanship!!!
  3. I love that one Ray! Very creative.
  4. More great stuff Darryl!!! I have 2 & 3 on the bench now.
  5. Gorgeous build!!!
  6. That came out great Bernard!!! I got two more going now, better catch up...
  7. Gene, for white headers I'd use the black oil stain in various places to detail them. As we all know white headers don't stay white for long!!! The blue & orange-ish colors are mainly for bare metal surfaces.
  8. Nice build Gene!!! Not to hijack your thread, but your gonna love that Tamiya burnt metal kit, just remember to start with a little, you can always add more, and it works great over buffed metalizers too.
  9. Great stuff!!! Love 'em both!!!
  10. Man, that is one fantastic build Matt!!! It looks real in every shot.

    59 BUICK

    Man, that is BEAUTIFUL!!!
  12. Great save Phil!!! Just having one in your collection is an honor. Just to clarify one thing..... Original issue....1967.... Only reissue....1973....
  13. That is a good point, and a great story. It would be cool to see the Revellion again, but probably will never happen, unless the price was right for the body, and tins, and in this case might end up being a mute point if the "parts" kit was priced at a full kit price. Mine has an original '67 body, and am pretty sure hood, the tins are resin, and the chassis is '80's issue Nancy kit. Glad you all liked these!!!
  14. It is soooooo much better this go round Bob!!!
  15. If the above pic is of the "NEW" Blue Bandito, then I would be stoked!!! I, and many others have been bugging Revell over the past couple years about back dating the old Monogram hot rods back to their former glory, and it seems they finally listened. Judging by the lack of interest in this thread is a little disheartening, but I know there are a bunch that will find it a great thing!!!
  16. Now that is cool!!! Very nicely done.

    48 Ford

I'm not crazy about the wheels, but the rest of this build is beyond gorgeous!!!
  18. Once again, thanks for all the awesome replies!!! It's quite an honor to add these two to my collection of old kits. As far as more grails go, why heck yes I've got several........Let's see, 1/8 Big Drag for starters........
  19. You would be correct Greg!!! It's pretty cool to see that original body, I'm wondering if they used the annual tool to modify, or if they tooled up a completely new body. After seeing yours, there seems to be quite a bit more retooling than I originally thought.
  20. Count me in for another big WOW!!! Beautiful eye candy for sure!!!
  21. Thanks again for all the positive comments!!! Greg, all good points, we did just get the Miss Deal one more time recently, but who really knows what happened to the rest of the Revellion. It was only reissued one time in 1973, and never seen again. Since the Tony Nancy kits still live, there must be the remaining body & tin parts SOMEWHERE??? Are you out there Revell?
  22. That is 100% gorgeous!!!
  23. Thanks Tom, I used HOK Lime gold, followed with some Duplicolor Metalcast clear red, all airbrushed. Thanks for all the great feedback guys!!!
  24. All of these kit were so cool, great save on yours!!!
