  1. Gee Whiz guys, so many haters..... I for one am a big fan of Show Rods, and appreciate Round 2's efforts to bring back just a few here and there to keep "US" guys happy too. John Bogosian designed the Lil Hotdogger, and many more back in the late 60's-early70's, and getting any of them back sure takes me back. Here's why after two years after they announced this reissue, I'm glad to see it really happen... This one was built using a Dave Van laser cut kit, and a Lil' Stooge kit chassis Armed with a copy of the original instruction sheet, I scratch built all the little things unique to this kit like the steering wheel, "bone" bench seat, bone shifter, bone radiator cap, fire hydrant tail light, etc. Now I can finally see how close I came.....other than the wood grain on the body....
  2. Was hoping you were going after the original box art!!!
  3. These are awesome bikes!!! I have all three Harley's, plus the sidecar. To bad Xonex went out of business.
  4. Maybe now this might be a reality.....
  5. Beautiful job!!! Got one going myself.
  6. WOW!!! Some really nice builds there. Great ideas, and exceptionally well executed. Really digging that '50 Chevy pickup.....
  7. Man, that is an impressive build!!! Great use of the Blue Streak slicks.
  8. I gotta agree with JB here. The Blueprinter release years ago started the reissue of "Parts Packs", it had both engine trees (unplated), and a plated tree with bumpers, and grilles. A great set of trees in one box at an affordable price. The Stevens reissue has both engine trees (plated), a plated Allison V-12, and the altered T body that fits the Double Dragster Fiat chassis. That's four trees in one box!!! It is nice to see these reissued in Round 2's new Parts Pack series, but I haven't bought many because my Hobby Town has them marked at $17.99 ea. As far as what to do with that Corvair engine..... It fits in the Manx like it was made for it, just cut the transaxle off the VW engine, trim the Corvair block flat, and add the transaxle. All the turbo plumbing fits, but you have to modify the body to fit the turbo & carb, no biggie, AMT gives you a cover!!!
  9. That is the finest build you've done Dennis!!! Now, we need to meet up, and race for pinks.....
  10. Exceptionally well built!!!
  11. What an awesome set!!! Be very proud Bill....
  12. Very nice Ray!!!
  13. WOW!!! A little shocked to see a 7 year old post resurface.....Thanks!!! This 47 year old race team is complete this year, with sell sheets....
  14. Really nice Bob, it's great to see these kits getting built!!!
  15. Very nice Bob!!! Just picked one up Friday. The smaller scoop looks great.
  16. One of the best Birds I've seen!!!
  17. Sorry Ray, I guess I misread what you were saying. To bad you didn't have 5 of those rims like the spare. It's still a great build of a great subject!
  18. Let's see, I graduated in '76, so I would have been 19 in '77, I'm sure we're semi close in age, if so......That has got to be an amazing feat to make the biggest dog of a '56 model look so impessive!!! That is Box Art good!!! Looking at the front end makes me chuckle about how poorly done this kit really is....
  19. Where's the dang "LIKE" button?
  20. You'll build anything huh Bob? Great to see you step out of your norm! That thing looks great, nice weathering.
