  1. OK, thanks guys. So, are these boxes lined? Like with wood or similar. Seems like loose things would bang around and if heavy could cause damage. Any pics of these boxes and how you have things stored?
  2. LOL. Hey Matthew, the hidden boxes are where it stinks the most. ...."hidden bodies". I'd guess the there's a box to hide stuff just ahead of the fuel tank. Flip the lid and have a peek.
  3. Hi guys, I had a couple of General Questions going on here and lots of good info came up. I see on some big rigs an array of boxes on the frame rail sides. What in them? What do you have stored away? Also, if you have a truck with just one fuel tank, which side would you prefer it be on. I can imagine driver's side. Anyone? Thanks. Michael
  4. Guys, are those Heavy Haul trucks FWD too? I like 'em.
  5. I'll 2nd that. Even though I'm not participating in the BRBO....(what does that mean again?..lol) I still think it's great that you guys have an incentive to get off your butts and on the bench! Let's see some pics! Clayton, you did good. Michael
  6. Brian, is that last pic the cab you're doing? Geez, I'm nuts about this one! Yeah man, stretch that thing, I love it. PS: I wish they'd bring back those old phones. Too heavy to carry around, so you don't waste time looking for the silly small phone when it rings. my wife has 3 phones, yet I can seldom reach her on any of them. Modern times?
  7. YES! Man, look at this rig! That's is a good looking project. An old cab with a super long frame, that's interesting. Good plans Brian.
  8. Interesting. Do you build the deck upside down too.
  9. Good luck with your build. I'm sure there are lots of experts here should you need help.
  10. Terry, Clayton....those pics are just sick. Gino, good you're doing this now. This forum needs a needle nose real bad. That's just a killer look. Gino, I don't understand how you made the hood narrower up front for the needle grill. Maybe I missed something. Good work with the grill! Good stuff here. Michael
  11. Hello Stefan. I don't know which German forums you 're a member of, but for sure you will find this forum to be very friendly and peaceful. We all like to see lots of pics, so let's have some fun and build some models. Maybe show us your most recent build to get better acquainted. I speak/write fluent German if you need some inside help, let me know per PM. Greetings, Michael
  12. Hoo-rah! Gino, I'm excited about this project and looking forward to a learning experience on bashing the AMT 359. I like! I think too the needle nose is a great idea. Mind you, a couple days ago I didn't have a clue what one even was.... That's OK, the main thing is to show some love for big trucks, right? I read you loud and clear! Michael
  13. Hallo Jürgen, just excellent! That's really a fine build. I've seen your 64 Dodge over there on that crummy German forum, and I really like what you do. This truck though takes the cake. Wonderful. Michael
  14. Whoa! What a great build. Man I really like this one. When I read oil filed truck I thought, OK this ought to be drippy and runny with oil and just filthy. It's not, but the way you weathered this rig just oozes "working truck". Any oily grunge would just take away from the way you present this model. The cables and wheels and overall appearance are commendable. Really great work Dave.
  15. That's a fine looking truck! I really like the color theme, and the build just looks super clean. I like it. Not too flashy, the lack of super shiny chrome makes it stand out, my opinion. Plus the dulled tires just adds to the overall smooth look. Good job.
  16. Great choice of parts Jesus. This is an interesting build, I like it already. Michael
  17. KJ, those are great looking parts. The spoke wheels are just too good, great that they're 2 piece too, man I have some plans for those in the future.
  18. Looking good Rob. I had a grin about you getting a couple of more kits. I feel the same way. Good fix on the hood too. Michael
  19. I'd like to update this topic. I just found this site. Beautiful restorations, but also good views of lots of lines running out back. http://www.kustomtruck.com/restoration-3.html
  20. I like! That red oval vehicle is cool in my book. Hmmm, the look kind of fits too in my current project plans. Yep. That's a long wheelbase. Amazing, as a Day Cab, that would be real long. I like.
  21. Looking very good.
  22. Tim, I appreciate you rambling on.... OK Gino, you're all set to go. Looking forward to your build.
  23. You're just being yourself. You said; "Not a truck guy , but find it aggravating when an acronym is used as if it were common knowledge. " Maybe some folks think other things aggravate. Have you ever built a model? 22,000,000 posts. Give or take. Dude, do you actually build models? We do.
  24. Thanks Tim, So does this mean a 359 can have a butterfly hood, or only with the needle nose hood?
  25. Man that green Chevy with the spoked wheels kills me! Is there an old GMC kit or something along these lines with those wheels out there? Gino, sounds like you have a plan.
